EXERCISE

Question no.1: For one week, pay close attention to the decisions you make and how
you make them. Write a description of five of those decisions using the steps in the
decision-making process as your guide. Also, describe whether you relied on external
or internal sources of information to help you make the decision and whether you think
you were more linear or nonlinear in how you processed that information. (Based your
paper content on the rubric which will be provided)

 Decision 1: Identifying the Problem or Opportunity


My Girlfriend is in a bad mood, because she had a bad day at work and at her club, she gets angry
when I got to see her that day.

 Decision 2: Gathering Information


I need to do something to make my Girlfriend happy so I find the reason why she’s in a bad
mood, like what happened and what she need right now at this very moment.

 Decision 3: Identifying the need for the Decision to be made


So, I asses what I need to do in order to make her happy, I started calmy and talk about what
happened, how it happened and why it happened. I listen carefully to what she was about to say
on that day.

 Decision 4: Develop clear decision-making criteria to develop options


After talking her through on what happened, how it happened, and why It happened. I spoke to
her calmly and ask what she wants, however she denied me on what she wants, so I made a list of
everything that I made to make her happy , and I use what I made her the happiest that can easily
done, and what she always wants.

 Decision 5: Generate viable options that can achieve goals


I took a list of what previously made her happy that changed her day so, I pick the pros and cons of
each and the difficulty to do at the current moment.
 Decision 6: Weight the options picking the best of the bunch
I choose to take her out and eat just eat, to take the problems out of her mind so we went to a nearby
fast food, talk and make her laugh just to ease her tension. I choose it as it was the easiest and most
reliable way to make her happy that day.

 Decision 7: Implement the option that you choose


I talk to her while eating and calm her by talking smoothly through her so I just keep on
talking it out even after we eat, we calmy enjoy the day by doing the things we want at that
day.
 Decision 8: Evaluate Implementation process & revise as needed

That day I realized that it was to calmy talk to her and ask everything and release all the
negative emotions within her that will calm her and remove that tension on her mind , so I
then realize what’s the most important of all that day.

Question no.2: When you feel you haven’t made a good decision, assess how you
could have made a better decision. (Based your paper content on the rubric which will be
provided)

When I feel I haven’t made a good decision in some scenario it can make everything worse or I easily
regret the decision that I make, I always look back at things and ask myself “what if “questions I
made in my mind by having a good decision I am contented with what I made and confident on the
future outcome of everything I made, I’m not anxious on everything when I make a good or better
decision and when I analyze the problem and scenario carefully , I know I will make a good decision
to make that will lead me to a better future, because every decision leads to a different outcomes
that’s why we need p roper thing and critical thinking in making decisions.

When I know I haven’t made a better decision I just need to apply the 8 steps in decision making so
that I can further improve myself as a person and making my life better by applying these 8 decisions
making steps which are:
