1.The HMI screen goes into black screen unexpectedly, it is still black when touch it, but the ticks can be
heard. what is the problem?
If the black screen appears when the HMI is in operation, it maybe the screensaver. If the black screen is screensaver,
the screen will light up when touch it. If it is still black when touch it ,restart the HMI to see if the black screen is caused
by instant fluctuations of power supply. If the HMI is still black screen after restart and the ticks can be heard described
above ,that is to say the backlights in HMI don’t work ,Please send the HMI back to Shenzhen to repair.

2 HMI display a white screen after start, there is nothing on it ,but the screen program has been downloaded in
it ,what is the problem?
When white screen happens ,first set the toggle switches(1 and 2) on the “ON” position, the HMI will display a system
configuration screen. The button on the bottom is used to tune the contract and brightness of HMI, tune the contract and
the brightness to see if the white screen changes . if it doesn’t work, please send the product back to Shenzhen
repairing department to detect and repair.

3 HMI displays the screen after starts ,but there are horizontal grains, vertical lines, or messy lines on the
screen, is the HMI out of order.
When this situation happens , please check the grain is obvious or not, if it just the crosstalk shadow around the
elements, it can be solved by tuning the contract and brightness, if it is the bright lines or colorized traceries. That is to
say there is something wrong in the HMI, please send the product back to Shenzhen repairing department to detect and
repair.

4,There are no screens on the HMI when connected to the 24v power supply and the backlight doesn’t work.
What’s the problem?
Check the power supply to see if it works first when happen to this situation, then check the fuse of HMI to see if it
fuses, if it is the fuse problem, change a new fuze(1A), then it will be ok. If the job above doesn’t work, that is to say the
product needs to send back to Shenzhen repair department to detect and repair.

5 why the fuse of HMI fuses when connected to the power supply?
(1) check the switch power supply to see if the shell connect to the GND of DC24
(2) check the GND of DC24 on HMI and GND of PLC to see if there is a voltage between them.

6 some parts of HMI screen are dark and some parts are bright, what’s wrong?
There are two types of backlight:CCFL and Led, in MT4300T/MT5320T/MT6300T/ MT4500T/MT5520T/MT6500T,we
use CCFL, and more types of HMI use LED, they are MT4300T/MT4310C/MT5320C/MT4402C/MT4403T/MT4404T
/MT4424T/MT4522T/MT4523T and so on.
There is usually single tube in small size HMI when use CCFL backlight, and double tubes for large size HMI, CCFL
needs high voltage to drive, it will becomes dark when damaged and aging. The damage of polarizer may also cause
dark.
LED backlights are connected by many strings of LED lights in parallel, that is to say if one string of LED lights are
damaged, the other strings of LED can work normally, but the part above the damaged LED lights will becomes dark.
And in a word, if this situation happens ,the product needs to be mail to Shenzhen to check.

7 Analyze the cause to HMI black screen

(1 )black screen happens when power is on
(2 )black screen happens when HMI is in operation
Described as follows:
For black screen when power is on, there are the following conditions:
A, PWR light is unlit, generally speaking, it maybe the burning of main board power, fusing of fuse or the problem of
customer’s power supply, or the wires is not correctly connected. This kind of situation can be checked out easily.

B, PWR light is lit ,CPU light is not blinking(it may be light or dark all the time). we needn’t to care the COM light. If it is
this condition, that is to say the CPU doesn’t work, there are several possibilities:1,the shortage of power voltage and
current, our HMI needs a large current to start, it is about 2 to 5 times of working current, so the power supply should
have some current margin, this situation may happens when the power supply is the 24V of PLC or there are too many
loads under the power supply. If it is this situation, changing a power supply can be confirmed, and the other possibility
is the motherboard problem. It needs to repair
C, PWR light is lit, CPU light blinks. The CPU light flashes and then becomes unlit, that is to say there is something
wrong with the inverter of CCFL backlights. If the back lights is dark all the time, it usually the damage of inverter or
LCD tubes, it needs repairing.

Black screen in operation is usually happens some time after HMI runs normally, then the screen becomes dark
suddenly, there are several situations:
(1) CPU light doesn’t blink, there is no response when touch it, and it is ok after RESET or powered it again, this
happens when the system be strongly interfered after screensaver is set , then the CPU crashed ,so the backlights
can not be lit. it can be solved by adjusting the routing of wires and strengthen anti-interference. Add the magnet
ring we provide to the power line, there will be a good performance.
(2) CPU light blinks, communication is normal, but the screen doesn’t light when touch it. There are several possibilities:
one is there is something wrong with the touching board, and it can not response the touching event, so HMI can not
recover from the save screen. It is easy to judge because it often accompanied by the touch failure when it work
normally. 2,the other is there is something wrong with LCD and inverter, the high temperature protection happens
after HMI works for a time, the backlights are unlit. Turn off the power and then turn it on, and it can work for a time
again. Generally speaking, this kind of situation is relatively rare.

8 what shall we do when MT4200T prompt “Under voltage”?

There are the following solutions to resolve the problem according to specific circumstances :
(1) Reinstall the battery under the instruction of technician;
(2) Place a bit state setting element in common window to set LB9134 OFF when the window opens
(3) Renew the system files and core

9 the data in recipe register disappears after HMI power is off, what’ s the problem?
Measure the battery voltage with multimeter, if the voltage is under 25v,that is to say you need to change a battery..

10 there is no response when touch it or it doesn’t response sensitively, what the possible matter?
(1) There are many macros in program, for example, initial macro doesn’t finish executing or goes into a endless loop
(2) Too large communication amount lower the HMI priority level
(3) Out of communication
(4) Damage to the HMI panel
(5) The connector of touch panel don’t connect to the motherboard or the connector is loose.
