Beginner
Crocheting in spiral, magic ring, chain, slip stitch,

single crochet stitch, increasing and decreasing.
• Complete video tutorial available

o Right-handed • ch = chain
o Left-handed • dec = invisible decrease
• I used the Yarn Under technique for this pattern (see ‘’Tips’’ section)
(see ‘’Tips’’ section). • inc = increase – crochet two single
• Work in a spiral, do not join rounds or turn your crochet stitches in the same stitch
work, unless instructed otherwise in the pattern. • mr of n sc = crochet n (number)
• Use a stitch marker or a piece of yarn to mark single crochet stitches into the magic
the beginning of a round. Move the marker up ring (see ‘’Tips’’ section)

3. Complete a single crochet

Secure the eyes between rounds 2-3, on both sides of the head. The color changes should be at the top of
the bee (we will be hiding them with the wings).
Tie some knots with the yarn tails inside of the bee.
Change to yellow yarn.

11. (1 sc, 1 dec) x6 (=12)
12. (1 sc, 1 dec) x4 (=8)
Stuff the bee. Fasten off and close the hole (see ‘’Tips’’ section). Hide the tail inside the bee.
1. mr of 7 sc (=7)
2. 7 inc (=14)
Sl st in the next stitch.
For the 1st wing, fasten off leaving a short yarn tail.
For the 2nd wing, fasten off leaving a long yarn tail for sewing.
Sew the wings together and then sew the wings to the top of the bee (over the color changes).
Hide all tails.
Embroider some cheeks (optional).
