17 A linear resistance potentiometer is 50mm long and is 5 CO2 L3
uniformly wound with a wire having a resistance of 10000Ω.
Under normal conditions, the slider is at the centre of the
potentiometer.
(1) Find the linear displacements when the resistance of the
potentiometer are measured by a Wheatstone bridge for two

displacement reduces the distance between the plates
