    “Let’s run in the Swiss Fun Run,”
    said slim Stan.
    “Yes,” said Scott. “The Swiss Fun Run is swell.
    But it is not just a run.
    You have to swim and skip, too.”

    We can get skills on the steps.”
    Now, let’s go run up and down the steps.
    “Let’s just run and not swim and skip.
    “ I cannot swim,” said Stan.
    The step was wet,
    and Stan slipped on the step.
    He skinned his leg.
    It got stiff, but Stan did not stop.
    He got up and ran up the steps.

    Scott said, “Let’s run up

    You cannot rest,” said Stan to Scott.

    But just then Stan sniffed.
    “What is that smell?” he asked.
    “I smell ham,” said Scott.
    “Let’s stop and have some ham.” 9

    They ran up and down the steps. 10


    They did not stop.
    “We must run to be the best.”
    “We must not stop,” said Stan.
    Scott and Stan were at the Swiss Fun Run.
    The runners sped off.
    Stan and Scott ran fast.
    But then Scott slipped on a slug.
    He slammed down,
    but he got up and ran.

    but he still ran well.
    Scott did not win,
    He ran fast and won the top spot.
    Stan ran on and did not stop.
