Forgot Password?
If users have forgotten their existing password and want to set a new password, clicking on the ‘Forgot Password?’
link will initiate the linked workflow.
First, the user needs to enter their registered email ID linked to their existing WCT account. They will get a 6-digit
verification code to their registered email ID for account verification. On the next screen, they will need to enter
this code. Once they are done verifying, users can set up a new password following the password guidelines
mentioned below:
The password character length should be at least 8 characters
The password should contain at least one upper case and lower case letter (A-Z, a-z)
The password should contain at least one number (0-9)
The password should contain at least one special character (#,$,*….)
Once the password guidelines are followed, the respective indicator will turn green:
Once all the password guidelines are accurately met, the user will be able to set the new password. Until then,
the 'Next' button on the bottom of the page will be un-clickable.
The below alert appears when the entered email address does not exist or is not available in the mobile app
database. The user needs to enter the correct email address to proceed further with the forgot password password
process.
5
User Registration
To use the WCT mobile app, users have to register themselves on the app as valid users. Clicking the 'New User'
button or the ‘Register’ link on the Login page allows pet parents to initiate the workflow to register themselves on
the wearables mobile app.
The registration process starts with the app requesting:
The first and the last name of the user
An email ID on which they will receive app-related updates. The same email ID shall be used as a
login ID as well as the communication ID and cannot be changed.
Secondary or Optional Email ID
A valid US/UK phone number
A valid US/UK pet owner’s address, as shown below
When a user enters incorrect address details which are validated and verified by Google API, an error alert will be
shown as above which is “invalid Address”. The user needs to enter the address using the Google API, and the mobile
app displays the results based on the inputs provided. Once the above details are entered and clicked on “Next”,
the address will be validated if the entered address is correct then a 6-digit verification code will be sent to the email
ID provided. Users need to enter the 6-digit verification code on the respective screen to validate their identity. Once
the code is verified, users are redirected to the next screen to create a password.
Following are the guidelines to be followed to create a password:
The password character length should be at least 8 characters
The password should contain at least one upper case and lower case letter (A-Z, a-z)
The password should have at least one number (0-9)
The password should have at least one special character (#,$,*….)
By default, the password being entered will be masked, and the users will not be able to view the password on the
screen. If the users want to view the password entered in the 'Password' or the 'Confirm Password' fields, they can
click on the eye icon '' available within the fields revealing the text entered.
Once the users have defined the password within the 'Password' field, they need to enter the same password in the

2.4 Pet Onboarding
For the pet parents to manage and monitor their pet using the WCT mobile app, they should first onboard their pet on the
app.
Pet onboarding could be initiated in either of the following ways:
Clicking on the 'Onboard Your Pet' button on the Dashboard
Clicking on the 'Onboard Pet' icon on the menu
Following is the information that needs to be entered/selected by the pet parent to onboard their pet:
The first and last name of the pet being onboarded
The species of the pet being onboarded – whether the pet is a cat or a dog
The gender of the pet being onboarded
Whether the pet being onboarded is spayed or neutered
The breed of the pet being onboarded. Users can search and select the breed from the dropdown.
The birthdate of the pet being onboarded. Users can select the birthday, month, and year from the date picker.
Users can also choose whether the selected date is the exact birthdate or their best guess.
The weight of the pet being onboarded – the user can enter the weight in pounds (lbs) or kilograms (kg)
Feeding Frequency of the pet like Morning, Afternoon, Evening, and Night or completely free-fed.
Pet location confirmation. If the pet and pet parent location are not the same then the pet location address needs
to be provided which in deed is the shipping address.
Choose the pet food from the food drop-down and enter the quantity of food being fed to the pet
The type of the sensor that is to be worn by the pet – AGL2, CMAS or HPN1
The device number (DN) of the sensor to be worn by the pet – the device number is listed on the back of the sensor.
The system validates whether 7 digits are entered by the user. If the user enters less than 7 digits or an incorrect
device number, the Next button will not be enabled.
8
How to know location of your pet?
Once all the above information is correctly entered, the user is redirected to the 'Review Information' screen, where users can
review all the pet-related information entered. If users want to edit any added information, they can click on the 'Back' button
available on the page and correct the respective information.
Once all the information is entered and validated, users can click on the 'Submit’ button on the review information page to complete
the pet onboarding
In case the user enters the wrong device number, the mobile app will validate and throw the error message as shown below.
9
2.5 Duplicate Pet Validation while Onboarding A Pet
On the pet onboarding flow wearables app validates if the logged-in user has an
existing pet with the same Name, Species, Gender, and Breed, and if matches, the app
will alert the user saying “Duplicate Pet”. The app will not restrict the user from the
creation of duplicate pets. On choosing Yes, the duplicate pet will be created and on
choosing No, the user can go back and edit the pet details.
10
2.6 Sensor Setup
The wearable sensors connect over Wi-Fi to transmit the pet data to the cloud, and pet parents are expected to configure the
sensor before they begin using it. The process of sensor configuration involves connecting the sensor with the WCT mobile app via
Bluetooth and saving the Wi-Fi network name and password to the sensor.
As soon as the pet is successfully onboarded, a popup displays asking if would you like to setup your pet. Pet owners can also
complete the sensor setup by clicking “Yes” on that popup.
To initiate sensor setup, the user can either click on the ‘Complete Sensor Setup’ button on the dashboard or click the ‘Sensor’ icon
on the main menu.
when pet is on boarded on the portal but the setup of the sensor is still pending, then we consider it as Awaiting Setup Sensor.
You are getting that message( the sensor is still pending )as the sensor is assigned to your pet, but you are yet to configure your Wi-
Fi network to capture the data. In order to configure the sensor, please turn on your mobile's Bluetooth, ensure you are connected
to a 2.4 GHZ Wi-Fi network and then follow the steps below: Tap the "Menu" icon on the dashboard at the left top side of the screen.
Tap "Configure Sensor”, then select device number, then Click on "Next" in the Device setup screen to navigate on to the Device
Setup instructions page. After reading the instructions tap on "Yes" to navigate to the "Device Setup" page , then “Add/Chan ge
Wi-Fi Network" and follow the on-screen prompts to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
11
. Sensor Setup for AGL2/CMAS
Following are the instructions to be adhered to before going ahead with the AGL2 or CMAS sensor setup:
The sensor should be charged for at least 30 minutes before initiating configuration
The sensor should be unplugged from the charger
The phone's Bluetooth should be switched on throughout the sensor configuration
The sensor should be sufficiently charged (It should not have a blinking red light)
The sensor should be awake while they are being configured. Please shake the sensors while the app is writing the
Wi-Fi details to the sensors
Once the above instructions are followed, the user will be redirected to the next screen, where the sensor will connect with the WCT
mobile app via Bluetooth.
