    Practical English Midterm Speaking Test Study Guide

    Testing time: 8 – 10 minutes for 2 students / 10 – 12 minutes for 3 students

    Part 1: Introductions (1 – 2 minutes).

    ● Tell me about your company’s history. ● Make conversation! (Do not interview!)

    ● How was business last year? ● Use all the test time! If you finish early, your
    ● Has your company performed well lately? score will be lower! Keep talking until I say
    ● Have your sales increased or decreased lately? “stop.”
    ● How has your company managed costs? ● No notes allowed! (It’s a speaking test!)

    Each question is a “topic” and a beginning to a conversation. Ask questions for details: Do / Does?
    Who? What? Where? When? Why? Which? How? Practice with your partner(s)!
