Ví dụ:
– I don’t have enough money to buy this skirt
– She is intelligent enough to solve that problem
- He didn’t ran fast enough to catch the bus
* Cấu trúc với Enough
a, Adj / Adv + enough
“Enough” được sử dụng sau tính từ và trạng từ kết hợp với nó là To V
– S + tobe + adj + enough + (for O) + to V
– S + V + adv + enough + (for O) + to V
Ví dụ:
+ The weather is beautiful enough to have a picnic
+ I am tall enough to take a book on the top of shelf
+ He drives slowly enough to make the child feel comfortable.
+She studied carefully enough to pass the exam.
+ He isn’t strong enough to lift this box
+ They were not patient enough to watch the show.
+ She isn’t tall enough to become a model
b, enough + Noun
S + V + enough + noun + to V
Ví dụ:
+ He doesn’t have enough time to fix his car
+I don’t have enough money to buy a new smartphone.
+ We bought enough oranges to make an oranges juice.

II.Cấu trúc với TOO

1. Too + Adjective -> để miêu tả một cái gì đó / ai đó quá về tính chất.
S + be + too + adj + (for O) + to V
Ví dụ:
+ Linda is too anxious about her cousin.
+ Tom is too angry to make the kids feel scared.
2. Too + Adverb -> miêu tả hành động gì đó đã vượt quá mức cần thiết.
S + V + too + adv + (for O) + to V
Ví dụ:
+That man is driving too slowly in the highway.
+ They spoke too quickly for me to understand.

3. Too much + Uncountable noun

We spent too much time on the vacation.

You’ve put too much salt in the food.
Too many + countable noun

Your writing have too many mistakes.

I bought too many toys during this month.

II.Cấu trúc |: SO…. THAT….. , SUCH………. THAT……….

1. S + be + so + adj + that + S + V

Ví dụ:
- The food was so hot that we couldn’t eat it.
- The girl is so beautiful that every one likes her.

S + một số động từ chỉ tri giác + so + adj + that + S + V

Các động từ chỉ tri giác như sau: seem, feel, taste, smell, sound, look….
- I felt so angry that I decided to cancel the trip.
- She looks so beautiful that every boy in class looks at her.

2.S + V + so + adv + that + S + V

Ví dụ:
He drove so quickly that no one could caught him up.

Cấu trúc So….that này cũng được dùng với danh từ, với many/ much/ little….

S + V + so + many/few + plural countable noun + that + S + V

Ví dụ: She has so many hats that she spends much time choosing the suitable one.

S + V + so + much/little + uncountable noun + that + S + V

Ví dụ: He drank so much milk in the morning that he felt bad.

Đối với danh từ đếm được số ít, chúng ta lại có cấu trúc sau với So… that:

S + V + so + adj + a/an + noun (đếm được số ít) + that + S + V

Ví dụ:
- It was so big a house that all of us could stay in it.
- She has so good a computer that she has used it for 6 years without any errors in it.

3.Cấu trúc: S + V + such + (a/an) + adj + noun + that + S + V

(Với danh từ không đếm được thì không dùng a/ an )

Câu trúc so…that có ý nghĩa tương tự với cấu trúc such ...that nên có thể đổi qua đổi lại giữa hai cấu trúc này .
Ví dụ:
- The girl is so beautiful that everyone likes her.
=> She is such a beautiful girl that everyone likes her.
- Homework is so difficult that it took me much time to finish it
=> This is such difficult homework that it took me much time to finish it
-The pictures are so beautiful that everybody will want one.
=>They are such beautiful pictures that everybody will want one.

Chú ý
Quy tắc cần nhớ khi dùng Enough trong bài tập nối câu
Quy tắc 1:
Nếu:
– Trước tính từ, trạng từ trong câu có các trạng từ: too, so, very, quite, extremely…
– Trước danh từ có many, much, a lot of, lots of
=> Thì phải bỏ
Ví dụ:
+ She is very tall. She can become a model
=> She is very tall enough to become a model : SAI => ĐÚNG : She is tall enough to become a model
Quy tắc 2:

Khi nối câu bằng “enough", nếu chủ ngữ ở 2 câu giống nhau thì lược bỏ “for sb”
Ví dụ:
+ Helen is intelligent. Helen can become a teacher
=> Helen is intelligent enough for her to become a teacher :SAI => ĐÚNG : Helen is intelligent enough to
become a teacher
* Tuy nhiên nếu chủ ngữ của câu sau có ý chung chung thì cũng có thể bỏ đi
Ví dụ: The weather is warm. We can live on it.
-> The weather is warm enough to live on. (we ở đây chỉ chung chung, mọi người)
Quy tắc 3:
Khi nối câu bằng “enough”, nếu chủ ngữ của câu thứ nhất trùng với tân ngữ của câu 2 (là một) thì khi ghép 2 câu
ta loại bỏ phần tân ngữ của câu sau
Ví dụ:
+ The water is quite cold. I can’t drink it.
-> The water isn’t warm enough for me to drink it. (SAI -> ĐÚNG :The water isn’t warm enough for me to
drink.
