never been possible. We also thank P.B. Kale Sir for giving us this opportunity to explore the
real world and realize the interrelation, without which a Project can never progress. We are also
thankful to our supporting staff of the computer department, parents, and friends for providing
us with relevant information necessary clarifications, and great support.
This project involves the development of a hospital management system using the html, css, and js
language. The hospital management system includes the registration of patient using database and
store the patients information. In today's world, the information flow is very fast, and
organization that's using them. Online connectivity is now a must for all well-organized and
well-managed establishments. One such field .is Healthcare where the digitisation of
information should happen rapidly and efficiently. This project addresses that particular
region and paves the way for the creation of software that helps to an easy transition. It an
idea of such a web-based platform that eliminates the need for paper prescriptions in
Hospitals that proposes E-Medical Management which will increase the efficiency of
patient management, schedule management of the doctors and give universal access to the
patient data any where in the hospital.includes registration of patients, storingtheir details into
the system, and also computerized billing in the pharmacy, and labs. Oursoftware has the facility
to give a unique id for every patient and stores the details of every patient and the staff
automatically. User can search availability of a doctor and the details of a patient using the id. It is
accessible either by an administrator or receptionist. Only they can add datainto the database. The
data can be retrieved easily. The interface is very user-friendly. Thedata are well protected for
personal use and makes the data processing very fast.
Reduced human intervention for paperwork, less, paper work, reduced staff, headcount for
jobs easily managed within the hospital management system website.

INTRODUCTION
➢ This project helps us to maintain the highest standard of care and respond.
❖ Objective:
They are designed to promote health, prevent illness, and provide curative and palliative
care to those who need it.The objective of the “ Hospital Website ” is to simply track the
knowledge of all the staff, patients, treatment provided, and prescription and also to produce
periodic reports for analysis. The main goal of the project is to make a decent management tool.
The main purpose of this project is to cut back the time taken through the manual system so as to
take care of all the records. This project is helpful to cut back the time and quality of maintaining
the records. It also helps the incorrect maintenance of patient and patient details. Hospital
website will give answers and services for the world health care business. By using these
technologies, hospital Management can be improved with economical workflow and
communication. Any time anywhere facilities of the net have helped the Medical fields to
integrate into one unit. Various Hospitals across the globe are often connected along. They can
share data and even services. Details of the Patients, their previous visits, etc. square measure
whole not perceptible while not a pc and are obtainable instantly in front of the user.
Inpatient details include patient registration. And each patient is given a novel Register No.
Once the patient is admitted he/she will be allotted to a needed ward. Mainly it includes Medical
Reports and Surgical Details. A medical detail includes Doctors Note Sheet, Treatment Sheet,
Nurses Note Sheet, etc. A surgical case includes Operational Details, Surgical Procedures, etc.
❖ Scope of the project :
1.Bills are generated by recording price for each facility provided to Patient on a separatesheet
and at last they all are summed up.
2.Information about Patients is done by just writing the Patients name, age and gender.Whenever
the Patient comes up this information is stored freshly.
3. Immunization of records of children are maintained in pre formatted sheets which are kept in a
file.
4. Diagnosis information of the patients are generally record on the document which contains
patient information.

Literature Survey
The design of the project is influenced by the paper “Functional Description of Online
Medical Management System using modern technology by Priyanka Patil, Sruthi Kunhiraman,
Rohini Temkin VES Institute Technology, Chembur, Mumbai. The paper by “"Intelligent
Hospital Management System (IHMS)," by B. Koyuncu and H. Koyuncu” is used to set the
kind of tasks to be done and handled. Z. Liu, "Design and Implementation of Hospital
Emergency Nursing Information Management System," [1] From this paper the idea about
the overall design was conceived. GB Koyuncu and H. Koyuncu, "Intelligent Hospital
Management System (IHMS),". [2] From this paper a clear idea of the components to be
included into the software solution was taken. Healthcare management system and domain
search of nearest Medical services by Ruchi Dumbre, Purva Raut, Bhagyshree mahamuni,
Priyanka Khose, Prof. Jagruti Wagh [3] From this paperthe data flow of information in the
hospitals was inferred. HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM by Digvijay H. Gadhari,
Yadnyesh P. Kadam, Prof. Parineeta [4] From this paper the idea of securing the login
was inferred. From the paper “Quality of information management and efficiency of
Hospital employees” by Spamast-Malita, Iteit [5] , Information management was
inferred. This project has been designed into two modules. A patient and a doctor module. In the
patient module a web interface was designed which allows a user to register to the hospital
website, schedule appointments, make payments and view reports online. The appointment
with doctors is automated using the ID3 algorithm (i.e. when a patient requests for a doctor
the available doctor is directly allotted by the system). There is a disease prediction
section in the patient module that predicts the disease by analyzing the symptoms they enter.

