PAPER 1

Task 1: Answer the questions:

1.Do you know any national parks in Viet Nam?

Yes, there are several national parks in Vietnam, including:

-Ba Be National Park

- Cat Tien National Park

-Cuc Phuong National Park

- Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park

-Con Dao National Park

All of them are well-known for their diverse ecosystems, wildlife, and beautiful landscapes.

2.Have you ever been to a national park? What did you see there?

I have been visiting Cuc Phuong National Park since I was 8 years old. I’m attracted to its spectacular
landscape which includes towering limestone mountains that shelter diverse flora and fauna, including rare
langurs and vibrant bird species. The tranquil streams meander through ancient forests, creating a serene
ambiance.

Task 2: Talk about a way to protect local biodiversity.

• Why is it important?

•How will it help protect local biodiversity?

•What can you do to help?

One of the most effective ways to protect the local biodiversity is by establishing protected areas, such as
national parks or nature reserves. These areas act as sanctuaries for a diverse range of plant and animal
species, safeguarding their habitats from human encroachment, deforestation or pollution. By preserving
these ecosystems, we maintain an essential ecological balance and ensure the survival of numerous species.
Individuals can contribute to conservation efforts by supporting them, volunteering for habitat restoration
projects, and advocating sustainable practices in their communities. Together, we can make a tangible
difference in safeguarding the rich tapestry of life that thrives in our local environments.
PAPER 2

Task 1: Answer the questions:

1.Have you ever experienced peer pressure?

- I often experience peer pressure while waiting for my exam results. I feel the need to perform well and not
fall behind my peers. If I end up with a lower score, it can bring me down and make me feel depressed

2. Did it have negative or positive influence on you?

When faced with the pressure to achieve high scores, I turned to unethical practices like cheating or
plagiarizing. This negative influence resulted in a compromised sense of integrity, lowered self-esteem, and
long-term consequences such as academic penalties or loss of trust from both peers and teachers.

Task 2: Talk about a pressing social issue for teenagers.

•What is the social issue?

• What are the effects it has on teenagers?

•How can teens deal with it?

In today's digital age, cyberbullying is a serious issue that can have devastating effects on teenagers. It
involves the use of electronic communication, such as social media or messaging apps, to bully or humiliate
others. The impact of cyberbullying can be emotionally distressing, leading to low self-esteem, depression, and
even suicidal thoughts. However, there are ways to combat cyberbullying. If a teen is dealing with
cyberbullying, it's important to seek help from adults they trust, block or report the bullies, and learn how to
stay safe online. It's equally important to raise awareness about the effects of cyberbullying and treat others
kindly online.

PAPER 3

Task 1: Answer the questions:

1.Do you think you are an independent learner?

- Of course. Being an independent learner involves taking control of my education. I proactively look for
resources, set objectives, and tackle problems by myself.

2.Give an example of being independent

Being independent involves the ability to manage personal finances effectively. This includes creating a
budget, saving money, and making financial decisions independently. By keeping track of expenses, setting
financial goals, and prioritizing needs, individuals demonstrate self-reliance and responsibility in managing
their finances, which contributes to their overall financial well-being.

Task 2: Talk about the pros and cons of self-study.

Self-study has numerous benefits. Firstly, it allows for flexibility in scheduling your learning and gives you the
freedom to choose your study materials. Secondly, it helps you develop self-discipline and independence,
enabling you to explore subjects that interest you in greater depth. However, there are some disadvantages
to self-study that you should be aware of. For example, lack of structure and guidance can lead to inefficiency
or confusion. Without external feedback, it can be challenging to stay motivated and accurately assess your
progress. Additionally, self-study may not provide opportunities for collaborative learning or access to
specialized resources. To optimize the benefits of self-study while mitigating its limitations, it is essential to
balance self-directed learning with external support and resources.

PAPER 4

Task 1: Answer the questions:

1.Which education option is more popular for school leavers in Viet Nam?

In Vietnam, higher education is a popular choice for school leavers. Many prioritize further education to
improve their career prospects and acquire specialized skills that align with job market demands.

2.- Do you think going to university is the only way to succeed?

Attending university is not the only path to success. Vocational training, entrepreneurship, self-directed
learning, and practical experience in the workforce are alternative routes to achieve success. Success is
defined and attained differently by every individual based on their unique talents, interests, and goals.

Task 2: Talk about the education option that will be suitable for you after leaving school.

•What is the option?

•What are the benefits of it?

• Why is it suitable for you?

I believe that pursuing higher education at a university is the right path for me to achieve my aspirations. This
will allow me to gain in-depth knowledge in my field of interest, develop critical thinking and analytical skills,
and expand my professional network. Pursuing higher education will provide opportunities for personal
growth, career advancement, and exploring diverse academic and extracurricular interests. Ultimately, it will
prepare me to make fulfilling and impactful contributions to society.
