Why Diploma of Information Technology leading to Bachelor of Information Technology:

After completing my schooling, it is a time for me to choose my further subject of interest for graduation.
Nowadays in schools, computer subject is included since 3rd or 4th standard; I always loved Computer
subject during my school. Till the time of higher secondary studies, I have Computer as subject which
allowed me to get basic information of the computer languages and its operating system. Technology has
always fascinated me in so many ways, with the advent of globalization the world of technology has been
advancing in its every phase. I felt that explosive impact of computers in its very core and the increasing
need for computers in the daily life of people has made it imperative. Further today’s world is considered as
an information technology dependent world and nothing is possible without the help of that. Over the past
decade, it has changed the world as we know it. Today, it forms a fundamental part of almost all sectors, be
it industrial, educational, or any other. Information technology pertains to the study, design, and
development of computer systems and networks, which are used for obtaining, processing, and distributing
data. This field has been growing at a very fast pace over the last few years, and according to experts, this
growth is expected to remain stable. Millions of jobs have been created by IT I realized that this is the best
opportunity for me to learn and understand more about Information Technology and now with my increasing
interest and urge to explore in this field Diploma of Information Technology leading to Bachelor of
Information Technology is my first choice to study further.
I will be studying Diploma of Information Technology leading to Bachelor of Information Technology. The

Reason for not choosing India as my study destination:

As I decided to study further, I was searching for options in India. However, I found that Indian Education
instills some drawbacks, and doing further study in India can hamper my career growth in the long run. I
found that the Indian education system teaches old technologies. The Indian education system is very slow
in receiving the most recent advancements in educational programs. Even though similar courses are
available in India, education is mainly based on theoretical knowledge rather than practical knowledge. The
educational programs are not refreshed according to current market necessities. Some top-ranking Indian
Institutes offer excellent education like IITs, Birla Institute of Technology, and the National Institutes of
Technology but the demand is high among students due to few seats available. Multiple competitive exams
and interview rounds are conducted so I need to prepare for various entrance exams which would take
around another 6 - 8 months and with such cutthroat competition it would be difficult to get final admission.
Hence, after having less satisfaction with the institute education in India I began my search for an institute in
western country. Computer systems are such a subject that studying it in western countries would bring up
more ideas and exposure to global IT issues and their impact; it would open up new perspectives of looking
at things.

Reason for not choosing other countries like USA/UK/Canada as my study destination:
Once I decided to study from overseas, I started gathering information on different websites about overseas
education and attended some overseas education seminars. I compared the education systems of countries
like USA, UK, Canada, and Australia and found that Australia is best option for higher studies.
The first country that comes to my mind for studying abroad is the USA (United States of America) because
of its higher popularity in our community. But I came to know during my research that American
universities are known to have massive tuition rates against their given facilities. Rates can dramatically
vary from one university to another. Entrance test requirements are also there in the USA and also vary from
one to another institute. Entrance tests like SAT, IELTS & GRE for which I need to prepare first and will
consume a lot of time. Secondly, I found that due to a large number of international students, they are not
very sensitive to the quality of education. International Students are not entertained in some regions of the
USA. Recent news about weather conditions in the USA due Polar Vortex is also an alarming situation for
international students. At least for me, safety comes first all the time.
Another immediate option is Canada. There are very good universities in it but out of them very few
universities in the main location provide pathways to degree courses. Those few options put me in
unnecessary competition during enrolment. To avoid that situation, I have to move to an isolated location
that cannot comfort me because of its crucial cold weather condition. I came to know that it goes to -50 and
even more. It’s not easy for me to study for three years in such a climate. Living expenses are not that much
higher in those locations, but money does not matter in such an icy situation.
The United Kingdom (UK) is also an option for me to study. The UK is very expensive in terms of
education and living expenses. Universities are fantastic and their education is also good. But one has to pay
a huge amount against it. Racism is the most important point in the UK. Acceptance to each other between
black and white people is at its worst level. These are the reasons for not selecting any other country for my
future study.

Reason for choosing Australia as my study destination:

Studying in Australia offers numerous advantages that make it an attractive destination for international
students. There are several key reasons why studying in Australia is a worthwhile and rewarding experience.
First and foremost, Australia is renowned for its high-quality education system. The country is home to
several world-class universities consistently ranked among the top institutions globally. Australian degrees
are internationally recognized and highly regarded, ensuring that graduates possess the necessary skills and
knowledge to excel in their chosen fields. The emphasis on practical learning, research opportunities, and
industry collaboration enhances the employability prospects of students.
Moreover, Australia is a multicultural and inclusive society, welcoming students from all around the world.
With a diverse population and a rich multicultural heritage, international students can expect a warm and
friendly environment conducive to their personal growth and development. The opportunity to interact with
people from different cultures and backgrounds not only broadens one's horizons but also fosters cross-
cultural understanding and tolerance. Furthermore, Australia offers a wide range of opportunities for career
development and employment prospects. The Australian education system emphasizes practical skills and
real-world experience, preparing students for the global job market. Many universities have strong industry
connections, offering internships, cooperative education programs, and networking opportunities. The
country's robust economy and booming sectors such as technology, engineering, healthcare, and finance
create a favorable environment for graduates seeking employment.
Whether it is the pursuit of academic excellence, career development, or exposure to a new culture, studying

in Australia can be a transformative journey that opens doors to a world of opportunities. So, after
considering all these factors, I have decided to study Diploma of Information Technology leading to
Bachelor of Information Technology from Australia. Therefore, I believe if I choose to study in Australia, I
will have more opportunities to explore the world than studying here in India.

Studying at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) offers numerous advantages and unique
opportunities for students. With its reputation for excellence in education, strong industry connections, and

I compared the course contents, Professional Accreditations, University Rankings, student services, quality
of faculty, and fee structure of various universities in Australia. The Diploma in Information Technology
leading to Bachelor of Information Technology will enhance my advanced IT skills and a comprehensive
understanding of the global IT sector.
University Duration Total Fees (in AUD)
Australian National University (ANU) 3 Years 136,800/-

pursue The Diploma in Information Technology leading to Bachelor of Information Technology due to its
recognition, reasonable fee structure, desired academic quality and its location.

Family Ties in India:

I am a social and family-oriented person. Living with the family is my belief and trust. I share a strong
bonding and tie with my all-family members; therefore, I cannot think of a life without living with them. I
believe we can only enjoy life and any success when our family is with us. After finishing my program, I
will surely return to my home country and get settled here in India. This would give me a chance to enjoy

sound enough to assist me in bearing all expenses including my tuition fees, living, food, travelling and
other expenses during my stay in Australia for academic purpose. We live socially dignified life and we are
