Blade Set Bolt

Figure 22

CAUTION
The cutting blade can cut the use’s hand. Always wear gloves when holding blades.

CAUTION
Use only the OREC original parts : “ non genuine ” parts will not assure you of a correct and
safe working. It is likely to make the warranty null and void.

⚫ Check for the blade Knife Stay. Even if the Blade Knife Stay is not bend or
worn, these should be replaced at every 100 hours or every 2 years of use.
⚫ Please check Blade frequently because it is worn early when working at a 30% 1
place including dry soil or sand.
⚫ Recommend that you purchase spare Blade and spare Blade Set Bolt in
30%
advance and keep them at your hand.
⚫ When the Knife Bolt is worn on its head (1 Fig 23), it can cause serious
accident, for example the Knife is flied away by Centrifugal force. Replace 30%
the Blade Bolt immediately when the dent disappeared. Also, Replace(or 2
reverse) the Knife when it is worn up to 30% (2,Fig 23).
Figure 23

Lubrication:
Do not forget to paint grease around the parts (Fig. 24), especially when working in a sandy place.
Clean the grease nipples and lubricate the machine properly (use a grease pump). Only use NLGI
N°2 molybdenum bisulphide grease. Lubricate the tippers. Use only grease NLGI n°0.

screw the gauge (1, Fig 31). The oil must be between the
two marks on the tank. 1
Drain the oil by the plug after the first 8 hours and after
every 100 hours of use or every year whichever comes first
(Fig 28).
Use oil: SAE10W30 or APL SL class Figure 31
Oil quantity: 1.7L(RM882/RM952) or 2.1L(RM982F).

(Briggs&Stratton)
Refer to engine manual deliver with the machine.
Oil level: check by the gauge “A” (Figure 32). With the engine A
stopped since 5 minutes on a flat level surface, unscrew the
gauge A, wipe the bottom and put it back on his location.
Check the level is between upper and lower. Add engine oil if
necessary. Drain oil by the plug C.

adjusting nut (B, Fig 33) until the wire spring start to be
tightened.

- If brake belt does not stop blade in 5 second, tighten B

the wire with the adjusting nut A.

Figure 33
IMPORTANT
A bad tension belt makes slipping and worning out quickly. High tension of belt will damage the
bearings.

Brake
If brake is not worked efficiently, tighten it with the
nut (Figure 34).

Tightening of bolts :
Check that the bolts, nuts…are properly tightened.
The vibrations tend to loosen the bolts.

Adjust safety switches

Adjust the screws for pushing the safety switches
these can push switches from 3 to 5 mm.