LITERATURE REVIEW
a) “A hospital resource and patient management system based on real-time data capture and
intelligent decision making” Author(s): Musa, A. Lancashire Bus. Sch., Univ. of Central
Lancashire, Preston, UK Yusuf, Y, Meckel.M. Systems and Informatics (ICSAI), 2012
International Conference One of the major challenges existing hospital management systems
face is around operational efficiency and wait times between different processes, departments
and persons. This paper highlights such limitations of existing systems and proposes a
RFID(Radio Frequency ID) and wireless sensor based , location and information management
framework that facilitates real time tracking of hospital assets, personnel and patients as they
move through pre-set procedures as part of daily activities of the hospitals. system covers the
visual simulation and providing ability to analyse the ongoing operations so they can be
corrected to achieve increased process efficiency and service levels. b) “Study on information
system of health care services management in hospital” Author(s): Daiping Hu, Antai Sch. of
Manage., Shanghai Jiaotong Univ., China Weiguo Xu ; Huizhang Shen ; Mengyu Li. Services
Systems and Services Management, 2005. Proceedings of ICSSSM '05. 2005 International
Conference This paper reviews the HIS (Hospital Information Systems) which are widely used in
many hospitals in China mainly to provide easier and faster way for daily medical tasks
/activities with a GUI And provides for overcoming some of the limitations of HIS , eg. HIS
aims at improving quality of health care services but do not have way of evaluating /measuring
those. So this paper proposes HSMS (Hospital Services Management System) which aims at
improving quality of services, identifying cost reduction areas , analyses and evaluate /rate heath
care services .University for Health Sciences, Medical Informatics and Technology, Hall in
Tyrol, Austria b Institute for Medical Informatics, Statistics and Epidemiology, University of
Leipzig, Germany, ENMI, 2005. Many enterprise projects get scrapped due to high costs
involved in initial planning requirement gathering and design phase. The costs in this phase
become unmanageable due to lot of unknown factors. Like lack of Subject area expertise, lack of
knowledge on different Hospital enterprise functions 1) Patient admission 2)Patient Treatment
planning 3)Order Entry 4)execution of diagnostic and treatment procedures 5)administrative
documentation 6)billing 7) Clinical documentation 8) discharge and 9) referral to specialised
medical institutions, lack of knowledge /experience on the entities types involved ( example:
patient, Clinical finding) , their roles and responsibilities and the relationships /associations
between different enterprise function and /or entity types. This paper aims at creating a reference
data model that will serve as a generic starting point for any new HIS development projects so
costs involved in studying and analyzing current state and coming up with gaps analysis and
additional requirements can be significantly reduced. The model is Hierarchical in nature that is
it is dived into 3 levels of sub models and units so a choice for full or partial implementation can
be offered based on the requirements. d) “Developing Effective Hospital Management
Information Systems: A Technology Ecosystem Perspective”. DATE OF SUBMISSION: 5
October 2014 PREPARED BY: Dr Christopher Bain MBBS, Master Info. Tech Student No:
10054499 The author of this paper focuses more on needs of hospital manager and the ecosystem
in which he/she operates. The internal and external Environment shaping factors ESFs that bear
an impact or association on daily hospital activities and decision making process that the hospital
manager has to go through in each situations.
B). Medical suppliers the biggest of which are pharmaceutical companies, the scientific
community, the software development community. Internal influencer authors can obviously also
be at play in terms of what services are provided by the hospital and how they are provided.
These can include: the skills and experience of staff, internal business strategies such as
competition and subsidization, Soft factors such as morale and culture, Equipment availability.
III. EXISTING SYSTEM The current manual system has a lot of paper work. To maintain the
records of sale and service manually, is a Time-consuming task. With the increase in database, it
will become a massive task to maintain the database. Requires large quantities of file cabinets,
which are huge and require quite a bit of space in the office, which can be used for storing
records of previous details. The retrieval of records of previously registered patients will be a
tedious task. Lack of security for the records, anyone disarrange the records of your system. If
someone want to check the details of the available doctors the previous system does not provide
any necessary detail of this type.
Communicating with patients: Hospitals can use their websites to communicate with
patients about their suggestions for services. They can also use feedback forms to communicate
with patients.
Providing 24/7 presence: Hospitals can provide information to patients 24/7, even when
they are not open.
