1. The In-service training was started at 8:40 am and moderated by Mrs. Corazon Adrales-
Calderon which was begun with an opening prayer and Philippine National Anthem by AVP.

1. 2. The principal, Mrs. Rosanna A. Ortiz, delivered an inspiring and inspirational address
that inspired the teachers after the moderator acknowledged her presence. "Understand, listen,
and learn" was how principal Mrs. Ortiz concluded her opening remarks.

3. 3. The participants were acknowledged by Ms. Chin-Chin Salazar. Her first department
was Filipino, then she proceeded on to the English, Math, Science, TLE, MAPEH, AP/ESP, and
SHS departments. Then, the Statement of Purpose was explained by Mr. Rufino Idanan III.

4. After Ms. Crystal Oabina was being introduced, she then presented the objectives of the
training session as follows:
a. Gain in-depth knowledge and understanding on the SOLO Framework.
b. Craft questions that develop the higher order thinking skills of the students up to
relational and extended abstract levels.
c. Reflect on the art of questioning employed in classroom instruction.
5. Ms. Oabina officially begun the session through 5 items multiple choice pre-test.

6. Then, Ms. Oabina gave a brief discussion of the performance of Filipino students
nationally following the completion of the PISA, or the Programme for International Student
Assessment. Some of the teachers had questions regarding PISA during the discussion, and
Ms. Oabina, the resource speaker, provided thoughtful responses.

7. Setting the Standard was an activity that was conducted out following the break.
Teachers will answer the following question in this activity: “When to say that your student
has attained and shown higher order thinking skills in your subject?” through a presentation.
8. The Higher Order Thinking Skills were then discussed by Ms. Oabina. These skills
include problem-solving, critical, and creative thinking.

9. Following, the discussion turned to the SOLO Framework, also known as the Structure
of the Observed Learnings Outcome, and its five levels: Pre-Structural, Unistructural,
Multistructural , Relational and Extended Abstract.

10. The resource speaker led an additional exercise called Create Questions prior to the
conclusion of the morning session.

11. Mrs. Leah B. Juntado, was introduced as the resource speaker during afternoon
session.

12. Mrs. Juntado begun the session with the question, “Why is lesson planning the first
step? Then it was followed by a game by identifying the parts of the lesson plan by labelling
each as before, during.

13. The first activity, "Wish Ko lang," was guided by Mrs. Juntado after the brief pre-test.
The task analysis objectives are then presented, including how to specify terminal behavior, list
necessary subskills, and order subskills. The resource speaker proceeded to discuss how to
include HOTS into lesson planning.

14. Analyzing teacher Abi's lesson plan was the second task that Mrs. Juntado conducted
during the session.After the discussion on how to achieve the objectives of the lesson, the last
activity was conducted and it was “ Crafting DLP”.

15. The first day Inset-Training was ended at exactly 4:10 pm.