Bluetooth and location services prompt: Additionally, if the user does not enable the Bluetooth and location services,
the app will prompt the user to enable them by showing alerts that contain instructions on how to do that.
The user will not be allowed to proceed with the sensor setup until the user enables these permissions on their phone.
When the connection with the sensor is established, the app will try to identify and list all the available Wi-Fi networks currently
within the range of the mobile device.
Refer this video for setting up AGL2 Sensor: https://youtube.com/shorts/im95QV8qQnA?feature=share
Refer this video for setting up CMAS Sensor: https://youtu.be/uUDnW1PGeFA
12
Stop scanning feature: During the sensor setup process, the app scans all the nearby Wi-Fi SSIDs and populates them
on the screen for the user to connect with them. However, depending on the number of nearby Wi-Fis, this process
may take anywhere between 30 seconds to 5 minutes. To minimize the user wait time, a new feature has been
incorporated that allows the pet parent to STOP the scanning of the nearby Wi-Fis the moment the app finds their
intended Wi-Fis. This feature could be triggered by tapping on the Stop Scanning button.
To establish a connection with a particular Wi-Fi network, users need to select the network and enter the password
for the same. Once the Wi-Fi credentials are entered, the user needs to click on the ‘Submit’ button, where the app
will validate the credentials and proceed ahead with the sensor setup. In case the password is incorrect, the app will
show an alert stating ‘Incorrect Password. Please check the password and try again.’
If users cannot find the Wi-Fi network of their choice populated on the screen, they can click on the ‘Refresh
Network’ button to search for all the nearby Wi-Fi networks again.
If users want to add a network manually, they can click on the ‘+ Add Network Manually’ button that will allow them
to enter the Wi-Fi network name and its password manually.
Once the correct Wi-Fi details are entered, the app will write the Wi-Fi network name and password on the sensor.
This process could take anywhere between 30 seconds to 2 minutes, and once successful, the user will be alerted.
In case there are any issues with the network setup, the app will prompt relevant messages and communicate the
actions expected from the pet parent.
13
B. Sensor Setup for HPN1
Following are the instructions to be adhered to before going ahead with the HPN1 sensor setup:
The sensor should be plugged into the charging
The phone's Bluetooth should be switched on throughout the sensor configuration
The sensor should be within proximity (< 1-meter range) of the mobile device
The sensor should have sufficient battery – green blinking LED (a red blinking LED signifies
low battery)
The sensor should not show a red, green, or blue blinking behavior (sensor setup will not be
successful if the sensor is continuously blinking red, green, or blue LED). In such a case, the
user should wait until the sensor resumes its usual green-blinking LED behavior.
Important Notes: The following are some important points that a user should be aware of while
configuring HPN1 alpha sensors:
The HPN1 alphas do not have a set standard for the number of characters the device
number (DN) should have. Thus, for them, the WCT app accepts the current validation
applicable for AGL2 devices, i.e. for 7 characters.
'HPN1 Betas’ sensor configuration is not dependent on the device number entered by
the user. The configuration will be attempted only on the HPN1 alpha devices that are in
the nearby vicinity (<1m) of the mobile device, without matching the DN at all.
We would recommend entering a number in the following format for the DN field but
keep only 'one' HPN1 device (the one you are trying to configure) in the nearby vicinity
of the mobile device and attempt the sensor configuration again.
HPN1-R03-XXXXXXXX
Once the above instructions are followed, the user will be redirected to the next screen, where the
sensor will connect with the WCT mobile app via Bluetooth. When the connection is established, the app
will try to identify and list all the available Wi-Fi networks currently within the range of the mobile device.
14
Procedure for establishing connection with Wifi
To establish a connection with a particular Wi-Fi network, users need to select the network and enter the
password for the same. Once the Wi-Fi credentials are entered, the user needs to click on the ‘Submit’
button, where the app will write the credentials and proceed ahead with the sensor setup. If users
cannot find the Wi-Fi network of their choice populated on the screen, they can click on the ‘Refresh
Network’ button to search for all the nearby Wi-Fi networks again.
If users want to add a network manually, they can click on the ‘+ Add Network Manually’ button that will
allow them to enter the Wi-Fi network name and its password manually.
15
For the HPN1 device SSID and password length is increased by 40 characters and the most important point to be noted is “HPN1
devices cannot validate whether the SSID details entered is correct or not”. So while entering the password is user has to be
careful that enter the correct details.
For the HPN1 sensor pet parents can configure a maximum of Eight SSIDs at a time.
Once the correct Wi-Fi details are entered, the app will write the Wi-Fi network name and password on the sensor. This process
could take anywhere between 30 seconds to 2 minutes, and once successful, the user will be alerted. In case there are any issues
with the network setup, the app will prompt relevant messages and communicate the actions expected from the pet parent.
16
Configure another SSID option: The HPN1s have the compatibility to configure up to 8 Wi-Fi SSIDs. To enable a pet
parent to configure additional SSIDs right after completing one configuration, a new button has been added to
the workflow reading Configure another SSID.
If the user presses this button after completing their configuration, they will be redirected to the start of the device
setup workflow, where they can configure additional SSIDs.
Configured Wi-Fi list for HPN1 sensor: Since the HPN1 sensors have more than one Wi-Fi SSIDs that could be
configured against them, an additional screen has been added that lists all the Wi-Fi SSIDs that are successfully
configured for the selected HPN1 sensor.
From this listing page, the user can manage the Wi-Fi SSIDs for their HPN1 sensor.
Refer this tutorial video link for wifi setting of HPN1 sensor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykwPApENJMw
17
Maximum Wi-Fi SSIDs reached: For the HPN1 sensors, a maximum of eight (8) Wi-Fi SSIDs could be configured
against them. If a user has reached that limit and is still trying to add another Wi-Fi SSID, the app will show an alert
reading “You have reached the maximum number of Wi-Fi configurations permitted. Would you like to edit or
delete the existing SSIDs?“. This alert will be followed by two options, namely Yes and No.
If the user selects Yes, they will be redirected to the configured Wi-Fi listing page, where they can choose the Wi-Fi
they want to Edit/Delete. However, if the user selects No, they will be redirected to the Device setup page.