❖ Resources required
To be used efficiently, all computer software needs certain hardware components or the
othersoftware resources to be present on a computer. These pre-requisites are known
as(computer)system requirements and are often used as a guideline as opposed to an absolute
rule. Mostsoftware defines two sets of system requirements: minimum and recommended. With
increasingdemand for higher processing power and resources in newer versions of
software, systemrequirements tend to increase over time. Industry analysts suggest
that this trend plays a bigger part in driving upgrades to existing computer systems than
technological advancement.
❖Hardware Requirements
The most common set of requirements defined by any operating system or software applicationis the
physical computer resources, also known as hardware. A hardware requirements list isoften
accompanied by a hardware compatibility list (HCL), especially in case of operatingsystems.
An HCL lists tested, compatibility and sometimes incompatible hardware devices for aparticular
operating system or application. The following sub-sections discuss the
❖Software Requirements
Software Requirements deal with defining software resource requirements and pre-requisites thatneed to
be installed on a computer to provide optimal functioning of an application. These requirements or
pre-requisites are generally not included in the software installation package and need to be installed
separately before the software is installed
❖ Advantages of project
A hospital website can help patients access healthcare services and information at any time.
Here are some other advantages of having a hospital website:
24/7 presence: Patients can use the website to find information and services even when they
need it, like in the middle of the night.
Improved communication: Patients can communicate with doctors and nurses online, and receive
reminders.
Customer service: Hospitals can offer quick and responsive online customer service.
Patient education: Hospitals can enhance patient education through their website.
Brand awareness: Hospitals can use their website to create and increase brand awareness.
Quick communication: A website can help hospitals communicate with patients quickly and
transparently, even in the middle of the night.
Online services: A website can provide responsive online customer service, including 24/7 online
chatbots.
Information exchange: A website can help hospitals provide relevant information, such as about
location, hours of operation, emergency services, parking, and accessibility.
Growth Opportunity:
Websites, in general, provides a great opportunity for growth in various aspects of the business. It is one
of the many advantages of the digital world. It is one of the prominent tools to flourish in real time.

CHAPTER 3
PROBLEM ANALYSIS
❖Proposed system
The Hospital website is designed for any hospital to replace their existing manualpaper based
system. The new system is to control the information of patients. Room availability, staff and
operating room schedules and patient invoices. These services are to be provided in anefficient,
cost effective manner, with the goal of reducing the time and resources currentlyrequired
for such tasks
1.Employee Details : The proposed system stores and maintains all the employees details
2. Registers: There is no need of maintaining and keeing the patient records and the daily record
of how many patients are registered per day.
3.Past Details: The new proposed system contains the details of every past doctor and patients
for future assistance.
4. Speed: The new proposed system is a very fast with 100% accuracy.
5.Work load: Reduces the work load of the data store by helping in easy updates of the product
and providing them with the necessary details together with financial transactions management.
6.Reduces redundancy: The most important benefit of this system is that it reduces the
Redundancy of data within the data.
7.Speed: The new proposed system is very fast with 100% accuracy.
8.Efficiency: The new proposed system complete the work of many salesperson in less time.
9.Calculations: The new proposed system calculates the Budget, Salary, Income tax in very less
time with accuracy.
10.Easy Statement: Month end and day end statement easily taken out without getting
headache and browsing through the day end statements.
❖Existing system
Hospital currently use a manuals system for management and maintenance of critical
information . The current system requires numerous paper forms, With data store spread through
Out the hospital management infrastructure.
Often information management standards. Forms are often lost in transit between
departments requiring acomprehensive auditing process to ensure that no vital information is
lost. Multiple copies of thesame information
❖Feasibility study
The feasibility of the project is analysed in this phase and business proposal is put forthwith a very
general plan for the project and some cost estimates. During system analysis thefeasibility study of the
proposed system is to be carried out. This is to ensure that the proposedsystem is not a burden to the
company. For feasibility analysis, some understanding of the majorrequirements for the system is
essential.
❖Economic Feasibility
This study is carried out to check the economic impact will have on the systemwill have on the
organization. The amount of fund that the company can pour intothe research and development of the
system is limited. The expenditures must be justified. Thus the developed system as well within the
budget and this was achieved because most of the technological used are freely available. Only the
customized product have to be produced.
❖Operational Feasibility
The aspect of study is to check the level of acceptance of the system by the user. This includes the
process of training the user to use the system efficiently. The user must not feel threatened by the system,
instead must accept it as a necessity. The level of acceptance by the users solely depends onthe methods
that are employed to educate the user about the system and to make him familiar with it. His level of
confidence must be raised so that he is also able to
make come constructive criticism.
❖Technical Feasibility
This study is to check the technical feasibility that is the technical requirements of the system. Any
system developed must not have a high demandon the available available technical resources. This will
lead to high demandsbeing placed on the client. The developed system must have a modest
requirement as only the null or minimal changes for the implementing the system.
