Explanation: Teachers are the driving force of the education system. Hence, without educators, society
cannot produce professionals such as leaders, engineers, doctors, nurses, communicators and any other
unlisted professionals who happen to make up the society. Teachers also are the one who cultivates the
foundation of a person intellectually as well as the stance in life outside academic boundary. They aim to
contribute to the development of every child, guide and influence them to know the right path to take.
Because of them, communities are continuously developing socially and economically. Also, they are
model that ready to teach and guide the children/pupils about the importance of values and education,
helping them to grow their self and provide a quality education.
Takeaways:
In this topic, I learned that teachers are in a unique position because they are in charge of the future.
They have the power to mold and shape the values and attitudes of future generations, resulting in a
more just and equal society. They play a vital role in making learning to come alive. Teachers are crucial
in anchoring learning in the real world by giving relatable examples and devising innovative ways to
teach the curriculum. I realized that teachers are paragon of virtues they are the model of students.
Students pay attention to them, follow their instructions, and sometimes obey them more than their
parents. They have to live what they teach and be a good example to the students who are following
them. They are being looked up by people around them and the community. So they have to live in the
norms and conduct of a good teacher.
1.I think it’s their privilege to teach with the best way they can be. Of course this pandemic brought us
to a new way of learning, which is the E-learning or Online learning that can be used by technology—
wherein not all teachers are involved with. They at least handled and did a good job on giving some
knowledge and wisdoms, despite on having a difficulty in discussing and connecting with the students.
2.Regarding these issues and concerns, the government should function properly in order for every
teacher having a comfortable situation. They are the one who needs to think and act to make a better
solution.They need to support teachers’ resilience, instructionally and technologically, to ensure teacher
effectiveness. School systems must protect teacher jobs and salaries so that there is a motivated
workforce ready to get students back to speed when schools reopen. Enhancing teacher intrinsic
motivation and minimizing burnout is also important. Interventions, such as the Healthline, Work-
inspired initiative, and Education for Wellbeing, can help teachers cultivate important aspects of well-
being using simple exercises.
Teachers must be equipped to assess students once they return to school, so they can identify what key
content and skills have been lost and need rebuilding – as well as detect warning signs of dropping out.
Teachers will also need professional development support to undertake effective remedial education. As
school systems settle, the focus must return to ensure all early grade children are proficient readers, the
foundation for all subsequent learning.
Countries and school systems that have weathered COVID-19 more successfully have also ensured their
teachers have access to technology. As schools closed in our country, the government need to provide
free SIM cards to access educational material online and WhatsApp for all teachers. But it isn’t just
about providing technology; teachers must also know how to use technology effectively. In other
countries like Lebanon, the Ministry has been training teachers to record and upload documents and
hold virtual classes effectively. Not all teachers will approach technology in the same way. They will
need to be supported with diverse strategies. As school systems settle, technology should be integrated
into teaching-learning processes as well as routine needs, such as HR-systems.
Essentialist
Each group had a representative to report on the work being done. In the first group, there was
something strange that our teacher noticed. So he stopped it and explained what to do during reporting.
Our teacher shows the right things to do, including proper posture of the body, correct pronunciation of
words, it is clear and understandable, and even a connection with your listeners.
Progressivism
One of those unforgettable memories. We had an open forum where we discussed solutions to the rules
violated by some of our classmates and how to deal with our mistakes. After that, we had a strong
organization and there was unity.
Perennialism
I had a teacher who never compared us to other students. He treated us equally and as special even
though we were different from everyone else.
Existentialist
When I was in tenth grade, before the year ended, everyone was invited to attend a meeting about
choosing the right track. Wherever a great speaker would discuss, he was able to give clarity on the
topics he discussed, which gave clarity to each of us.
Behaviourist
When my teacher gave me a reward because I got a perfect score in the examination.
Constructivist
When our teacher presents a problem about logic and patterns in mathematics in the modern world,
before the class begins, he introduces the problems, values, and purpose. We will be given the
opportunity to come up with our own method of how to solve a problem. After that, each of us will
discuss whether the methods that we used have been effective.
Linguistic Philosophy
My teacher acted as a linguistic philosopher when she gave a group activity and each member was given
a task to report in front of the individual. We speak Tagalog to understand what we are saying.
Social Reconstructionist
Our teacher gave some reminders about our behavior when we had an activity outside of school.
Idealist
Every time our teacher tells a story about his experiences in life, we are inspired. Because of his stories,
he gave us hope to face all the obstacles we face. He is a good example of what we want to be.
Realist
Our teacher created a group activity where everyone would give their ideas on the topic of responsible
citizens in society. She noticed that some of my members did not give their help. As a leader, I
encouraged them to help so that we could finish the task on time.
