The water resistance rating provides guidelines for appropriate water‐related exposure to avoid damage to internal watch components. Please see chart
for recommended usage guidelines.
In order to ensure water does not enter the watch and cause damage to it, please follow the instructions listed below:
• Do not adjust the crown while the timepiece is in contact with water.
• Ensure the crown is in the closed position before contact with water. For timepieces with screw‐down crowns, ensure the crown is completely
tightened before contact with water.
• For timepieces with pusher‐enabled functionality, do not engage the function underwater.
• Exposure to extreme atmopheres is not recommended (i.e. hot water, saunas or steam rooms).
• Avoid exposure to water moving with force (i.e. water running from a faucet, ocean waves or waterfalls).
• Avoid long exposure to salt water. After contact with salt water, rinse watch under tap water if rated 5ATM or higher and wipe dry with a soft cloth.

SETTING YOUR WATCH WORLD TIME

On initial use, complete all steps below, in order as listed, to fully set watch. A
Once initial setup is complete, you may adjust settings individually as needed.
SMALL SECOND B
SETTING THE DATE AND TIME HAND
1. Pull the crown (B) out to the middle 2 position and rotate clockwise until the previous 1 2 3
day’s date appears. C
2. Pull the crown (B) out to the fully extended 3 position when the small second hand is at ALARM
the 12 o’clock position.
3. Rotate the crown (B) clockwise to advance the hour and minute hands past 12:00 DATE
midnight. This will advance the date to the current date.
*If the date is set between the hours of approximately 10:00 PM and 1:00 AM, the date
may not change on the following day.
4. Rotate crown (B) clockwise to set desired time.
SETTING THE ALARM

1. With the crown B pulled out to the fully extended 3 position, press the (C) push‐button
repeatedly (or hold down) to set the alarm hands to current time.
SETTING THE CITY HAND

1. With the crown (B) pulled out to the fully extended 3 position, press and hold the (A)
push‐button for 2 seconds. The city hand turns a full round.
2. Press the (C) push‐button to set city hand to the desired city for which you know the
current time. It is best to use the city in the same time zone as your home city.
SETTING THE WORLD TIME HANDS

1. With the crown (B) pulled out to the fully extended 3 position, press and hold the (A)
push‐button again for 2 seconds. The world time hour and minute hands now turn a full
round.
2. Press the (C) push‐button repeatedly (or hold down) to set the world time hour and
minute hands to indicate the time in the city you selected for the city hand.
NOTE: World time subdial operates on military time.
3. Push the crown back to its normal 1 position. The watch is now set.
4. Watch is now set and ready for use.
*To reset only the world time hands after initial setup, first complete Step A in the instructions
for SETTING THE CITY HAND. Skip Step B and go straight to instructions for SETTING THE
WORLD TIME HANDS.

SETTING THE TIME
1. Pull the crown out to the 2 position when the small second hand is at 12 o’clock. The
second hand will stop on the spot.
2. Advance the minute hand by rotating the crown. The 24‐hour hand will advance one hour

The guideline of charging time is as in below.
SETTING THE TIME

1. Pull the crown out to the second click position when the second hand is at the 12 o’clock
position.
2. Turn the crown to set the hour and minute hands.
3. Take a.m./p.m. into consideration when setting the hour and minute hands to the desired time.
4. When setting the minute hand, advance it 4 to 5 minutes ahead of the desired time and then
turn it back to the exact time.
5. Push the crown back to the normal position.
SETTING THE DATE

