    Amendments to the Tamil Nadu Registration of Marriages Rules 2009

    [G.O. Ms. No. 331, Home (Courts), 5th June 2024,

    No. SRO A-14/2024.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 24 of the Tamil Nadu
    Registration of Marriages Act, 2009 (Tamil Nadu Act 21 of 2009), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the
    following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Registration of Marriages Rules, 2009.

    A .

    In the said Rules, in the Appendix, -

    (1) In Form I,-

    (i) in serial number 1, for the expression "HUSBAND DETAILS", the expression "HUSBAND'S DETAILS"
    shall be substituted;

    (ii) in serial number 2, for the expression "WIFE DETAILS", the expression "WIFE'S DETAILS" shall be
    substituted;

    (2) In Form VI, in the tabular column, after column (9), a new column (10) with the heading "Reasons for
    refusal of marriage (in brief)" shall be added;

    (3) In Form VII, in para 3, for the expression "The fees of Rs.", the expression "The fee of Rs." shall be substituted
