SANGAM PREFAB CONCRETE PRODUCTS PVT. LTD. is one of the leading
manufacturer of precast concrete products. We also sell Fiber reinforced plastic
products and construction material like manhole cover, construction chemicals like
Admixture (HARDNER ) and Lacquer Polish. Our precast concrete products ranges
vary outdoor furniture, flooring, cable trench etc. These products find application in
road construction, commercial, and residential construction, construction of railway
platforms and beautification of parks.

We distinguish ourselves by consistently making high quality innovative products. In

fact over the years we have pioneered and introduced many new products. In-fact over
the years we have pioneered and introduced many new products into the precast
market. Some example includes our precast concrete CABLE TRENCH and frames
replaced cast in situ PCC for laying of cable at site, our interlocking PAVERS replaced
cast in situ concrete floors, our PRE-STRESSED HEAVY DUTY READY MADE
BOUNDARY WALL ASSEMBLY replaced traditional brick boundary wall, our
PRECAST RCC FURNITURE replaced cast iron and stone furniture, our PRECAST
CONCRETE PLATFORM COPING at NJP Station replaced cast in situ concrete and
there are many more such products. Also Siliguri Janction & Naxalbadi Station
recently used our Precast platform wall instead at castt in situ traditional wall.

In this business we have spent 8 years of long legacy. We started in this line of business
in the year 2008. Now we boost an employee strength of more than 200. In our all
company, we have over 7 acre of area devoted to manufacturing plant, administrative
office, quality control and research and development lab with our own stone crushing
unit to maintain the quality of raw material to be provided.

Sangam concrete products are manufactured using the latest Vibro - Compaction
techniques, accurately designed moulds, appropriate reinforcement with concrete
spacers and a concrete grade of M-30 and above.
We can also produce customized products for your special needs subject to bulk
quantities. To order customized products sizes, strength required and other necessary
information needs to be sent.

 BENEFITS OF PRECAST CONCRETE
Strength : The strength of Precast concrete gradually increase over time. Other materials can deteriorate, experience
creep and stress relaxation, lose strength and/or deflect over time. The load carrying capacity of precast concrete is
derived from its own structural qualities and does not rely on the strength or quality of the surrounding back fill materials.

Durability : Studies have shown that precast concrete products can provide a service life in excess of 100 years. For
severe service conditions, additional design options are available which can extend the life of the precast concrete
product. This is extremely important when calculating life cycle cost for a project.

Mass : Precast concrete products can act as effective barriers to vehicular traffic due to there size and weight. In the
current world climate, precast concrete products such as bollards, planters and highway barriers increasingly are being
used to provide protection for a wide variety of venues.

Chemical Resistance : Precast concrete is resistant to most substances. However no material is completely immune to
attack from aggressive chemical agents. Thus it is wise to choose the material with the longest expected service life.
Precast concrete products can be designed to withstand anticipated corrosive agent.

Quality Control : Because precast concrete products typically are produced in a controlled environment they exhibit high
quality and uniformity. Variables effecting quality typically found on a job site - temperature, humidity, material quality,
craftsmanship - are nearly eliminated in a plant environment.

Modularity : Because of the modular nature of many precast concrete products, structures of systems of nearly any size
can be accommodated.

UV sensitivity : Unlike some other materials, precast concrete does not degrade from exposure to sunlight. This is
extremely beneficial for above ground applications.

Aesthetics : Precast concrete products are both functional and decorative. They can be shaped and molded into an
endless array of sizes and configurations. Precast concrete can also be produced in virtually any colour and wide variety
of finishes (sand blasted, smooth as cast, exposed aggregates) to achieve the desired appearance for building and site
application.

Low maintenance : Precast concrete requires little or no maintenance, which make it an ideal choice for nearly any
designed solution.

Environment friendly : After water concrete is the most frequently used material on earth. It is nontoxic, environmentally
safe and composed of natural minerals. Buried throughout the world, precast concrete products help convey water
without contributing to poor water quality.

Weather resistance : Precast concrete is well suited for exposure to all types of weather conditions.

Reduced weather dependency : precast increases efficiency because weather will not delay production. In addition
weather conditions at the job site do not significantly affect the schedule. This is because it requires less time to install
precast compared with other construction methods, such as cast in place concrete. Precast concrete can be easily
installed on demand and immediately backfilled - there is no need to wait for it to cure.

Water tightness : Standard water tight sealants are specially formulated to adhere to precast concrete, making water
tight multiple-seam precast concrete structures possible.

Ease of installation : Since precast products are designed and manufactured for simple connection, many components
can be installed in a short time.

Efficiency : Precast concrete arrive at the job site ready to install. There is no need to order raw materials such as re-
inforcement steel and concrete, and there is no need to spent time setting up forms, placing concrete or waiting for the
concrete to cure.

