    ACTIVITY DESIGN

    Activity Title Community-based Training Methodology Course Training

    Beneficiaries
    Rationale Section 17, R.A. 7160 or the Local Government Code of 1991 states that
    the Local Government Unit shall endeavor to be self-reliant and shall continue
    exercising the powers and discharging the duties and functions currently vested upon
    them.

    The local government of President Roxas, on its pursuit to inclusive and


    sustainable socio-economic development has embarked numbers of
    programs and projects which include among others, human infrastructure
    that focus on health, education, job training and welfare.

    On the other hand, TESDA created by virtue of R.A. 7796 provides


    relevant, accessible, high-quality and efficient technical education and
    skills development in support of the development of high-quality Filipino
    middle-level manpower responsive to and in accordance with Philippine
    development goals and priorities

    In its pursuit to widen its reach to serve all clients as it implemented


    numerous interventions throughout the decades to capacitate the LGUs to
    conduct their own training with the technical assistance from TESDA
    Provincial Training Centers (PTC) such as, but not limited to, development
    of TVET trainers.

    The TVET trainers under the LGU are purposely developed to conduct
    training programs and other related activities according to the needs of the
    localities for economic transformation through the “TESDA sa Barangay
    Program”.
    Objectives 1. Conduct Community-based Training Methodology Course
    (CBTMC) Training among eligible employees of LGU-President
    Roxas
    2. Assess the readiness of PROTECH as an LGU-led Technical
    Vocational Institution (TVI).