18
Deleting the Wi-Fi (for HPN1): On the HPN1 Wi-Fi SSIDs listing page, each Wi-Fi SSID has a Delete option. On clicking
‘Yes’ on the below confirmation popup selected SSID will be deleted. If the sensor has only one SSID then deleted
option will not display.
When the pet attached sensor is not getting identified while the WCT Mobile App searches for it as part of the Sensor
setup workflow.
It is important to check the sensor that the user is trying to set up for their pet may not powered on or may required
to wake up the sensor.
19
2.7 Battery Charging Notification Preferences
Once the sensor setup is completed on the immediate screen user will be asked about his notification preferences and based on
his selection an email and push notification will be sent user regarding the charging of the sensor.
20
2.8 Feedback/ Automated Check-in Questionnaire
The feedback questionnaire displays when the user sets their sensor for the first time. Pet
parent is expected to answer the questions about the pet onboarding process. The feedback
questionnaire has to be configured from the Wearables portal if it is configured then the
questionnaire will not be displayed. The feedback questionnaire is different for each sensor
type.
Once the feedback is submitted user is redirected to the dashboard and responses for
the submitted questions will display at the Wearables portal > Questionnaire Response
page.
21
2.9 Dashboard

2.12 Observations
The Observations functionality allows pet parents to record behavioral observations for their pets. The feature can be invoked by
clicking the dedicated observations menu icon, available under the Main Menu of the WCT app. Clicking the Observations menu
icon will take users to the Observation list page:
As soon the user clicks on the Observation icon, takes the user to the observation page which contains the pet selection tray,
when the user selects a pet from the tray, the mobile app will display only the observations submitted for the selected pet else
none. Users can select an observation from the list to view an observation. To create a new behavioral observation for their pet,
pet parents should click on the ‘New Observation’ button at the bottom of the page. This will initiate the workflow to create a
new observation with the following elements:
Pet Selection: If the pet parent has multiple pets associated with their login, all the pets will be shown on the Pet
Selection page, and the pet parent can choose one from them.
Record Observation: This page contains a text area that allows the pet parent to write descriptive behavioral
observations for their pet.
Date: The date field will allow pet parents to select the date on which the observation happened.
The behaviors list encompasses behaviors for both cats and dogs.
The most and least common pet behaviors will be replaced with "Photos" and "Videos".
For Feline – Behavior Type (dropdown) a. Photo, b. Videos -> Display Specific Behaviors based on the Behavior
Type Selection.
For Canine – Behavior Type (dropdown) a. Photo, b. Videos -> Display Specific Behaviors Type Selection.
36
Steps to enter a new observation
To report or add any NEW observation, a registered Pet parent must log in to the Mobile App. Once logged in, the Pet
parent will gain access to the Mobile App dashboard. To record a NEW observation, the Pet parent should click on the
“Observations” available in the App Menu.
In more detail:
The existing procedure for recording and posting an Observation will remain unchanged with the following key points:
37
Method for uploading the media
Upload Media: The Upload Media feature allows pet parents to upload multiple media
files (Maximum of 7) of the following type:
o Images – JPEG and PNG formats are permitted
o Videos – The video size should be a maximum of 20 minutes
Pet parents can capture the media files or they can select from the gallery. If the
Camera is selected then pet parents have to choose an Image or video that they can
capture.
38
Image Editing: For the Uploaded images, the user can Crop, Highlight, and Annotate with
text by using the image editing feature.
The image editing window opened for the selected images under an observation one
after the other. Users can use the image editing features or they directly close the edit
window by clicking on the “Cross” mark displayed in the top-left corner.
39
Video Trimming: Users can trim the unwanted parts in the video so that video length will be
reduced time, data, and memory will be saved. Once the video is selected from the
Gallery or captured using a camera video trimming window opens as below. Users can
trim each selected video one by one by dragging the start/ end points or they can click
on the “Cancel” button to close the trimming window.
40
Observation Media Nomenclature: All the selected media files (Images and videos) are renamed in
a specific format so that the media file contains all its history. On the wearables portal downloaded
media files will also have the same file name and the file name nomenclature is:
<Pet Name> (max 15 char) _ <Study Name> (max 20 char) _ <Sensor ID> (max 20 char) _
Digital Clap: When a user records a video using the Observation > Camera > video option or from a quick
video the app will save the start and end time stamps of the video in a database table which is not
displayed in the mobile app.
Review Observation: Clicking the ‘Preview’ button takes the pet parent to the preview page to see
the observation text, behavior, date, and media files before submitting.
If there are any corrections and edits to be made, pet parents can click on the ‘Back’ button, which will
allow them to edit the observation text, behavior, date, and media files.
41
Submit Observation: Clicking on the ‘Submit’ button on the Review Observation
page will initiate the process of uploading the observation data to the backend.
Also, if data-heavy files, like videos, are being submitted with the observation, the
process will have two components:
o Video Compression: The first process is where the app compresses the
video before it is uploaded. The compression intends to reduce the
video’s size by reducing the quality a little.
o Video Upload: The second process is where the compressed video is
uploaded to the mobile backend.
Refer this video link for observation:
https://youtu.be/N0QrRk9Zn6c
42
Observation status: To ensure pet parents know the video compression and
upload status, a progress bar on the dashboard will show how much of the
process is completed (in percentage completed) as the video is being
compressed and uploaded.
43
Notes:
Show exclusively the updated behaviors list for observations received from HPN. Any revisions or additions
to the behaviors list will be communicated by the HPN team to CTE.
Older observations are based on the least common and most common behaviors defined for cats and
dogs. These older records will retain the existing behaviors and will remain visible in the mobile app.
However, pet parents do not have the option to edit these older observations as there is no "Edit" feature
available for them.
Users can view and delete these old observations but cannot make any changes to them.
When submitting new observations, pet parents can choose from the updated behaviors list for pets (both
cats and dogs), which includes options for "Photos" and "Videos."
For new observations, an "Edit" option will be provided, allowing pet parents to modify the observations
they submit.
New observations will only display the new behaviors list for pet parents to select and submit. If a pet
parent wishes to edit an older observation, they cannot do so; instead, they can delete the older
observation and submit a new one, which will include the updated pet behaviors list for cats and dogs.
The Observations flow in the Wearables Mobile App will not allow the pet parent to change the behavior
category unless switching from “Photos” to “Videos”.
Each Observation allows for the upload of up to 7 photos. There are no specific limits set for each photo's
size or the total file size of all photos combined.
