    BLOOD
    Vena Cava Deoxygenated blood It carries blood from the lower body back
    to the heart
    Aorta Oxygenated blood Is to supply blood to almost all the major
    organs in the body
    Pulmonary Artery Deoxygenated blood It carries blood to the lungs, where
    carbon dioxide is released and oxygen is
    picked up during respiration
    Pulmonary Vein Oxygenated blood They carry blood from the lungs to the
    left atrium of the heart
    Right Atrium Deoxygenated blood Receives blood from the body and sends
    it to the right ventricle
    Left Atrium Oxygenated blood It receives the blood from the pulmonary
    veins.
    Right Ventricle Deoxygenated blood The blood from right atrium is pushed to
    the right ventricle, then pushed to the
    lungs
    Left Ventricle Oxygenated blood It receives blood from the left atrium,
    then sends it to the aorta.
