A TITO
FROM THE EDITOR
What FHMers
The founder of Classic Pare® Titos and Titas of Manila have been up
makes a very good case for the success of his community: There is so much negativity on
social media it was inevitable that people would seek escape from it. Nostalgia became a way to this month
out.
It makes sense. The present is insane. The future is uncertain. Only in the past can you
find some sort of comfort. The thing about the past is that it could have actually been the
worst of times, but we have the luxury of filtering out the bad memories for the good ones, so
what is left is “a time when life was simpler and people were truly happy.” (Old Souls, p.42).
But we’re not going to be overly dramatic. We turn 18 this month and while we’ve done
a lot of remembering for this special issue, we also keep ourselves firmly grounded in the
present, as we’ve always done, and poking into the future, because that’s what it takes to stay
relevant.
In this issue: Our conversation with the Classic Pare® guy, not only about nostalgia
but about launching a successful social media community. His page has hit the two-million The BMXers ‘80s group
member mark as we write this, in only half a year since its conception. Imagine if you could strike a pose in their
that with your own little corner in Facebook. natural habitat, on the
Then we go the ‘80s pop culture route remembering BMX (Time Bandits of BMX, p.46). slopes of The Bike
We found another group of old fogeys on Facebook who, despite the addition of years and Playground
poundage, hold on to their youth by going back to a thing they loved doing then: riding BMX.
They can still do the old tricks.
For the kids who just got into their 20s but feel they should have been born earlier, we
offer some sage wisdom on how to act a different age (A Guide to Being a Tito, p.12). It
takes more than appropriating the reverse words the old guys liked to use back in the day,
like lodi—for one thing, you would have to skip a lot of all-nighters for early sleep. Boring?
Maybe. Cool? Why not?!
And finally we debut Rachel Alejandro on our cover. When she was a teen pop star in the
early ‘90s she would have reminded you of Debbie Gibson or Tiffany—that is, if you were also
a teen back then. I don’t know about you but the minute I saw her on That’s Entertainment I
knew there was something hot about her. I think Dingdong Avanzado saw it, too.
Rachel is now 43. She had just played a spinster in last year’s Ang Larawan. Really?! A
spinster? Looking like she does here? You’ve got to be kidding…

We actually have no
idea if these are real
workout poses but we’re
not complaining in the
slightest.

The last time I

“Fuck,” he whispered as he pressed his face

His hungry tongue explored my shoulders
and went all the way up to my neck. “Tell
me what you need,” Dennis whispered before
sucking on my earlobe.
“Fuck me,” I moaned. “Put your fingers in

Dennis reached for my pussy and rubbed
his fingers up and down my clit before sliding
two of them inside me. His fingers easily
slipped in and out of my wet lips, making a
soft sopping sound. I clung to his neck and
rode his fingers, he let out a growl as his

“Ughhhhh baby…” I sighed. “Yes…yes…

A Alejandro is revealing, maybe for the

first time, that she could have been
one of the biggest ST stars of the ‘90s.
“I got offered to star in a sexy
movie in the ‘90s—I’m not going to
mention the title because I think it
became a big hit and it made another
actress, the one who took the role, a
big star. It made her a very, very big star. I remember the

Gretchen Barretto, Rina Reyes, and Rita Avila—names only
the suki of Classic Pare® Titos and Titas of Manila have
fond memories of. Rachel could have created quite a stir, if
not a scandal, had she taken the risk because she was still a
teen pop star in many people’s minds and, hence, still a kid.
“[The movie] was really just an excuse to take my
clothes off. And it’s not what I was about. Not that I see
anything wrong with it, it’s just that… I mean if there’s
anything sexy in a film, I would like for there naman to be
a story or a point, kasi there are things that you wanna do
for money and there are things that you do because you
believe in it. As that point in my life I was already looking
for something that interested me,” Rachel recalls.
Not that she was a prude. Rachel remembers being one
of the first young song-and-dance solo act to wear, in her
words, risque costumes that today may look commonplace
but in the ‘90s was pure rebellion.
“No one was really wearing the costumes I wore [back
in the day]. Now, you watch ASAP and you’d see the
girls wearing, like, thigh-high patent leather boots and
all that—I was doing that in the ‘90s! I did those things
because that was what I liked, it was what I thought looked
astig at the time. It wasn’t an image, it wasn’t something
that I put on—it was what I felt [at the time], what made me
feel good singing and dancing.”

Thankfully, Philippine laws are capable

T
his isn’t the lovely Janey
B’s first appearance,
but it’s hella special:
not because of our epic
trek to our super secret

handled like a champ,
by the way) but because
it’s actually the first time
we get to see her in the
flesh. So, what’s it like to
finally meet your dream
girl from IG after years
of anticipation? Well,
it’s true what they say:
people can look different
in person. In Janey’s
case, you’ll realize that
she’s actually kind of
petite, her abs and booty

bronze complexion really

even if she’s romping

By the way, you can
be excused for thinking
this US-based model has
a foreign half lurking
within her–everyone on
set initially thought so
too. But, seeing her in
person–and watching
closely during her shoot–
the IG angles fall away
and you see that she can
pass off for one hundred
percent Pinay after all–
and she’s proud of it, of
course.
