LEVEL 5 | UNIT 3

activities. Have the student talk about their own interests and hobbies. Ask
Where can you do these free-time activities? Would you like to try any of these
other free-time activities? Which one? Prompt the student to think about which
free-time activities you can do at a festival and which type of festivals you can
do them at.
Class: Have pairs of students imagine they are planning their own beach
festival. Point to the free-time activities and ask the students to plan which
activities they would have at their festival and why. Ask Who is your festival
for? What type of festival is it? How will you tell people about your festival?
What types of activities can people try at your festival?
Challenge: Invite a strong student to talk to the class about what equipment
they might need for the festival, what clothes people might need to wear, and
the places the festival can take place.