CHAPTER 4
METHODOLOGY
❖ FRONTEND APPROACH
➢ First, we design the UI of file sharing website with the help of HTML, CSS,
JavaScript
o HTML
o CSS
o PHP
as sub-elements.
❖ HTML page structure: The basic structure of an HTML page is laid out
below. It contains the essential building-block elements (i.e., doctype declaration,
html, head, title, and body elements) upon which all webpages are created
❖Advantages:
❖CSS:
Cascading Style Sheets is a style sheet language used for describing the
presentation of a document written in a markup language such as HTML. with the
help of CSS, we will give design to our skeleton of file sharing website like colors,
font, size etc. Cascading Style Sheets, fondly referred to as CSS, is a simple design
language intended to simplify the process of making web pages presentable.CSS
handles the look and feel part of a web page. 15Using CSS, you can control the
color of the text, the style of fonts, the spacing between paragraphs, how columns
are sized and laid out, what background images or colors are used, layout designs,
variations in display for different devices and screen sizes as well as a variety of
other effects. CSS is easy to learn and understand but it provides
• Inline CSS
• Internal or Embedded CSS
• External CSS
PHP :
PHP is a server-side scripting language, which is used to design the dynamic web
applications with MySQL database. o It handles dynamic content, database as well as session
tracking for the website. You can create sessions in PHP. It can access cookies variable and also
set cookies. It helps to encrypt the data and apply validation. o PHP supports several protocols
such as HTTP, POP3, SNMP, LDAP, IMAP, and many more. Using PHP language, you can
control the user to access some pages of your website. As PHP is easy to install and set up, this is
the main reason why PHP is the best language to learn. PHP can handle the forms, such as -
collect the data from users using forms, save it into the database, and return useful information to
the user. For example - Registration form
❖ FEATURES OF PHP
PHP is very popular language because of its simplicity and open source. There are some
important features of PHP given below:
❖ BACKEND APPROACH
The back end is designed using MySQL which is used to design the
databasesMYSQL :MySQL is the world's second most widely used open-source
relational database management system (RDBMS). It is named after co-founder
Michael Widenius daughter, My. The SQL phrase stands for Structured Query
Language. The MySQL development project has made its source code available
under the terms of the GNU General Public License, as well as under a variety of
proprietary agreements. MySQL was owned and sponsored by a single for-profit
firm, the Swedish company MySQL AB, now owned by Oracle Corporation.
MySQL is a popular choice of database for use in web applications, and is a central
component of the widely used LAMP open source web application software stack
(and other 'AMP' stacks). LAMP is an acronym for "Linux, Apache, MySQL,
Perl/PHP/Python." Free-software-open source projects that require a fullfeatured
database management system often use MySQL. For commercial use, several paid
editions are available, and offer additional functionality. Applications which use
MySQL databases
❖ MYSQL :
• Open Source: MySQL is open-source software, which means it’s free to use and has a
large community of developers contributing to its improvement.
• Relational: MySQL follows the relational database model, allowing users to organize
data into tables with rows and columns, facilitating efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Reliability: MySQL has been around for a long time and is known for its stability and
reliability.

CHAPTER 6
BENEFITS
1.It Gives You 24/7 Presence: Sometimes, people need help or answers in
the middle of the night. Having a website means the information they need is always
available and all in one spot, no need to call. This is especially important for hospitals,
since sometimes patients need things like directions in a hurry.
3.It Gives You Credibility : Anyone can have a website claiming anything they
want to. So this may seem like a strange advantage of a medical website. However, for many
patients, if a practice or hospital lacks an online presence, it is a signal that something is
wrong. From thinking that perhaps your practice isn’t really to worrying that you are behind
the times in all areas, it can prevent people from choosing you.
Medical websites are essential. But if building and maintaining yours sounds like too much
work, Sequence Health is ready to help. We offer comprehensive solutions for digital
marketing and patient engagement. Improve your presence, your reputation, and your bottom
line by partnering with us.

❖ FUTURE SCOPES:
The scope of a hospital management system (HMS) is extensive, covering various aspects of
hospital operations. An HMS typically includes functionalities like patient registration,
appointment scheduling, electronic medical records (EMR), billing, inventory management,
pharmacy management, and laboratory management. It may also incorporate features for medical
imaging, telemedicine, reporting and analytics, and integration with external systems like
insurance providers and laboratories. The scope of an HMS is to automate and streamline
administrative and clinical processes, improve patient care coordination, enhance data security
and accuracy, optimize resource utilization, and provide valuable insights for decision-making.
The scope of an HMS can be customized based on the specific needs and requirements of the
hospital implementing it.
