Course Details :
Google Meet link for the classes will be provided through Whatsapp group.
The duration for the first day (27.07.2024, Saturday) of the course will be in the morning session with
discussions on unit wise weightage of marks.
The course includes a certificate of participation as per the details provided by the participants in the
Registration form. Digital certificates once generated cannot be modified in future for any reason.
The e-materials , if any, provided in this course by the resource persons will be Open Educational
Resources [OERs] with a CC licence. They can be shared but not modified and sold for monetary
benefit.
This crash course is for July, 2024 session.
Next upcoming sessions will also be announced later.

Important Reminders :
The last date for registration is 25.07.2024.
The sessions commence sharp at 9.30AM on Day 1 (27.7.2024) and on 6PM for the remaining days.
Late entrants will NOT be admitted.
The camera must be kept on for the entire session.
Mics must be muted except during discussion or at the Q & A session.
Submission of exit quizzes and feedback forms after each session is mandatory for receiving the certificate.
Kindly Maintain decorum in the sessions.
Please keep your cell phones in silence mode.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE
Sri S.Ramasamy Naidu, familiarly known as "SR" was a dedicated educationalist and
freedom fighter. His realization that political freedom will be of no value unless there is
freedom from illiteracy led him to work tirelessly for the great cause of education.
Thanks to his keen interest and initiative today, this part of Tamilnadu is blessed with a
number of educational institutions.The UGC conferred Autonomous Status to the college
in the academic year 2010-2011 and the same was extended to a period of 10 years from
the academic year 2022-2023 to 2031-2032. The College has been awarded “A++” grade
by National Assessment and Accreditation Council(NAAC) with CGPA 3.74/4(in 4th
cycle) in 2023 for its outstanding performance and Excellence. The College is recognized
under the star college scheme of the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India for
strengthening 6 undergraduate science programmes.At present, the College is offering
13 undergraduate Programmes,8 Post graduate Programmes and 8 Ph.D Programmes.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT


The Department of Computer Science was started in the Academic year 1988-89 to
provide quality education for making the students competent to enter into the Global IT
World as well as in the field of Research and Development with high moral, ethical and
professional standards. It possesses dedicated and committed faculty members with
rich experience and offers B.Sc, M.Phil and Ph.D. courses. Our department has
received sponsorship under the DBT Star College Scheme. We regularly organize
seminars, webinars, conferences, inter-collegiate competitions, and hands-on training
programs. These activities enrich our academic environment and contribute to the skill
development of our students. The department has significantly enhanced its research
activities, achieving notable contributions in research scores through new knowledge
explorations, including interdisciplinary and collaborative research efforts. It has
secured funds from National and State Government bodies to support research
projects, as well as for organizing seminars and conferences. Additionally, PG students
from the Department of Computer Science have also received grants from TNSCST to
do their final year projects.

ABOUT COMPETENCY ENRICHMENT CELL


Our College is conducting training sessions for NTANET/SET/TRB since 2019. Many of
our College students have successfully cleared the NET/SET and are placed in Grant-in-
Aid vacancies. Our Competency Enrichment cell team is committed to provide quality
training at an affordable cost for faculty members, scholars and students. The SRNMC-
NET/SET collective invites Resource Persons who have cleared multiple NETs and are
stalwarts in the area. The institution also offers coaching for TNPSC and other
competitive exams.