Fire resistance : Precast concrete is non combustible. Also, concrete does not lose its structural capacity nearly as
quickly as compared to steel. Other materials beside concrete and steel are flammable and/or do not perform well in
elevated temperatures.

 SANGAM CONCRETE ADMIXTURE ( PLASTICIZERS )
Plasticizers or water reducers, and super plasticizer or high range water reducers,
are chemical admixtures that can be added to concrete mixtures to improve
workability. Unless the mix is "starved" of water, the strength of concrete is
inversely proportional to the amount of water added or water-cement (w/c) ratio. In
order to produce stronger concrete, less water is added (without "starving" the
mix), which makes the concrete mixture less workable and difficult to mix,
necessitating the use of plasticizers, water reducers, super plasticizers or
dispersants.
Adding 1-2% plasticizer per unit weight of cement is usually sufficient. Adding an
excessive amount of plasticizer will result in excessive segregation of
concrete and is not advisable. Depending on the particular chemical used, use of
too much plasticizer may result in a retarding effect .
We have two types of Plasticizer
1. SMF ( sulfonated melamine formaldehyde )
2. Polycarboxylate ether superplasticizer (PCE)

1. To achieve a higher strength by decreasing the water cement ratio at the same
workability as an admixture free mix.
2. To achieve the same workability by decreasing the cement content so as to
reduce the heat of hydration in mass concrete.
3. To increase the workability so as to ease placing in accessible locations
4. Water reduction more than 5% but less than 12%
Sulphonated melamine formaldehyde condensates (SMF)
Give 16–25%+ water reduction. SMF gives little or no retardation, which makes them
very effective at low temperatures or where early strength is most critical. However,
at higher temperatures, they lose workability relatively quickly. SMF generally give a
good finish and are colorless, giving no staining in white concrete. They are therefore
often used where appearance is important.
Polycarboxylate ether superplasticizers (PCE)
Typically give 20–35%+ water reduction. They are relatively expensive per liter but are
very powerful so a lower dose (or more dilute solution) is normally used.
In general the dosage levels are usually higher than with conventional water reducers,
and the possible undesirable side effects are reduced because they do not markedly
lower the surface tension of the water.

porch floors. This paver needs good strength, proper shape, for all its properties Hardener
(plasticizer) should be used. Our hardener (plasticizer) is best for paver block industries, it gives

your paver block, no effect on paver block color

Problems of river bank and in-stream erosion are very common in most of the rivers in India and abroad. Various attempts have been made to
overcome excessive erosion by constructing river training works. Porcupine systems are one of the novel techniques which have been adopted as

INTRODUCTION
River training is an art to protect the bank from erosion, changing th course, flood and sediment control etc.

Most of the rivers have meandering behavior and rarely does a river follow a straight path due to excessive meandering and hence erosion in

the outer bank. Some rivers tend to follow a completely new path. Various measures have been taken to control river bank and in-stream
erosion by construction river training works such as submerged vanes, bank pitching, spurs, Groynes, guide vanes etc. Due to rising cost of
these conventional river training works, developing countries like India have been adopting economic measures of river training. Permeable
structures tend to be the least expensive to construction. Bandalling, board fencing, jack-jetty systems and tetrahedral frames are some of
these cost-effective methods used for river training.

STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS
The elements used in the RCC porcupine screens / spurs are as under :
l Member : The porcupines are made of RCC, casted in-situ at the site or location near the site. Six members are used to construct one
porcupine. The size of one member is kept as 3 m X 0.1 m X 0.1 m or 2 m X 0.1 m X 0.1 m. these members are joined with the help of nails.
l Nails : Standard commercially available nails of length 100 mm to 150 mm are used to join the porcupine members.
l GI Wire : 4 to 5 strands of 4 mm GI wire should be used for inter-connectiong the porcupines and may be anchored with the ground.
Alternatively,
l Use of nylon ropes instead of GI wires may also be tried, but these are susceptible to disintegration in presence of UV rays. In view of this, UV
stabilized nylon ropes may be tried instead of GI wires due to their better usability and flexibility and non-corrosive behavior.
PRINCIPLE
The basic principle of porcupine protecting river bank is the decelerating effect of member bars which offer resistance to flow and hence cause

reduction in velocity.
The turbulence characteristics of flows passing through a porcupine and that it reduces the probability of sediment entrainment by retarding

the flow and reducing the boundary shear stress. (lu et al. (2011)). In addition, it may direction and increasing the energy dissipation.
In addition to providing riverbank protection, porcupines can also be used for protection of bridge piers against scouring.

Concrete Cable Protection Cover Tiles, also known as Cable Route Markers, are used frequently by utility companies to provide a
clear indication to site staff who may be working close to underground electrical cables.
Covers act as a protective barrier against damage to buried electricity cables eliminating the risk of accidents and costly repairs.
They can also be used to locate and identify other underground services.