Regarding videos, up to 5 videos can be uploaded per Observation. The maximum duration allowed for
each video is 20 minutes.
If a pet parent selects "Photos" as the media type for observing, they can upload only photos, not videos.
Conversely, if they want to upload videos, they must return to the media type selection page and switch
it to videos before proceeding with the upload.
If a pet parent chooses to edit an observation, they can modify the behavior type and have the option
to remove existing photos and upload new pet photos. The same process applies when the media type
"video" is selected. However, pet parents cannot change the media type in an existing observation. While
they can remove the current photos and replace them with new ones, they are not allowed to substitute
videos for photos. The media type remains fixed and cannot be altered in this manner.
Video compression on iOS devices/iPhones will pause when the WCT app runs in the background*. This
restriction is at the mobile OS level. IOS does not provide sufficient RAM to any apps in the background
while managing limited phone memory. Thus, iOS users are expected to keep the app in the foreground
and active (the phone shouldn’t get locked) while the compression is happening.
For instance, if an iOS user is creating a video observation, has selected a video to upload from
their gallery, and the app goes to the background while the compression is at 25%, it will continue
to be at 25% until the user resumes the app to the foreground.
Video uploading will work in the background* around 90% of the time. For the remaining 10%, the
upload may not work if any other memory-intensive app/process is running on the phone.
* The app will be considered in the background whenever the phone screen is locked, a call is being
attended, or the WCT app is open but not actively used.
Based on media upload successful or failed messages will display as below:
44
2.13 Questionnaire
The Questionnaire screen has sections of questions about the pets that need to be answered
by pet parents. Questionnaires are created on the Wearables clinical portal and linked to a
study. All the Questionnaires and their answers published from the portal are then available to
the respective pet parents (basis the study related to their pet) on their Wearables Mobile App.
‘Questionnaire’ is a dedicated menu available on the Wearables mobile app and accessed
from “Menu > Questionnaire.” The Questionnaire menu will be available only for those studies
for which the ‘Questionnaire’ module is assigned under their app configuration.
Refer this tutorial link for questionnaire:
https://youtube.com/shorts/qOpFuWgkDdk
45
A. List Questionnaire
Once the user clicks the Questionnaire menu, they will be redirected to the questionnaires list
page. This list page contains the list of all the Questionnaires for every pet.
By default, the questionnaires for the current pet (the pet currently selected on the Dashboard)
will be shown, and the user can change the pets from the dedicated pet selection tray
available at the top of the list page.
46
B. View/Answer Questionnaire
Once a questionnaire is clicked (on the Questionnaires List page), pet parents will be
redirected to the page where they can view/answer the clicked questionnaire.
The name of the clicked questionnaire will appear at the top of the page, followed by the
name of the pet for whom the questionnaire is being answered. The screen has a filter that
contains the following filter options:
Answered: Selecting this option shows all the questions answered by the pet parent
Unanswered: Selecting this option shows all the questions that are yet to be
answered by the pet parent
All: Selecting this is the default option and, when selected, it shows ‘All’ the
questions (both answered and unanswered)
The questionnaire will list all the sections and questions defined (in the portal), and the
following question types are supported:
47
Multiple Choice, Single Answer: The pet parent needs to click on any one option to
select. The last selected will option will remain as the final choice. A new option “Other,
please specify” displays, on choosing that option pet parent is expected to enter the
response in the text area within 500 characters.
If the Shuffle option order is selected for this question then options available should be
jumbled except Other Specify and None of the above. The selection of options should
not affect the randomization of the options.
Multiple Choice, Multi Answer: On the Wearables Mobile App, the pet parent needs to
click on the options to select. To select all options pet parents directly click on the
“Select All” option, which displays on top of the options list and changes to “Unselect
All” after clicking. If one option is unselected after clicking on “Select All” again the
button changes to “Select All”. If the user selects each option manually then the
“Select All” button remains unselected.
If the Shuffle option order is selected for this question then the options available should
be jumbled except the “Select All, None of the above, Other Specify”. The selection of
options should not affect the randomization of the options.
48
Dropdown (List): On the Wearables Mobile App, each option for this question type will
display as a list, which allows the user to select any one as an option. The last selected
will option will remain as the final choice. A new option “Other, please specify”
displays, on choosing that option pet parent is expected to enter the response in the
text area within 500 characters.
If the Shuffle option order is selected for this question then the options available
should be jumbled except the “None of the above, Other Specify”. The selection
of options should not affect the randomization of the options.
Date: On the wearables mobile app, the date picker will display in response where the
pet parent is expected to select any date up to the current date. To select the current
date pet parent needs to select the past date and again select the current date.
Referenced images: Irrespective of the question type, the Question can contain a
reference image, which can guide the user to give a suitable response. On the
Wearables mobile app, if the question has images, it should display clearly.
Each option can also contain a reference image just like the attached above. For
Multiple options, Single choice and Multichoice images can contain the images for the
options. This will not affect the randomization of the options.
49
Text Area: The user can enter the elaborated response to the question within 500
characters
Text Box: The user can enter the response in 20 characters as below.
50
Upload photo/Image: The Wearables Mobile App allows uploading a maximum of Seven images in response to this
question by capturing the images using a camera or selecting from the gallery. Users can remove the selected images
before any time submitting the questionnaire.
Image Editing: In Questionnaire, if Images are selected as a response then the pet parent has an option to annotate the
images with any text on the Image Edit screen just like observations. Once all the images are selected Image edit
screen will display for each image one by one. On the Image edit window pet parents can Crop/ Brush / Text options.
Once all changes are made image can also be saved. If the pet parent is not willing to make any changes they can
simply close the editing screen for each image.
Refer this link for image edit feature:
https://youtube.com/shorts/yQ3LRBudnSE
Upload Videos: The Wearables Mobile App allows uploading two videos with a maximum of 20 minutes as a response to
this question by capturing the videos using a camera or selecting from a gallery. Users can remove the selected videos
at any time before submitting the questionnaire.
Video Trimming: In Questionnaire selected videos can be trimmed to upload only the required part which saves
memory, time, and data. The image editing and video trimmings are just similar to observations.
51
Horizontal Slider: The slider should display horizontally referring to the minimum value and maximum value along with
descriptive text. Pet parent needs to drag on the slider to the required value and click on the “Tick” button so that the
value is selected. Based on the dragging the selected value should display to the user. Pet parents can clear the
selection by clicking on the “X” button. If the pet parent drags the slider and does not click the Tick button, the question
remains unanswered.
