Course Description:
This course is aimed at improving student’s comprehension, vocabulary, and writing skills.

Weekly Class Schedule:

Tuesday 1st period (1 period/08.00 am – 08.35 am)


Tuesday 2nd period (1 period/08.40 am – 09.15 am)
Thursday 7th period (1 period/12.30 pm – 13.05 pm)

Grading Criteria:
 Final Exam (March 2024) - 40%
 Homework - 10%
 Monthly Test 1 - 10%
 Monthly Test 2 - 10%
 Monthly Test 3 - 10%
 Group Assignment - 10%
 Attendance - 10%
Total 100%

Grading Scales:
90%-100% = A* 80%-89% = A 70%-79% = B
60%-69% = C 59%-50% = D 49%-40% = S
39% or Less = U

Course Requirements:

1) One group assignment will be given on the topic, “Famous writers and poets of the English
Literary periods ", in February. Team work and co-operation will be checked. (10%)

2) Homework completion on timely manner and note book completion (neatness, content and
accuracy with spellings) will be checked to see whether the students have completed their
work regularly. (10%)

3) If the student gets absent and late more than 5 days, 1 mark will be deducted. If it’s over 8
days, 3 marks will be deducted. 10% will be given for attendance.

4) Three monthly tests will be held in the months of November, February and March.
