INTRODUCTION

1. Meaning of the internship

My name is Luu Quy Nhi , I am a senior at Dong Nai University. I am in class NNA E –
K9 and majoring in English Language. I take a pride in being a student at Dong Nai
University which is one of the educational departments located in Dong Nai Province .
Dong Nai University is not only famous for modern study programs but also have
teachers with deep knowledge in variety of majors and are always willing to help the
students to deal with many difficulties

After 4 years studying and gaining necessary knowledges, Dong Nai University gives me
opportunities to experience a real working environment during the internship period
starting on 4th of May and finishing on 17th of May

Internship period is one of the compulsory activities that typically students or recent
graduates need to participate in before graduating. It is a structured program where interns
work under the supervision of experienced professionals and contribute to various
projects, tasks, or assignments. The primary goal of an internship is to provide
participants with hands-on training, working in real-world work environments, and an
opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in reality. It also serves as a valuable
stepping stone for individuals looking to explore their career interests, build a network of
professional contacts, and enhance their resumes.

This is the process for students to apply the knowledge they have learned at school in
practice and help students realize their strengths and weaknesses, what knowledge and
skills need to be equipped to meet their goals, meet the needs of the job and make
appropriate and timely adjustments.

2. Content of the internship

Being able to be a part of NGUYEN THANH Construction and Design Limited

Company opens several doors for me to experience a professional working
environment . I was given several works, particularly tasks related to composing
contents and editing pictures for promoting the fan page of the company. Also, I
had a chance to work as a supporter for building the website of the company
As an intern, I have actively observed, learned, and tried my best in order to gather
valuable information and fulfill assigned tasks according to the given requirements.
Although I still lack experience and occasionally make mistakes, the enthusiastic
support from the company and the valuable guidance provided by the teachers in
the Department of Foreign Languages have motivated me to successfully complete
my assigned tasks. The tasks assigned and the positive outcomes achieved serve as
valuable practical experiences gained during my two-month working as an intern at
the company. The following is a summary of all that I have acquired during this
period.

NGUYEN THANH Construction and Design Limited Liability Company takes the
responsibility for constructing and designing houses. In order to meet the various needs of
the residents about accommodations, NGUYEN THANH Construction always updates
their designs to keep up with the modern and nature-friendly housing trends. They also
use environmentally friendly materials to provide customers with suitable living spaces
with affordable prices.
Furthermore, the company strives to enhance customer satisfaction by providing them
with better user experiences. Besides, Nguyen Thanh Construction consistently works on
increasing production efficiency, enhancing their service and designs quality, as well as

expanding their popularity by focusing promoting their images through social network
and develop their own website.
2. Typical product

Most of Nguyen Thanh's designs aim for modernity, combining with open spaces and
abundant greenery to create a sense of closeness to nature.
Nguyên Thành has completed the following tasks:
 Technical drawing design
 3D interior and exterior design
 Construction based on the drawings
 Supplying furniture and plants according to the drawings.

 Detailed drawings of the water supply and drainage system, and standby electrical
supply.
3. Personnel.

After operating for 15 years, the company currently employs a total of 80 individuals. The
company's personnel are categorized based on qualifications and gender.

- Qualifications
Presently, there are 10 employees in the company who hold university and college degrees,
comprising approximately 12.5% of the total workforce. These individuals primarily work
in departments such as business and accounting. The remaining 87.5% of employees have
completed high school education and are predominantly employed as workers working in
Mechanical team and construction team.
- Gender:
 Male employees make up a significant portion of the company, accounting for around
82.5% of the workforce.

• Female employees, on the other hand, represent a smaller proportion, comprising only
17.5% of the workforce.

 CEO: The CEO, or Chief Executive Officer, is the highest-ranking executive in an
organization and holds ultimate responsibility for its overall success. The role of a
CEO can vary depending on the organization's size, industry, and structure, such as
being responsible for setting the overall strategic direction of the organization or
developing and communicating the company's vision, mission, and long-term goals.
 Human Resource Department: The human resource (HR) department is responsible
for managing various aspects of an organization's workforce. Their primary role is to
ensure that the organization has the right people with the necessary skills, knowledge,
and abilities to achieve its goals effectively.
 Design Department: A design department refer to a department within a company
that specializes in home design or to an internal department within a homeowner's
association, real estate development firm, or architectural firm that focuses on
residential design
 Supplies - Accounting Department: The supplies and accounting department is
responsible for managing the financial transactions, recording financial information,
and providing accurate and timely financial reports for an organization. Besides, they
also ensure that the company has enough material to meet the demands for the
construction.
 Marketing Department: The marketing department is responsible for planning,
executing, and managing marketing activities to promote a company's products or
services, build brand awareness, and generate customer demand. The primary
objective of the marketing department is to connect with the target audience,
communicate the value proposition of the organization, and drive business growth.
 Construction Department: The construction department is responsible for overseeing
and managing the construction projects of an organization. Their main duty is to make
plans for the construction of the company, consisting of materials, workers,
equipment, and services required for the construction. Besides, they also need to
operate 2 other teams related to the department, consisting of Mechanic Team and
Construction Team