Vertical Slider: The slider should display vertically referring to the minimum value and maximum value along with
descriptive text.
Horizontal Continuous slider: This slider is similar to a horizontal slider but the selected value will never display to the pet
parent, updated to the backend database.
Vertical Continuous slider: This slider is similar to the vertical slider but the selected value will never display to the pet
parent, updated to the backend database.
52
Auto Submit: For any options or conditional-based questions while creating the questionnaire at the Wearables portal,
the Auto-Submit option can be chosen for the question. Auto Submit option will display for the questions whose
response type is dropdown, Multiple Select Radio button. On the Wearables mobile app, while answering the
questionnaire if the Auto-Submit option is chosen for the question, a confirmation popup will display to verify the
selected answer. If the user confirms questionnaire will be submitted, redirects to the list page and status, and Counts is
updated. If the user does not confirm then the selected answer will be reset.
To answer a question, the pet parent will tap the question, and the app will present the
respective options/answers for pet parents to choose from. The pet parent will answer one
question at a time and scroll through the page to view/answer additional questions.
At all times, the progress bar will be displayed at the top of the questions, denoting the
percentage of sections answered by the pet parent compared to the total number of
sections.
Additionally, the app will display the total number of sections, and the # of sections answered
by the pet parent in a format ‘X of Y sections’ format, where X is ‘# of sections answered,’
and Y is ‘total number of sections in that questionnaire.’
At the end of the questionnaire, there will be two buttons:
Save: Clicking this button will allow the pet parent to save the answered questions.
The app will save all the answers, and they will be available as-is when the user
visits the questionnaire. It should be noted that the saved questions are not sent to
the portal but are maintained locally in the user’s Wearables app.
53
Submit: Once the ‘Submit’ button is clicked, the system will check whether all the ‘Mandatory’ questions are
answered. If the system finds that mandatory questions are yet to be answered, an alert will be displayed reading
‘Please answer all the mandatory questions.’
Once all the mandatory questions are answered and the ‘Submit’ button is clicked again, the system will send all
the answers to the wearables clinical portal. Once submitted, pet parents can view their previously submitted
questionnaires and answers but cannot edit any responses.
If the Questionnaire contains no video-type questions then the questionnaire will be submitted directly. If contains
a video-type question the pet owner will be redirected to the dashboard until the questionnaire is submitted pet
owner will not be allowed to edit the responses.
Pet owners can see the upload percentage of questionnaire videos and observation media files also if the timer
running parallel.
54
2.14 Food Intake
Within the App Menu, pet parents can find the ‘Food Intake’ feature which allows them to
provide daily food intake details of their pets. If diets are allocated to pets based on their
participating study, pet parents can view these diet details within the Food intake page and
the recommended amount to be fed. The various sub-pages available within the Food intake
menu are as below.
The First page where the user is navigated to after clicking the Food Intake menu will
be the Intake list page. Here users will be presented with a date picker (Which
defaults to the current date) and all the food intake submitted for the selected
date. If no intakes have been submitted, a blank page will be visible if no
submissions are available.
Here the user is presented with the option to ‘Add a New Intake’ for the selected
date or edit an existing Intake. A history page is available where pet parents can
view insights into their pet’s food intake for 7 days.
55
a. Add New Intake
Pet Parents can click on this button to submit a new food intake record with details of the food consumed
by the pet for the day.
The first section of the page displays the details of the diet (If applicable for the pet) that is to be fed as
part of the study. Here pet parents can view the name of the diet and the recommended quantity to be
offered to the pet for the day. Users will have the option to furnish the offered amount to the pet (Which is
expected to be the equivalent of the recommended amount) and the actual amount consumed by the
pet.
NOTE: The recommended amount displayed is for the day. If a pet parent is offering the diet via
multiple feedings within a day, the expectation is to divide the recommended amount
accordingly and enter the food intake records with the amounts offered and consumed in each
session.
If the pet has consumed any other food apart from the recommended diet, pet parents can select ‘Yes’
to the question and a second section will appear asking users to furnish more details about these other
foods. Pet parents can choose from one or more pre-defined food categories, where the other food name
and the consumed % are to be entered. The available food categories are:
Wet Food
Dry Food
Purchased Food
Human Food
Treats
Others (Please specify)
As the pet parent enters the details of the food consumed by the pet (Both recommended and other
food), an intake % will be calculated and displayed beside each entry, letting users know how much %
that food constitutes in the complete day’s consumption.
At the end of the Add New Intake page, pet parents can find 2 drop downs to provide any feedback
regarding their or their pet’s experience towards the recommended diet. Once pet parents have verified
the entries, the intake can be submitted, which will be reflected on the Intake list page.
56
History
The history page within the Food Intake Menu is dedicated to showing pet parents
insights into their food consumption behavior. This is achieved in the form of 2
graphs, the first one being recommended vs consumed quantity for the
recommended diet and the second one depicting the intake distribution of the
various foods consumed by the pet in a day.
The date range for the data is fixed to 7 days which can be adjusted to reflect
previous days' intakes. The intake amounts will be shown as per the latest preferred
units set by the pet parents
57
2.15 Point Tracking
The Point Tracking feature allows the HPN team to run promotional campaigns to encourage pet parents to record observations,
images, or videos and fill out questionnaires.
All such activities are recorded and submitted (by the pet parents) using the Wearables mobile app and are then made
available at the Wearables portal for review and approval.
Once the wearables customer support team approves the activities, pet parents are rewarded with points for each activity,
which can be redeemed for gift coupons.
Following are the key functionalities associated with point tracking from the WCT mobile app perspective, namely:
Leaderboard Dashboard Widget
Leaderboard Campaign Details
Points Accumulation Criteria
Reward Points
B. Leaderboard Dashboard Widget
The leaderboard is available on the Dashboard of the WCT mobile app. It displays the relative ranking of the pet, along with
the campaign points accumulated by them as per the following user interface:
By default, the leaderboard will show the ranking of the top 3 pets and the ranking of the logged-in/selected pet (in case the pet
is not amongst the first 3).
Here are the components of the leaderboard:
Campaign Name: Contains the name of the campaign. If the pet is a part of more than one active campaign, all
the active campaigns will be shown in the dropdown
Pet Image: It contains the profile image of the pet that the pet parent has uploaded
Pet Name: It shows the name of the pet as given by the pet parent
Points Accumulated: The number of points the pet has accumulated during the current campaign
Ranking: The relative ranking as per the points accrued. The pet with the highest points will have the first rank, and
so on.
