· In the Kingdom of fools by AK RAMANUJAN

· Once there was a kingdom in which the king and the prime minister were foolish. So by their
foolishness they decided to reverse everything.

· They decided that everyone will sleep during the day and work during night, all the price at the
shops are fixed the same,etc.

· One day a Guru abd his disciple came to the kingdom they were totally surpirsed by seeing the
reversed things in the kingdom. At sometime they felt hungry and gone to a shop and they also
discovered that all the price of the things are the same.

· Initially the guru and disciple were happy that they can buy food at just 1rupee but later the
Guru realised that this was the kingdom full of fools so their behaviour and desicions are
unpredictable and can be harmful.

· So the guru decided to leave the kingdom. But the disciple was not able to control his
Greediness about the cheap food so the disciple stayed in the kingdom and the Guru left from
there.

· Onc day a theif went to a rich merchant's house by making a hole in the wall. When the thief
was escaping away from the house after stoling several things then suddenly the wall of the old
house fallen on his head and he diead on the spot.

· The thief's brother complained about the owner of the house for his brother's death to the King.

· The king summoned the merchant in his court and told him he will be punished becuase the
thief died due to his weak wall. But the merchant countered that the wall was built in his father's
time so it is the fault of the bricklayer who actually built the wall.

· The Bricklayer was brought into the court, He defended himself by saying that when he was
building the wall his mind was disturbed by the sound of dancing girl's anklets.

· The king satisfied by the bricklayer's counter and called the dancing girl. The dancing girl
defended herself by saying that she had to walk up and down the street becaus the goldsmith
was delaying her order.

· The goldsmith was brought in the court and he defended himself by saying that he was unable to
complete the dacing girl's order in time because he had to finish the rich merchantls order.

· The rich merchant was the current merchant's father.

· So it was decided instead of his father the merchant will be punished.

· So the merchant was summoned again,

· A new stake was ordered for the execution but the merchant was too thin for the stake so the
king decided to found a person who was found to be fitted for the stake . The disciple was found
to be fit for the stake so he was brought into court for the punishment,

· The Guru was watching all these by his magical powers and he decides to save his disciple. The
Guru arrives there and explained the plan queitly in his disciples ears.

· The Guru tried to trap the king by his words. The Guru and his disciple started fighting that who
should be executed first. The king was confused by this and he asked the Guru why they are
fighting for getting executed first.

· The guru replied that this is the stake of god, whoever dies first will be the king in next birth and
person who died next would become prime minister.

· After listening to the guru the king and his minister decided that they will die in place of Guru
and his disciple becuase they did not wanted to lose his kingom in their next life.

· After the death of the king and the ministerm the people of the kingdom requested the Guru
and his disciple to become new king and the minister, The Guru agreed to that and said only
when the rules will be normalised.