III. CONTENT

1. Job/ Duties delivered in the company.

During my two-month internship at NGUYEN THANH Construction and Design Limited


Liability Company, I was granted the opportunity to work within the Marketing Department
of the company. The instructor assigned me various tasks, which encompassed three
primary responsibilities along with additional secondary duties.

2. Performance.

2.1 Duty 1: Supporting Marketing Department

Supporting the Marketing Department is the prior mission that I do during the internship.
The task that I am mainly responsible for is composing the content for the fanpage of the
website

- The ability to use the grammar and vocabulary properly

2.1.1. Identify the goals of the post
Before launching an advertising post on Facebook, it is important to understand the purpose
behind creating content. The Marketing Department hold a meeting to exchange essential
information. The aim of this post on Facebook firstly is to create the brand recognization for
the customers increase the interaction with the fan page and the post.

2.1.2. Identify the target customer of the company


After collecting some data on Facebook , I understand that the target of the company are
customers from the age of 25 as well as being interested in renovating their living spaces
and having the incomes that belongs to the upper-middle and upper class.
I use Facebook insights to collect the data
- Facebook Insights visualizes incoming data from the business page so owners can
learn how users are behaving on your page, what content they're engaging with, and
how your page matches up to competitors.
- The platform includes information on user demographics, such as location and
relationship status as well as user behavior, including average ad clicks and
comments.
- To access Facebook Insights, people need to have a business page. Then, follow the
steps below:
+ Log into Facebook and go the feed. From the feed, click "Pages" in the left menu.
+ Go to the page.
+ Click on "Insights."
+ Users can track various metrics from there, such as engagement, view time, net
followers, audience demographics, reach, and more.

2.1.3. Choose the proper content and images use for the post
After identifying the target customers, I collect the necessary information to write the
content and images company’s completed constructions for the upcoming post
The content of the post must be grammatically correct and the images on the post need to be
clear so as to the fanpage visitors can have a total observation about the company’s products
 Steps to check the spelling and grammatical mistakes in Words :

+ From the Proofing group on the Review tab, select Spelling & Grammar.
+ Microsoft Word will look for spelling and grammar errors starting from the location
of your cursor in the document.

- If Word finds a spelling error, a navigation pane will appear


+ You then have the following options:
+ Ignore. To leave the text as is in a specific instance, but be notified if Microsoft
Word finds the same thing again, click Ignore.
+ Ignore All. To leave the text as is in this and future instances, click Ignore All.
+ Add. Adding a word to your dictionary will prevent Microsoft Word from ever
noting this word as being misspelled again.
+ Change. To correct only this instance of the misspelling, click Change.
+ Change All. To correct all instances of the misspelling throughout the document,
click Change All.

- If Word finds a grammar error, a dialog box will appear:


+ Ignore. To leave the text as is in a specific instance, but be notified if Microsoft
Word finds the same thing again, click Ignore.
+ Change. To accept Word's suggested correction, click Change.
+ At the bottom of the pane, you will see an explanation of the grammar error that
Word has detected.

2.1.4. Set the time for the post


Through the survey, I recognise that the time when Bien Hoa residents and Ho Chi
Minh City people use the phone mostly during their dinner time, so I decided to set up
schedule for weekly post at about 6 or 7 p.m so that the post can reach the maximum
interaction

2.1.5. Publish the content


After completing the content, choosing the images, I set up the appropriate time for the post
There are some steps that should be followed for scheduling future posts.

 Step 1: Write the post
After opening Facebook to the timeline, click Pages in the top left corner of the dashboard
to navigate to the business’s Facebook Page.
Then, navigate to Business Suite in the menu:

 Step 2: Preview the post


In the Placements section, select where to publish the posts.
As you draft the post, users would be able to preview what it will look like on desktop and
mobile. If anything looks off, make changes to optimize the post. This is the time to make
sure those link previews are pulling correctly.

