Finishing
With black cotton thread, embroider the eyebrows angled above the eyes and between rnds 8 and
11, 9 sts apart.
Belly Button
Mark the spot where you want the belly button indent to be (between rnds 38 and 39). Insert
needle threaded with blush yarn into the bottom of the body and pull it through the marked st,
insert needle into the next st above and pull it out through the same st at the bottom of body
where first inserted. Pull the strands tight, tie a knot and weave in ends securely.
Snout
Rnd 1: With blush, form a slip ring, work 7 sc in ring, pull tail to close, join. (7 sc)
Rnd 3: Ch 1, (sc in next st, sc inc in next st) 7 times, join. (21 sc)
Rnd 4: Ch 1, (sc in next 2 sts, sc inc in next st) 7 times, join. (28 sc)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff snout while sewing to the head between rnds 12
and 20. Position snout so the 14 sts of the last rnd are at the top and the sk sts are at the bottom of
head.
Rnd 1: With blush, form a slip ring, work 6 sc in ring, pull tail to close, join. (6 sc)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, (sc in next 2 sts, sc inc in next st) twice, join. (8 sc)
Rnd 3: Ch 1, (sc in next 3 sts, sc inc in next st) twice, join. (10 sc)
Rnd 4: Ch 1, (sc in next 4 sts, sc inc in next st) twice, join. (12 sc)

Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Lightly stuff each arm and sew to both sides of the
body between rnds 28 and 32.
Tail
Rnd 1: With blush, ch 9, starting in 2nd ch from hook, (3 sc in next ch) 8 times. (24 sc)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew tail to back of body between rnds 45 and 46.
Scarf
Row 1: With linen, ch 71, starting in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in each ch to end, turn. (70 hdc)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the two short sides of the scarf tog to create an
infinity scarf. Wrap the scarf around Petunia’s neck. •
