What we are learning

In Reading- The story this week is Did You See Chip. It is a play. The children enjoy reading the different characters parts. Our phonics study is the ar sound in words. We will review the literary element of setting. In Writing-We are still working on writing several ideas on a topic using spaces between words and a period at the end of a sentence. In Math-We a still making 10s. A fun game will come home on Monday with homework. In Social Studies-We are gearing up for the Holidays with stories and projects having to do with how we celebrate.

Help Needed! *Our class is providing Christmas gifts a local family. It is a family of four with two children, a nine year old girl and a four year old boy. A flyer has come home with some suggestions. Please contribute if you are able. *We need to borrow a fake Christmas tree, fairly small. *Please send in a clean, plastic gallon milk or water jug for a project. *For the party on Dec. 15, please send in 21 small items for each childs Christmas Stocking. Suggestions: A pair of dice, tiny play doh, a candy cane, silly bands, a pencil, a tiny box of raisins or gummies, use your imagination. Please do not spend more than $5 or so. A good place to shop for packs of things is the Dollar Tree.
