Introduction:
My name is Radhe Kamleshbhai Patel. I was born in Vijapur, Mehsana, Gujarat, India. I live with my
family and I have been quite a dedicated student since my childhood. My family is being always supportive
and they have always given more importance to education.
By writing this statement of purpose, I am putting out my plans to pursue a Diploma in Information
Technology leading to a Bachelor of Information Technology from Queensland University of
Technology (QUT) in Australia. The Diploma in Information Technology will commence on July-2023,
after the successful completion of this diploma I will get admission into Bachelor of Information
Technology which will commence in Feb- 2024.
Family Background:
I am brought up in a family who understands my efforts and goals. My father’s name is Kamleshbhai Patel
and he is a self-employed man. My mother’s name is Hinaben who is also a self-employed woman. My
parents are my core strength as they have always motivated me to follow my dreams. They are well
educated which is why they know the worth of education and allows me to pursue my higher education
abroad.
Education Background:
I am an academically bright student since my school days. I completed my secondary schooling (10th grade)
from the Gujarat Secondary & Higher Secondary Education Board in 2020 with 74.66%, after that, I took a

Reason for not choosing other countries like USA/UK/Canada as my study destination:
Once I decided to study from overseas, I started gathering information on different websites about overseas
education and attended some overseas education seminars. I compared the education systems of countries
like USA, UK, Canada, and Australia and found that Australia is best option for higher studies.
The first country that comes to my mind for studying abroad is the USA (United States of America) because
of its higher popularity in our community. But I came to know during my research that American
universities are known to have massive tuition rates against their given facilities. Rates can dramatically
vary from one university to another. Entrance test requirements are also there in the USA and also vary from
one to another institute. Entrance tests like SAT, IELTS & GRE for which I need to prepare first and will
consume a lot of time. Secondly, I found that due to a large number of international students, they are not
very sensitive to the quality of education. International Students are not entertained in some regions of the
USA. Recent news about weather conditions in the USA due Polar Vortex is also an alarming situation for
international students. At least for me, safety comes first all the time.
Another immediate option is Canada. There are very good universities in it but out of them very few
universities in the main location provide pathways to degree courses. Those few options put me in
unnecessary competition during enrolment. To avoid that situation, I have to move to an isolated location
that cannot comfort me because of its crucial cold weather condition. I came to know that it goes to -50 and
even more. It’s not easy for me to study for three years in such a climate. Living expenses are not that much
higher in those locations, but money does not matter in such an icy situation.
The United Kingdom (UK) is also an option for me to study. The UK is very expensive in terms of
education and living expenses. Universities are fantastic and their education is also good. But one has to pay
a huge amount against it. Racism is the most important point in the UK. Acceptance to each other between
black and white people is at its worst level. These are the reasons for not selecting any other country for my
future study.

Financial Circumstances:
My father and paternal grandfather are my financial sponsors. My father is a self-employed and grandfather
is also self-employed. As per Income Tax Returns AY 2023-24, their total gross income is INR 1040,377
(approximate AUD 18,916). We have total net worth of AUD 340,269 in form of movable and immovable
assets. I am attaching Chartered Accountant’s net worth report for your kind perusal.
I have no problem as far as financial support to my education is concerned as my parents are financially
sound enough to assist me in bearing all expenses including my tuition fees, living, food, travelling and
other expenses during my stay in Australia for academic purpose. We live socially dignified life and we are
socially and financially firmly grounded in my home country. I am happy to have a caring family who gives
due concern to my academic career.