Refer this video link for point tracking: https://youtube.com/shorts/1AtiwYe5PWo?feature=share
58
C. Leaderboard Campaign Details
Clicking the icon on the dashboard widget will take the pet parent to the dedicated
leaderboard page, where they can see the detailed ranking (starting from rank 1) for all the
campaign participants, as per the following user interface:
59
Point Tracking Accumulation
A Limit has been introduced for all the points accumulated so that pet parents can also
refer to the details. If there is no consideration then unlimited will display.
If any activity is not considered for points then it will not populate in the list and the eligibility
criteria are different for each campaign. Based on the campaign selected criteria are varied.
Pet owners can see the criteria by clicking this icon.
60
D. Reward Points
The ‘reward points’ page will show the pet parent the "Total Reward Points" for their pet.
These are the total points currently redeemable by the pet parents. These combine the
points accumulated by the pet against all the campaigns to date. It also includes adjusting
the points redeemed to date (if any).
Here is the user interface for this page:
62
The timer user interface will have the following elements:
● On-screen timer: The on-screen timer will show the running time in hh:mm: ss format. The timer, before being
started will show 2 buttons namely ‘Timer Logs’ and ‘Go’. Clicking the Timer Logs button will redirect the user to
a screen where they can view the details logs (explained under the Timer Logs section below) and Clicking the
Go button will allow the user to initiate the Timer after selecting the following elements:
o Pet Selection: In case multiple pets are associated with a pet parent, the pet selection screen will
show all the available pets with their names and profile images. The pet parent can select one of the
pets against whom the timer activity is captured.
o Activity selection: The activity selection screen asks the user to select the ‘Activity’ under which the
timer records should be classified. The pet parent is expected to select one of the activity options
(currently available options are Running, Walking, Fetch, and Rope Tug) and then click the ‘Next’
button.
o Approximate time selection: The approximate time selection screen asks the user to select the
‘approximate time’, they expect the pet activity to last. The values available on this screen are 20
minutes, 40 minutes, 60 minutes, and 90 minutes.
Once the Submit button is clicked, the app will start the timer and the elapsed time will be shown in hh:mm: ss format
Running Timer: Based on the approximate timer duration selected, the system will keep the timer running
uninterruptedly for that duration. Once the timer is about to elapse (2 minutes before), the system will show a
notification saying, “The timer is about to stop. Please select ‘Continue’ to keep the timer running.”
This notification will have two options: Continue and Stop.
If the user chooses to ‘Continue,’ the timer will continue to run for another x minutes (same duration selected in the
approx. time). However, if the user chooses to ‘Stop,’ the timer will stop and save the data. If the user does not take
action on the notification within 2 minutes, the timer will stop automatically.
Note: The notification will continue to display for 2 minutes until the user takes action. After that, the notification will
disappear.
63
Timer Logs
Clicking the timer logs button will open an interface that will allow the pet parent to view the timer logs in the below format:
S.no
Rec Name: A dynamic recording name generated by the system
Category: The category against which the timer data is classified
Duration: The duration (in hh:mm: ss format) of the activity
Date: The date (in dd:mm:yyyy format) of the activity
Pets: In case of multiple pets, the table will have one more column named ‘Pets’ which will contain the name of
the pet against whom the time is captured.
The timer logs will be shown in a descending (date-wise) format with the latest records available at the top. The page will have
an infinite scroll and the user will be able to scroll and view the older data.
Also, there is a ‘filter’ option available at the top of the page which will allow the pet parent to filter the log records. The following
are the options available within the filter:
From Date: This is a calendar field that allows the user to select the date ‘From’ which the system should start
filtering the records
To Date: This is a calendar field that allows the user to select the date ‘To’ which the system should filter the records
Category: This is a dropdown that will allow the user to select the activity category. Only one option from the
category dropdown could be selected.
Submit Button: Clicking this button will filter the records based on the selected filter.
If the user has selected the ‘From’ date but missed selecting the ‘To’ date, the system will present an alert reading
“Please select the To date”
Alternatively, If the user has selected the ‘To’ date but missed selecting the ‘From’ date, the system will present an
alert reading “Please select the From date”
Reset Button: Clicking the reset button will reset all the filters to their default values and the filter interface will be
minimized.
64
Timelogs displayed on Dashboard Page
On the Dashboard page, the time logs are displayed as shown below. Users can access them, pause or stop the timer, and also
view the timer logs. The timer can be accessed from the quick action selection tray on the dashboard, as well as from the mobile
app menu.
65
2.17 Pet Weight
Pet parents are asked about their pets’ weight while onboarding their pet, and the same
weight is shown on the Dashboard of the WCT app:
Clicking on the more ‘ ’ icon beside the Weight section redirects the user to a page where
the pet parent can view, add, edit, and filter their pet’s weight entries.
66
B. View Weight Entries
Pet parents can view the existing/old weight entries of their pet in the list format, arranged
date-wise. The list will contain the date on which the weight was captured and the respective
weight entry (in pounds or kgs):
67
C. Edit Weight Entries
Users can edit the 'last' weight entry (and the respective unit of measurement) for their pet
by clicking the icon beside the latest weight entry:
By clicking the edit icon, users will be redirected to a page where they can edit both the pet’s
weight and the respective UoM (Unit of Measurement).
It should be noted that no other weight entry, except for the last entry, can be edited.
68
D. Filter Weight Entries
The Pet Weight Details page contains a filter option that, when exercised, allows the user to filter
the pet’s weight records. The filter includes two mandatory fields, “From Date” and “To Date.”
Here, the user can enter the date range within which they are trying to filter the pet’s weight
records. Clicking the ‘Submit’ button will display the filtered records. Clicking the ‘Reset’ button
will reset the filter, and the page will display all the entries in descending order.
69
2.18 Eating enthusiasm
An Eating Enthusiasm Scale is a form of ‘static’ 5-point validated scale defined by the HPN team. It measures how enthusiastic a
pet is while having their food. Once the eating enthusiasm scale is associated with a study, it is displayed on the WCT app
Dashboard of the pets linked to that study:
When pet parents click on the eating enthusiasm questions on the Dashboard, they are shown the eating enthusiasm scale in a
landscape mode with seven images. The scale is then followed by the section to select the date, where pet parents can choose
the date for which they are setting the scale. Once the date is selected, the system will populate a dropdown with options like
Morning, Noon, and Evening to choose the time.
