LETTER OF MOTIVATION
To dear selection committee,
I am Syed Abdul Wahab and recently I have been working in Habib Bank Limited as a Software Developer. I’ve completed my graduation (BS) in Computer Science from University of Karachi. I have a working experience of more than 12 years in my field as a Software Developer. The undergraduate curriculum in Computer Science at University of Karachi has both research and practically oriented modules. It introduces me to various engineering courses like, Artificial Intelligence (Robotics), Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Object Oriented Programming, Discrete Structures, Data Structures and Algorithms, Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics, Operating System, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Digital Image Processing and many other courses. These courses helped me grasp strong concepts of computer science. In between my graduation, I have attended many seminars, events, workshop, and session regarding emerging technologies in Computer Science. I’m always fascinated that how fast the field of computer science is evolving, and helping world by, improving our health care system, advancing the education system, predicting and avoiding the disasters, and evolving economical system. In the final year of my graduation, I have joined individual course of Advanced Programming and Data Science, and other technical workshops, which improves my technical skills in computer science. I’ve also work in different projects along my team to improve my soft skills, and leadership qualities. Final year project is the most proficient and competing project of all. In final year project, I’ve worked on one of the emerging technologies of computer science, which is Digital Image Processing. We’ve used drone to capture the images of cracks in concrete structures, after that the captured image are processed in software application, which is customized built by our team, to determine the depth and length of cracks. This software application built by our team, required a lot of research for the featured that we’ve included in it. In the last months of my graduation, I’ve joined Waaps Developer as a Software Developer, which is my first step towards the technical world of computer science and after 7 years, I joined Stratesfy Incorporated as Software Engineer (Java Developer). It is my Second experience to work in a professional and corporate work environment and after 5 years. This opportunity provides me exposure to work with people who are the top tier and has a lot of technical experience in Computer Science field. I’ve received an offer to work in one of the biggest bank of Pakistan as a Software Engineer (Backend Java Developer), which I accepted with gratitude.
I realized that a Master’s Degree in High Integrity Systems (M.Sc.) at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences is the best choice for me for a number of reasons. First of all, this program covers a number of topics that interest me the most, such as Advanced IT-Security and Data Mining Methods I have a strong desire to learn and use new technology. Every industry needs the idea of computer science; thus, I am really excited to enroll in a Master's program and learn about many computers science concepts. Long- term, studying in Germany would be incredibly helpful for me because the country leads the world in the research and development of advance and emerging. I am passionate about learning as well as sharing my valuable experience and knowledge to others. I always assisted and mentored my juniors during my undergraduate studies as well as at my present firm and will continue to do so. Due to my practical expertise in the field, I also possess a strong work ethic, a strong sense of credibility, and a strong feeling of responsibility.