 Step 3: Select a date and time


Click on the arrow next to the Publish button at the bottom of the page to set up the time for
the posts
Then, choose the day that the post will be publish, and the time it should go live. Finally,
click Save

 Step 4: Schedule the post


Click the blue Schedule Post button and the post is now in the publishing queue. That means
it’s ready to go live on the day and the setting time

2.2. Duty 2: Supporting the building of the website
Besides being responsible for the fanpage, I was asked to support the building and
development of the company’s website

- Using the photo-editing software skills : Adobe Photoshop

- The ability to use the grammar and vocabulary properly

2.2.1. Searching for some appropriate website sample and colors to support the
concept of the website
Before launching the website, the concept and purpose of the website have to be clearly
defined. Besides, the target audience, industry, and goals of the website need to be
considered carefully
I started to research similar websites that are similar in concept or belong to construction
industry to get the idea of what works well and help me identify design elements I would
like to incorporate or avoid. Some websites that I examined are Khonggiandep.com ,
thietkenoithatz.com, n2qstudio.com, Themeforest …….
The designs of the company lean towards simplicity and modernity, so I have chosen gray,
green, black, and white as the primary colors for the website.

2.2.2. Prepare essential information and images for the website


Before collecting information and images, it's important to have a clear understanding of the
website structure, so I had studied some knowledge about the structure of a website like the
main page or sections. This guided me in identifying the specific information and images
needed for each page.
The required content of the website is also needed to be identified to convey to the
company’s website visitors. It is essential to make a list of the essential information that
should be included on the company’s website such as: About Us section, product or service
descriptions, contact information
After preparing the content, I determined the types of images that the website need, such as
product photos, team member headshots, office or location pictures, or stock images in
order to support the content. I contact with the Construction Team to get the images and use
the google drive to save the images
Steps to use google drive
Step 1: Go to drive.google.com
On your computer, go to drive.google.com. You’ll find "My Drive," which has:
 Files and folders you upload or sync
 Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms you create
Step 2: Upload or create files

 On your computer, you can upload from drive.google.com or your desktop. You can
upload files into private or shared folders
 On your computer, go to drive.google.com.
 At the top left, click New and then File Upload or Folder Upload.
 Choose the file or folder you want to upload.

In order to highlight the important element of the company, it is important to collect other
multimedia elements like videos, audio clips, or interactive elements and ensure these
elements are high-quality, relevant, and properly optimized for web playback.

2.2.3. Confirm the information with the manager of the Marketing Department
I reach out to the manager of the Marketing Department to confirm the collected
information and images. The content and visuals are shared with the members of Marketing
Department to get the review and approval.

2.2.4. Contact with the website design freelancers


After gathering enough information for the website, the Manger asked me to contact with
the website design freelancer. I use the contact information provided by the Manager to
reach out to the design services. I wrote a brief message introducing myself before stating
the requirements of the company.

2.3. Duty 3: Supporting the construction legal department by receiving phone
calls
As a supporter for the construction legal department, I was given some tasks related to
receiving the phone calls of the customers. Therefore, there are several skills that I need to
be well on this task
Knowledge and skills required to apply on the job:
- Communication skill
- Taking notes skill
- Information gathering skill

If a customer calls to ask for information about the company’s service, I will be required to
handle the calls. Their contract information must be noted carefully.
Some steps can be used to receive a business phone call:

2.3.1. Prepare the area and material for receiving a phone call: Ensure that receiver are in a
quiet and professional environment before answering the call. Have any necessary materials,
such as a notepad and pen, ready for note-taking.

2.3.2. Identify the caller: If the caller doesn't provide their name or company information,
politely ask for it to ensure accurate record-keeping.

2.3.3. Gather information: Ask appropriate questions to understand the purpose of the call.
Collect relevant details, such as their name, contact information, reason for calling, and any
specific inquiries or issues they have.

2.3.4. Take notes: Record essential details during the call, such as the caller's name,
company, date and time of the call, and a summary of their request or concern. This
information will be helpful for future reference or follow-up.

2.3.5. Provide assistance: Based on the nature of the call, offer appropriate guidance,
support, or solutions to the caller's inquiries or issues. If needed, transfer the call to the
relevant department or person for further assistance.

2.3.6. Schedule appointments or follow-ups: If necessary, coordinate appointments or


schedule follow-up calls with the caller to address their needs.