70
Process of Eating Enthusiasm
Here are a few points to be noted for the Eating Enthusiasm Scale functionality:
a. Pet parents will be able to select past dates and enter backdated date entries (recommend no more than one
week prior)
b. Pet parents will not be shown their past scale selections, and there is no ‘Edit’ functionality on the app
c. The Eating Enthusiasm Scale is a configurable module that defines a study on the Wearables portal
Refer this video link for enthusiasm scale:
https://youtube.com/shorts/ymv_nxXPmHE
71
2.19 Image-Based Scoring
Image-Based Scoring is a new feature that allows image-based scales to be defined at the portal’s end and linked with clinical
studies. Currently, four types of image-based scales can be defined:
Body Conditioning Scoring (BCS) Commented [KA5]: QC team once confirm If this is
Stool Scoring
still relevant
Healthy Weight Protocol (HWP) Measurements
Once created, these image scales can be associated with studies (on the Wearables portal) along with defining the:
Display Frequency – Only once, weekly, and monthly
Display Duration – A start date and end date
Once triggered by the portal, the WCT app will display the respective image-based scoring as per the display frequency defined
on the app’s Dashboard.
72
How to submit image based scoring
When the pet parents click on the image scales-based question on the WCT app Dashboard, they will be taken to a page to
select the relevant image-based questions to be answered. Selecting a score would move the pet parent to the next page,
where they can choose the appropriate scoring image on the scale.
Once an image is selected, the app will also display an ‘Upload Image’ field (mandatory to be added), where pet parents need
to take a photo or upload an image of their pet from their phone’s gallery. There will also be a ‘Submit’ button that will send the
selected scale values (along with the date of capture) and the uploaded image to the wearables portal.
Here are a couple of points to be noted for the Image-Based Scale functionality:
a. Once pet parents successfully submit the scores, the questions should not be displayed again within the defined
frequency
b. There is no ‘edit’ feature, and pet parents can’t edit what they’ve selected
c. Once a pet parent’s response is registered, the app should hide the scoring image
73
The below screenshots are for the HWP Measurements scale which is available in
the Image-based scoring page.
74
2.20 Capture BFI
Once logged into the Mobile App, users can use the BFI photo capture feature. The photo capture
option is available in both the app’s main menu and on the dashboard. By selecting this feature, users
can begin taking pictures of their pets. After capturing the photos, they can submit them for BFI
Scoring.
Before taking photos, users are mandated to first complete the “Add New Pet” process to the mobile
app. If the pet is already registered in the Wearables system, it will appear in the list for the user to select
and proceed with capturing and submitting the pet's images for BFI Scoring.
Once the user has entered all the information listed above, a notification should appear stating, ‘Add New

o On clicking Yes, Touch ID/ Face ID Authentication will be enabled and a Green Tick mark will display beside the
Touch ID/ Face ID option.
91
3 Other sensor Operations.
Along with sensor setup, pet parents can also perform other sensor operations like Force
Sync and firmware update, etc., These operations are different for each sensor type.
However, to perform these operations just like the sensor setup sensor needs to be
connected via mobile Bluetooth with the wearables app.
92
Force Sync: Generally sensor syncs the captured data to the cloud for every
predefined cycle. By using the Force sync option, pet owners can manually sync
data to the cloud.
93
Sensor Firmware update: Selecting the Firmware option on the Device Setup page will enable the user to update
the existing firmware of the selected sensor.
Once the Firmware option is selected, the system will check whether an updated version of the firmware is
available. If yes, the system will then check if the sensor is sufficiently charged (charging greater than 80%). If the
sensor is found to be sufficiently charged, the process of updating the firmware will be initiated and once
successful, the app will let the user know about the same by showing a Success message.
However, if the system finds that the sensor is not sufficiently charged (charging less than 80%), in that case, the
firmware will not be updated and the user will be requested to charge the sensor up to 80% and reattempt the
firmware update.
94
Erase Sensor Data: Pet owners can erase the captured sensor data using this
option.
95
Restore Factory Settings: By using this feature details erase the configured SSID and details
available in the sensor.
96
How long it took to charge the sensor?
Note: It takes two hours for the sensor battery to fully charge. If any sensor has a Battery percentage below 20%, then it will be
considered as a Low Battery for the sensor. Charging the sensor once a week is recommended to avoid it reaching a low battery
level.
97
3.2 Sensor Operations for HPN1
Below are the sensor Operations that a pet owner can perform once the sensor is
connected to the wearables mobile app via Bluetooth other than Adding Wi-Fi and
changing Wi-Fi, which is nothing but doing the setup.
98
3.3 Beacons
Beacons is the new functionality implemented on the Wearables mobile app.
Beacons are tiny devices that will be handed over to pet parents and asked to be
kept in different places in their house like the Dining, Lawn, Garden, Bedroom, etc.,
With that HPN Team draws some analytics pet likely stays in which room more. By using
the wearables mobile app, pet parent needs to configure that on which room they
keeping which beacon. Beacons will only be able to detect by HPN1 sensors.
Steps to Configure the Beacon: The primary condition to have Beacon functionality is
pet parent should have an Onboarded and Set pet with an HPN1 Device. Also pet
parent needs to select the pet on the Dashboard then only, the Beacons option will
display on the menu.
Note: But as of now onboarding will display the Beacons option on the menu because
we don’t have a proper HPN1 device to complete the setup.
99
Configure Beacons: Clicking the Beacons menu, redirects to the Configure Beacons
screen, where the basic instructions are displayed below,
Please turn on the Bluetooth of your device and keep in proximity,
preferably 1-3 Range.
To enable the configuration mode of your beacon, press and hold on to the
beacon until it flashes green.
On Clicking the Configure Beacons button, will redirect to the Find Beacons
screen.
100
If the Bluetooth and Location permissions aren’t enabled then the system prompts messages to enable the permissions. For IOS
devices only Bluetooth is required. However, for Android devices Bluetooth and Location permissions should be enabled.
Assume that Bluetooth and location permissions are enabled for the wearables app but mobile’s Bluetooth and location are
disabled. Then in the case also app asks to enable mobile Bluetooth and Location as follows.
If app permissions and mobile permissions are enabled and the Configure Beacons button is clicked then the app redirects to
Find Beacons screens and starts searching for the nearby beacons.
