II. FOUNDATION.

Theater is a branch of the performing arts, which consists of the representation or performance
of stories in front of the public, using speech, gestures, mime, dance, music and other elements for
these purposes. In fact, in theater you can recognize elements belonging to the other performing arts,
and it is not limited to the traditional style of narrative dialogue (for example in mime, puppets, opera
and ballet).
Theater is an indispensable tool for two aspects of our lives: communication as language and
communication as socialization.
Regarding language, it is a tool for training and reflecting on the diversity of cultural discourses.
The cultural moment we live in requires us to grasp languages, not just oral or written; It is necessary to
generate other experiences that transform the school scenario, transforming time and space, against
mechanical repetition and bureaucratic norm.
The theater workshop intends to offer a space for personal development, which enhances the
improvement of the quality of life of women, which helps them become aware of their own self-efficacy
to face life situations, through body and vocal expression. , using theater as a work methodology.
Theater contributes to the construction of socialization and communication since one of its
specific characteristics is that it consists of a convivial activity. Theatrical coexistence allows
communication to be built.
The Theater Workshop is presented as a space for group work and production, in which each of
its participants contributes, raises their doubts and builds together with the other.