3. Results.

After 2 months working as an intern for Nguyen Thanh Construction, I realise that there
are some tasks that I performed rather well. Nevertheless, I still have a lot of difficulties
in performing several tasks, such as :
 For duty 1 : Fanpage content creation
Creating the content for the company’s fanpage is the main task that I am
responsible for .This task was performed clearly as I have gained some knowledge
that related to marketing and content which I learnt at university and I have received
great support from the colleagues . Also, this task provide me several doors to adapt
new knowledge about architecture as well as construction and use the tools that I
learned like Photoshop CS6 in professional working environment. So, the manager
is quite satisfied with my post on company’s face book.
 For duty 2 : Supporting the building of the website
Besides completing task related to the fanpage of the website, I was required to
support for the creation of the company’s websit . I find this mission is quite easy
for me as I have understood the concept that the company want to aim through the
meeting with the manager. Moreover , there are a lot of helpful researching tools
that helps me to perform well on this task .
 For duty 3 : Supporting the construction and legal by receiving phone calls
This is the task that I feel the most difficult. Although studying about the steps and
have a careful preparation before receiving the phone call, I still had some
accidents. For instance, the information about the prices for the services are not
clear enough for customers to understand, or I asked the clients to repeat a certain
information, that can make the customers feel annoyed. Sometimes the clients speak
so fast or the line is so bad that I missed some information and received some
complaints from the manager

I. CONCLUSION
Summary.

Throughout my two-month interning at Nguyen Thanh Construction Limited Liability


Company, I actively engaged in various tasks and responsibilities. Additionally, I was
given minor tasks to support the information for the promotion of the website. However,
to ensure smooth workflow and achieve departmental objectives, I received close
supervision and guidance a lot from the company. The assigned tasks were not overly
challenging and were appropriate for the internship period, allowing me to apply the
knowledge and skills acquired both in school and through practical learning at the
company. While I successfully completed some tasks, there were others that I
encountered difficulties with.

- Tasks that I did very well include: creating content for the fan page of the company
and support the building of the company’s website
- Tasks that I did not good include: receiving the phone call

During the first week, I spent that time learning about the company consisting of the
general information, the vision as well as the style that the company is aiming and focusing
on . I also had a chance to give ideas for the new logo of the company and studied about
the target market of the company so as to give appropriate contents for the posts. In the 2nd
week, I started to collecting images about the completed constructions of the company,
sample websites, colors and then exchanged the gathered data for Mrs Hong Van, the
Manager of the Marketing Department before contacting for the web design services.
Besides, I was also had an opportunity to support the website while it was built . By the
third week and fourth week, I was responsible for posting on the fan page of the company
and reply the calls to our company by the clients

By dedicating time to observe and study across various departments, I have acquired a
wealth of specialized knowledge, gained valuable work experience from colleagues, and
developed a strong sense of responsibility when collaborating with teams. Nevertheless,

my limited practical experience and infrequent exposure to real-world scenarios have
occasionally led to misunderstandings regarding assigned tasks, resulting in an incomplete
application of the knowledge I acquired in school.

- There are some knowledge and skills that I can have applied are: Communication
skills, listening skills, office computer using skill, research skills, collecting
information skill, composing content skills, translation skill
- These are the skills that I can't apply well: telephone communication skills ,
problem - solving skills, time management skill, and skill to present the situation
1. Lessons learned.

The internship experience provides valuable lessons and insights that contribute to
personal and professional growth. Through my internship, I have learned several
important lessons that have had a significant impact on my development.
 Lessons learnt about the importance of adaptability and flexibility: During the
internship, I experiences various tasks that required me to step out of my comfort
zone and learn new skills. Adapting to different work environments, collaborating
with colleagues became essential aspects of my internship journey. This experience
has taught me be open to new challenges, and quickly adapt to different situations.

 Lessons learned about communication and teamwork. : Working with colleagues


from different backgrounds has highlighted the significance of clear and immediate
communication. I have learned the importance of active listening and asking when
needed, and expressing ideas and opinions effectively. Collaboration and
teamwork have also been crucial throughout the internship that helps me to be
success in my future career

 Lessons learned about time management and organizational skills


- Balancing multiple tasks and responsibilities have been essential lessons learned
during the internship. I have learned to plan and organize my work effectively,
allocate time appropriately, and remain focused on achieving desired outcomes.
These skills are invaluable not only in the internship setting but also in broadening

my future career.
 Lessons learnt about improving knowledges
- The internship experience has highlighted the significance of continuous learning
and professional development. I have realized that learning does not stop with
formal education but is a lifelong journey. The internship provided me with
opportunities use what I learned from university, gain experiences in real-world
scenarios, and expand my knowledge related to my major.
2. Comments to the company and school.
 Company: During my internship at Nguyen Thanh Construction Limited
Liability Company, I am interested in tasks as they provide practical experience
