The satellite manufacturing sector is navigating a more competitive landscape, tasked
with addressing diverse missions through both GSO and NGSO configurations,
whether as standalone satellites or constellations. This diversification demands
manufacturers to innovate continuously to remain prominent in the industry. The current
decade has seen enhanced and more regular access to space, largely fueled by launch
providers' use of reusable launch vehicles (LVs), marking a significant industry shift.
Moreover, the exploration of new, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly launch
methods presents a fresh area of development. The session shall focus on how the
companies exploit the heightened interest in the new space industry and harmonize
with other parts of the space industry.

The expansion of the satellite ecosystem, especially with the emergence of NGSO
services, requires a robust ground system to support a variety of applications and
services. As services diversify, the ground and network infrastructure must meet these
evolving demands. The concept towards specialized in-house equipment tailored for
specific use cases could also impact current service delivery methods. The session will
discuss more about preserving the proportion between the level of technology of the
equipment, business performance, and customer experience.

layout of the country poses significant challenges for traditional terrestrial networks,
making satellite communications an essential solution for ensuring reliable connectivity
across remote maritime regions. However, the deployment of satellite services in the
maritime sector faces hurdles such as high operational costs and the need for
specialized equipment resistant to harsh marine environments. Additionally, the rapid
growth in demand for data services requires scalable and flexible satellite solutions to
accommodate the burgeoning needs of maritime operations, from navigation and safety
communications to broadband services for crew welfare. The session will discuss the
potential, challenges, and market requirements of maritime sector in Indonesia.

In today's world, where the fascination with space industries and technologies has
dwindled among young people, there's an urgent call to reignite interest in these fields
to drive innovation and exploration forward.
In this session we will explore new things related to space technologies, space business
or supported space business, and social innovation about space industries.
The APSAT Hackathon is an innovation competition centered around space-related
topics aimed at generating solutions for the betterment of communities, societies,
industries, and nations. Participants, including students, young professionals, and
startups from the Asia Pacific region, are chosen through stages like pitching,
presentation, mentoring, and final interviews.
