As we watched the advocacy campaign of Group 5 we came to the thought that it was all about
animal abuse, animal abuse is where humans are letting or making our critters and innocent
creatures suffer till death. They mentioned that this year we’ve discovered a lot of animal abuse
cases just like the case of the “slaughtered dog KILLUA”. Taking or adopting an animal is a big
decision that a human can make, having an animal is a full-time responsibility. You need to take
care of them, feed them, shelter them, make sure that they were safe, well-fed, and a lot more.
Adopting an animal is not a joke, this is not for fun you can’t adopt a dog just because you want
them, just because you think they’re cute if you want to have an animal think of your decision, to
be mentally, physically, and financially stable.

Animal abuse has always been part of the world’s biggest problem, we lose humanity because of
this. People are too insensitive towards animals, they always think of the thought of killing them
for food, and some kill them for materials to make garments, things, or even bags or shoes.
Luxury brands are notorious for their use of cruel animal-based fabrics like fur and exotic skins.
And while the anti-fur and vegan fashion movements have helped reduce some of the harm, there
are still a bunch of high-end brands that vegans should avoid.

Republic Act 8485 – Animal Welfare Act of 1998

The Animal Welfare Act of 1998 is the first law in the Philippines that aimed to protect the
welfare of animals by prohibiting acts of cruelty towards animals, such as maltreatment, torture,
killing, and neglect.
- For animals, having rights is everything. With rights, they would not be trapped, beaten, caged,
artificially inseminated, mutilated, drugged, traded, transported, harmed, and killed just because
someone else profits from it. By granting animals rights, the sum of suffering in the world would
reduce dramatically.
Every animal has the right to live a free, peaceful, and joyful life if we humans are suffering they
are suffering also, and they are hurt even more compared to us imagine some animals always
think of their shelter, where to get their daily food, and a lot more.

Imagine a world where every living organism has the right to be seen, to be heard, to be
respected, and to be cared for. It is never too late, if we wanted to, we would. Let us make a big
step to stop animal cruelty, by simply spreading awareness in any aspect can reduce the cases of
animal cruelty. By spreading awareness people will be informed of what animal cruelty can
affect our world. By being educated on certain problems of the world we can help to reduce
them, even though animals can’t talk, their eyes and physical appearance can show how they
feel.