101
Find Beacons: On clicking the configure Beacons button, the app redirects to the Find Beacons screen and starts searching for
nearby beacons. While the app is searching beacons Running Dog loader will display. On the Find Beacons screen, if there are no
beacons nearby mobile app will give “Empty Bowl! No Beacons were found. Please ensure the Beacons and mobile device is
nearby” Message will display along with the “Retry” button. On clicking the Retry button again app will search for the beacons
again.
If Beacons are detected by the app, then redirects to the List Beacons screen with the message, “<Number> beacon(s) identified. Please wait while we fetch information from this beacon(s).” In the
background, the app tries to fetch the information on the Beacon like the Beacon Number, and Beacon Location. For the app to connect with a beacon it should be in configuration mode which can
identify LED indications.
While fetching the information and writing the information to the beacon then also it flashes a continuous Green.
If there are no beacons nearby then the app will give “Empty Bowl! No Beacons were found in Configuration mode. Please ensure the Beacons are in configuration mode by pressing and holding on to the
beacon until it flashes green.” The message will display along with the “Retry” button. On clicking the Retry button again app will search for the beacons again.
102
What if more than beacons is identified?
If the Beacon is configured for the first time then in the place of location, the “RadBeacon Dot” text will display as below. If the Beacon is configured then the beacon location will display like Bedroom,
Bathroom, Dining, Kitchen, Hall, Office, Porch, and Garden as below.
When more than one beacon is identified the app connects – retrieves the information from one after the other beacon. During that process Running Dog loader displays the message “<Series> of <Total>
completed”.
If the app is unable to fetch the information from the identified beacons, the app will show an alert saying “<Number of beacons that are unable to connect > are not in configuration mode.”
On the List Beacons screen pet parents need to select the beacon which needs to configure. Only one beacon can be configured
at a time.
Whether it is first time or already configured one process is the same. Pet parents can configure the same beacon many times. So
while configuring it is better to configure one beacon at a time by sitting on the location. So that after successful configuration
beacon can be placed over there, with this process duplicates can be eliminated.
103
Beacon location Screen: On Clicking the selected beacon, the app will redirect to the
Beacon Location app which contains pictorial options of the different locations of the
home like Bedroom, Bathroom, Dining, Kitchen, Hall, Office, Porch, Garden, Basement,
Living room.
To configure the Beacons, the location should be selected. So until one location is
selected Next button will not enabled as in the above Images. On clicking the Next
button pet parent will be redirected to the Beacon Transmission Range screen.
104
Beacon Transmission Range screen: On this screen selected location along with the transmission range dropdown will display with Low, Medium, and High options. Low is recommended and the default option selection. Pet parents either can change the option or
submit directly with the pre-selected “Low” option as well.
After clicking the submit button, the app configures the location, and transmission range and completes the setup. Informative
alerts display while configuring as below.
If the configuration is successful, then a success alert displays as “The Beacon is configured successfully. Would you like to configure
another beacon?” with the Yes and No buttons.
No – Redirects to Dashboard.
105
When beacon place configuration is unsuccessful
Sometimes even though everything in place configuration might fail, on that case app will handle that through the below alert
(Right-hand side)
106
3.4 Displaying Battery Percentage of all pets on one screen.
On clicking Menu > Devices list pet parent will be redirected to the battery
percentages list screen which contains the Pet Name, Status, Battery Percentage of
each sensor, and each pet related to the logging-in account. If the percentage is not
there then “—“ will display. Pet parents can only view the list from this screen if they
can do so from the configure sensor screen.

112
3.11 Where can I view the privacy policy?
You can access the terms and conditions in the app by following below steps:
113
How do I attach the sensor to the collar?
"First, make sure the side that the sensor is being attached on is the side that will allow the sensor logo to face up and not face
your pet.
Second, secure sensor base-plate on collar using a single band.
Place band over both attach points on the same side of the base-plate utilizing the inner or outer groove depending on the
collar width.
Place the collar under the base-plate, and then wrap the band around the collar.
Secure the band over both attachment points, and in the appropriate groove on the opposite side of base-plate.
Next, align the pin on the back of the sensor with the hole in the base-plate and twist the sensor until you hear it ""click"" firmly in
place.
Then place the collar on the dog making sure the sensor is below the neck with logo facing up."

3.10 How do I know if my sensor has connected to wifi and how do I know if the sensor is uploading data?
"The sensor LED will be solid blue while it is successfully uploading data, which means
the sensor is connected to Wi-Fi.
You can also check to see that data has been uploaded by looking at the Sensor
information on the Dashboard, which shows how long it has been since it last
connected to wi-fi."
115
Why is the app saying it can’t find the sensor, but the sensor is right
next to it?
On your mobile device, be sure that Bluetooth is turned on. You will be notified through
the Wearables app on both Android and iOS to turn Bluetooth on if it is not and be
asked if you want to turn it on.
Have the sensor either connected to a charger or in your hand and move/shake the
sensor to make sure it is awake. It falls asleep after 120 seconds of no movement at all if
not on the charger.
Verify that the Device Number (DN) matches in both the Wearables Clinical Trials app,
on the back of the sensor and on the sensor box sleeve. The Device Number (DN) is a 7
digit number that starts with one or more 0’s.

3.19 How do I upload the required photos?
When submitting new observations, pet parents can choose from the updated behaviors list for pets (both cats and
dogs), which includes options for "Photos" and "Videos."
For new observations, an "Edit" option will be provided, allowing pet parents to modify the observations they submit.
New observations will only display the new behaviors list for pet parents to select and submit. If a pet parent wishes to
edit an older observation, they cannot do so; instead, they can delete the older observation and submit a new one,
which will include the updated pet behaviors list for cats and dogs.
The Observations flow in the Wearables Mobile App will not allow the pet parent to change the behavior category
unless switching from “Photos” to “Videos”.
Each Observation allows for the upload of up to 7 photos. There are no specific limits set for each photo's size or the
total file size of all photos combined.
Regarding videos, up to 5 videos can be uploaded per Observation. The maximum duration allowed for each video is
20 minutes.
If a pet parent selects "Photos" as the media type for observing, they can upload only photos, not videos. Conversely,
if they want to upload videos, they must return to the media type selection page and switch it to videos before
proceeding with the upload.
If a pet parent chooses to edit an observation, they can modify the behavior type and have the option to remove
existing photos and upload new pet photos. The same process applies when the media type "video" is selected.
However, pet parents cannot change the media type in an existing observation. While they can remove the current
photos and replace them with new ones, they are not allowed to substitute videos for photos. The media type remains
fixed and cannot be altered in this manner.
