Merits of Introducing Digital Printing

Purpose of digitizing label printing

Recently, there has been an increasing variety of printing jobs and short-run jobs, so in
addition to normal label printing, we need to be able to handle orders for quick. In addition,
the lack of experienced operators is causing a lack of operators for analogue printing
machines.
By using the flexibility of digital printing, we can efficiently handle jobs that are difficult to
deal with using analogue printers, and operations can be handled even by operators who
are not experienced. In addition, values can be added to the print product using VDP or
numbering, which helps differentiate the user among ever-diversifying market needs.

Merits of Introducing Digital Printing High productivity

Reduction in total production time The faster print speed and shorter waiting time
In repeated short runs, such as labels for small to medium lot jobs, analogue printers need The increased printing speed of the AccurioLabel 400, which has been further boosted
to have their plates replaced and various adjustments made, which lowers productivity and from the AccurioLabel 230, increases overall productivity and contributes to business

On the other hand, a digital press can accept frequent and quick changes of print jobs,
reducing total work time and enhancing the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines. Fomer machine

Flexible production due to printing without printing plate

Flexibly handles various small lot/various kinds jobs while keeping the production cost down.
It not only does not need the printing plates vital for analogue printers, but can print with
the same quality from the first sheet to the last, which means the wasted prints that happen
when test printing from an analogue printer can be reduced.
Also, reduction of labour cost is realised by digitalisation, which contributes to reduction of
total production cost compared to analog label printing presses for middle to small lot jobs.

Greatly enhanced production efficiency

Since no printing plate is required for the digital printing, an effective workflow from
reception of print files to printing is realised. In addition, with a wider flexibility in
designing and facilitated colour control, reprint of the label that have been printed in the
past can be quickly performed. Capability of printing the necessary amount as needed
helps reduce the stock to a minimum.

Image gap reduction Uses food-safe toner

The gap between images has been reduced from 1 mm in the previous model to 0.3 mm.
This allows improved compatibility with printing data for other companies. Food-safe toner

The toner used by the AccurioLabel 400 is food-safe, and is scheduled to comply with FDA
(a third-party testing organisation) regulations.
* FDA standard is one of the strictest safety standards that controls safety of foods,
medical drugs, cosmetics, etc. that easily come in contact with the consumers.

Toner safety has been tested using the following standard.

Superior lightfastness
The toner used in the AccurioLabel 400 shows superior lightfastness. It has been tested
using the following standard.

Companies transporting dangerous goods overseas are subject to

International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) safety regulations.
The IMDG outlines minimum safety standards for shipping and
preventing ocean pollution by ships, including labeling requirements
for hazardous chemicals.

A main requirement for chemical labeling components includes the

complying with British Standard 5609 (BS5609), also known as the
Marine Immersion Label Testing Standard.

BS5609 compliance means the label has met the most stringent
tests for durability in the industry and can withstand a three-month
salt water submersion. Such rigorous standards ensure that if a
chemical drum falls off a ship, the label will remain adhered, intact
and legible after an extended period in the ocean.