1. Pull the crown to the first click position.
2. Turn the crown to set the date.
3. Do not set the date between 9:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.
4. Push the crown back to the normal position.
TIPS: When the date changes during daytime, it happens when a.m./p.m. is wrongly set. Advance
the hour hand by 12 hours.
WARNINGS / NOTIFICATIONS FOR CHARGING
RECHARGE WARNING FUNCTION: Second hand moves at 2‐second intervals. The second hand
changes to a 2‐second interval movement to indicate insufficient recharging. After exposing the
watch to light, recharging takes place and the watch returns to 1‐second interval movement.
TIME SETTING NOTIFICATION: Second hand moves irregularly / 1 sec ‐ 1 sec ‐ 2 sec. The second
hand moves irregularly (1 sec ‐ 1 sec ‐ 2 sec) to indicate that the time setting was not done after the
watch stopped (due to insufficient charge). It will continue to do so until the time is set. It is
advised to set the time after each sufficient charge.
A solar cell under the dial collects light and converts it to “electrical energy.” The energy is stored in
a secondary battery, eliminating the need for battery replacement.
Expected running time from full charge to stoppage is around 6 months. When the charge has been
depleted, the movement of the second‐hand increases to two‐second intervals. Charging the watch
in light will cause the second hand to return to one‐second intervals. If the second‐hand stops
moving, Simply set the watch in daylight until it recharges and begins keeping time again.

Power depletion warning

1. The second hand moves at two ‐second intervals when the power reserve is extremely low.
Watch Charging:
1. When you start the watch or when the energy remaining in the secondary battery is very low,
charge it sufficiently by exposing the watch to light.
2. Keep the watch exposed to the light until the second hand moves at one‐second intervals.
3. Charge the watch significantly during the initial charge. It does not need to be fully charged
before use.
CAUTION: When charging the watch, do not place it too close to a fluorescent lamp or other light
sources as the watch temperature will become extremely high, causing
damage to the parts inside the watch.
Energy Depletion Prevention:

1. Avoid covering the watch face with your clothing while wearing it.
2. When the watch is not in use, leave it in a brightly lit place for as long as possible.
3. Make sure that the watch temperature does not exceed 50 .

Using the Stopwatch

Stopwatch Hand Adjustment

4. Each press of the A or B will move the chronograph hands by one increment/decrement. Press
and hold A or B for fast increment/decrement
NOTE: If the stopwatch hands function improperly, pull out the crown and press A and B at the
same time for over 2 seconds. When the pushers are released, the stopwatch second and 1/10
second hands will spin around and return to “0”. This will indicate that the internal circuit has
been reset.

Each press of the pusher will advance the corresponding hand one mark. If either pusher is held
down for over 2 seconds, the corresponding hand will advance continuously.

3. Return crown to position 1 when chronograph hands are reset to zero (12:00).

1. Pull crown out to position II (all 3 hands are in their correct or incorrect position).
2. Press pusher B to single step the minute counter hand. Press and hold pusher B to
advance the minute counter hand quickly.
3. Pull crown out to position III.
4. Press pusher A to single step the center stop‐second hand. Press and hold pusher A
to advance the center stop‐ second hand quickly.
5. Press pusher B to single step the 1/10 second hand. Press and hold pusher B to
advance the 1/10 second hand quickly.
6. Return the crown to position I.

NOTE: After 2 hours of continuous running, the chronograph will automatically stop and reset
to save the battery.
Split Time
2. Press B again to return to the chronograph.
3. Press A to finalize timing.
1. If either of the chronograph hands is not at the zero (12:00) position, pull crown out to position 2.
2. Press B to reset chronograph minute hand. Each press of B will advance the chronograph minute
hand by one increment, or press and hold B for fast advance.
3. Press A to reset chronograph 1/5 second hand. Each press of A will advance the chronograph 1/5
second hand by one increment, or press and hold A for fast advance.

following activation of pusher B. Should this not be the case, the positions of the hands

Adjusting the Chronograph Hand to Zero

1. Pull crown out to position III (all 3 hands are in their correct or incorrect position.)
2. Press pushers A and B simultaneously for at least 2 seconds. Center stop hand will
rotate 360 degrees. Corrective mode is activated.
3. To adjust the center stop‐second hand, press pusher A one time. Press and hold
pusher A until the second hand lines up with the 12 o’clock position.
4. To adjust the 1/10 second hand, press pusher B one time. Press and hold pusher A
until the 1/10 second hand lines up with the 10.
5. To adjust the minute counter hand, press pusher B one time. Press and hold pusher A until the
minute counter hand lines up with the 30 (5040.D) or the 12 (5050.B)
6. Return crown to position I.
