In order to ensure the safe and correct use of this electrode, please read the contents of this user
manual carefully before use
During the wiring operation, please keep the power supply disconnected. Otherwise, it may cause
fire or electric shock. At the end of the wiring process, the power can be switched on.
If you use acid or alkaline solutions to clean or calibrate the electrodes, you must wear goggles
and gloves.

The sensor must be installed at an angle, Recommended angled mounting angles in mounting
brackets or suitable process connections: 45°, prevent the formation of air bubbles, Other
2
mounting angles and flips are not recommended because of Possible deposition resulting in
incorrect measurements.
Operation
For each electrode, it has been internally calibrated before leaving the factory, and the program is
stored inside the electrode. Generally speaking, the electrode calibration data will not be changed.
There is no need to use standard solutions for sensor electrode coefficient correction or calibration.
1. Storage of Ammonia Nitrogen Sensors : Dry Storage of Ammonia Nitrogen Sensors to Avoid
Scratching Electrode Heads。
2. The use of ammonia nitrogen sensor : ion selective electrode needs to adapt to the initial use
of water samples for a certain period of time, water samples and then hit the flow rate limit of
3m / s.
3. Ammonia nitrogen sensor cleaning and maintenance : ammonia nitrogen electrode film head
attached dirt will affect the measured value, can be washed with water, can not use chemical
cleaning agent ; the electrode membrane head can be replaced, and the service life of water
body can reach more than 1 year. When the electrode sensitivity attenuation cannot meet the
requirements, please replace the membrane head.
4. If the membrane cap is seriously polluted, clean it regardless of maintenance interval:
(1) Do not touch the film by hand.
(2) Clean with clean paper towels and water.
( 3 ) Use 1500-2000 mesh sandpaper, gently rub and wipe the hole until all residual dirt is
cleaned.
(4) It is usually enough to wipe the glasses for a few seconds.
(5) Replacement of membrane caps and electrolyte is required when measurements are unstable
and slopes beyond the calibration range and performance cannot be restored after cleaning.
(6) For solid electrode ( no electrolyte inside ), replace directly.
(7) For the liquid electrode, clean operation, then replace the electrolyte, an hour later to see
whether the measured value and slope is normal ; if not improved, change the cap.
Attention:
It is recommended to clean the cap once a month and replace the cap and electrolyte half a
year.
After replacement, at least one hour of activation in liquid, the new cap can also be moved in
advance ( more than 3 hours ) into 10 square mol/L ammonium chloride.
Otherwise:
The conditions for the use of ammonia nitrogen electrodes are also harsh. The pH value in the
wastewater is between 5.5-9, the flow rate is less than 3 m/s, and the high-salt wastewater
(conductivity above 2500us/cm is not recommended, and the electrode life is between
1500-2500us/cm. Will reduce, suitable for use in wastewater below 1500us/cm)

Each sensor has the same device ID (Register 151). The default communication setting of the
electrode is:
Address: 100
Baud Rate: 9600
Word Length: 8
Check Digit: None
Stop Bit: 2
Note:
1.The electrode has no command buffer, so the host needs to wait for the command to be executed,
and the command can only be executed after the data transmission is over.
2.After the write command is executed, the host needs to wait 600ms before receiving the return
data.
3.The data type Int(1) represents a 16-bit length word, and Float(2) represents a 32-bit
single-precision floating point number.
4.ASCII(3) Indicates that there are 6 ASCII characters, and BCD represents a decimal number
composed of every 4 digits.
