    Golden Fleece Carders – Yngrid Cardigan - 1

    Needle size: 3mm and 3,5mm 60cm circular needle and double pont
    needle

    Abbreviations
    PM = place marker
    SM = slip marker
    St st = stocking stitch
    P = purl stitch
    Tbl Rib = k1 tbl, p1
    K2tog= knit 2 stitches toghether
    Tbl – knit/purl through the back loop
    Yon = yarn over needle
    RS - Right side
    WS - Wrong side

    Rib Body
    The cardigan is knitted back and forth from the bottom rib and up.
    Cast on 111 (121) 131 (141) sts on needle 3mm. Knit 2,5 (3) 3,5 (4) cm
    tbl rib, but the 6 first and last sts is always knitted in garter st. After
    aprox 1cm cast off for button hole;

    RS, *k2, k2tog, yon*, repeat after aprox 3,5 (3,5) 4 (4) cm from the last
    buttonhole, always on the RS

    "Tips, to achieve a nice edge on the jacket; remove the first stitch and
    move it on to the right needle without knitting it every time you start on a
    needle”

    Body
    Change to needle 3,5 mm and knit 2 rows. Make sure your on the RS.
    Now, start working the lace struckture.

    1. RS: 6 garter st, k10, *yon, sl1, k1, psso, k8* repeat until 15 sts
    remain. K9, 6 garter st.

    2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16 row(WS) is knitted in purl sts with the exception


    of the first and last 6 sts. These are knitted in garter st.

    3. RS: 6 garter st, k9, *yon, sl1, k2tog, psso, yon, k7* repeat until 16
    sts remain. K10, 6 garter st

    5. RS: 6 garter st, K10, *yon, sl1, k1, psso, k8* repeat until 15 sts
    remain. K9, 6 garter st.

    7. knit

    9. RS: 6 garter st, k5, *yon, sl1, k1, psso, k8* repeat until 10 sts
    remain. K4, 6 garter st

    11.RS: 6 garter st, k4, *yon, sl1, k2tog, psso, yon, k7* repeat until
    11 sts remain. K5, 6 garter st

    13. RS: 6 garter st, k5, *yon, sl1, k1, psso, k8* repeat until 10 sts
    remain. K4, 6 garter st

    15. knit

    Repeat these rows throughout the work

    Knit until the entire work measures 15 (17) 19 (21) cm.

    PM for sleeves
    Now, PM for sleeves. Knit 29 (31) 34 (36) sts, PM, k 53 (59) 63 (69) sts,
    PM, k 29 (31) 34 (36) sts out the row.

    On the next row, cast off for sleeves. Knit until 2 sts remain before the
    first sleeve mark. Cast off the next 4 sts. Knit until 2 stitches remain
    before the last sleeve mark. Cast off the next 4 stitches. Knit out the
    row. You must now have 103 (113) 123 (133) sts on the needle. Set the
    work aside and knit the sleeves.

    Sleeves
    The sleeves is knitted in a round from the rib and up. Cast on 34 (36)
    38 (40) sts on needle 3mm. PM were the stitches meet around. This is
    the start of the row. Work 2,5 (3) 3,5 (4) cm tbl rib. Change to needle
    3,5mm. Knit until the sleeve measures 4 (3,5) 3,5 (4) cm. Start inc;

    K1, yon, knit until 1 st remain on the row, yon, k1. On the next row, tbl
    the yon.

    Repeat inc after 4 (3,5) 3 (3) cm from the last inc a total of 3 (4) 5 (6)
    times. You should now have 40 (44) 48 (52) sts for the sleeve. Knit until
    the entire sleeve measures 15 (17) 19 (21) cm.

    On the next row, cast off sts under the sleeve. Cast of the first 2 and
    last 2 sts on the row, a total of 4 sts.

    Main piece
    Take the body and knit until the first sleeve cast off(WS). PM, knit the
    sleeve sts onto the body, PM, knit until the next sleeve cast off. Place

    the main piece aside and knit the last sleeve. PM, knit the last sleeve
    onto the main piece, PM, and out the row.

    You should now have 175 (193) 211 (229) sts for the main piece.

    Work 4 rows, now start the raglan dec.

    Raglan
    *Knit until 3 sts remain befor the sleeve mark. K2tog tbl, k2, k2tog*.
    Repeat this at every sleeve mark. You should now have dec a total of 8
    sts.

    If the lace structure lands on the 3 sts before or after the dec sts, knit
    these sts without lace structure.

    Repeat the dec on every RS a total of 13 (15) 17 (19) times. You must
    now have 71 (73) 75 (77) sts on the needle.

    Neck
    Change to needle 3mm. Work a 2,5 (3) 3,5 (4) cm tbl, start from the
    RS. The first and last 6 sts is still knitted in garter st. Cast off.

    Assembly
    Attach threads, sew under arms, sew on buttons and steam work
