Natural disasters cause immense havoc in the region, where they strike. Recently, Southern Turkey
and Northern Syria saw massive destruction, when an earth quake of 7.8 took place. Then, started
the series of aftershocks. One of them was the intensity of 7.5 on Richter scale, when caused
disruption in rescue operations. Number of factors have contributed to making this earthquake so
lethal. One of them is the time of day it occurred. With the quake hitting early in the morning, many
people were in their beds when it happened, and are now trapped under the rubble of their homes.
The international community responded very quickly to help the government of Turkey in this
moment of distress. Pakistan also send immediate aid and rescue teams to help their Turkish
brethren in distress.
