USOverall Purpose of the school


 To offer programs that aid in strategies/skills necessary to succeed in the
real world such as a Leadership course, Practical Life and Progressive
introductory Technology and Vocational Activities.
 To integrate subjects throughout the curriculum that discusses topics of
relevance/research based on students need for the 21 st century.
 To provide an enriching educational environment where students can
excel in academics, skills, and be responsible citizens, and become
successful future leaders in our global society, with the collaboration of
the staff, parents, and community we encourage and guide each of our
pupils to strive for excellence, thus; Raising a whole child.
 To teach and educate according to and above the prescriptions of the
National Curriculum and the directives of the competent authority; and
 To teach and educate pupils according to the educational needs, abilities
and attainment of individual students entrusted to our care
 To ensure safety and wellbeing of pupils in our care.
 To instill discipline and educate pupils on morals and ethics.
 To ensure that the highest attainable standard of staff and equipment are
utilized in the mission of education.
 To be one with the family of pupils in partnership to achieve the desired
educational and personal development goals.

Homework and Study


Regular, effective homework is an essential part of school work for all pupils. The type
and amount of homework that a teacher issues will vary from class to class. However it is
essential to note that homework consolidate the work done at school and are duly
marked and recorded. Homework is given twice a week.
Homework given on Mondays are to be submitted on Wednesday latest and Homework
given on Fridays are due by Monday or Tuesday latest. Any homework not completed or
submitted before the deadline will be marked as failed and this will affect and reflect on
the final term report.

School Activities
We have a handful of activities designed to improve the personal development of our
pupils, inter-personal and social skills and routines.
Ensure that your child/children/children are involved in the school’s activities by availing
them the tools they need as required from time to time, ensuring that the are present in
school and ensure their punctuality. You will be contributing to the whole school issues
rather than just curricular one.
Dress Manner
We expect our pupils to represent us in appearance, you should dress as befits the
dignity of your home and this great school. This includes coming to school in the right

uniform, dressing smartly and keeping neat hair, nails and appearing in school uniforms
that are not torn, dirty or worn out. The school may send whom pupils who come to
school looking very unkempt.
School Rules and Guidelines
This is a set of guiding rules for Parents and pupils, it is important that you familiarize
yourself with all procedures since they would give you a clear picture on all aspects of
school life and school policies.

1. Be punctual, school opens by 7:00am and the school day officially begins with
the morning assembly by 7:40am. Morning assembly & morning drills are
pivotal and mandatory for every pupil.
2. Be prepared for all lessons, ensure your notebooks and writing/drawing
materials are in your bags before leaving for school.
3. Ensure all homework and projects are returned before deadline
4. Defacing and manhandling books sent home for homework and in the class is
strictly forbidden, the school is set to imbue carefulness in our pupils and will
not be fondly with this act.
5. Parents whose child knowingly and intentionally damages another pupil’s
property may have to pay for the damage if it exceed the caution bond
included in the school fees.
6. Parents are expected to return any property their child may come home with
which do not belong to them.
7. In the event of a missing item, every pupil or parent is expected to report to
the Admin, this is usually resolved immediately.
8. We do not promote nor support cursing, fighting and violent play, immoral
sexual conduct among pupils, we are always watching and listening and we
compel you to support us in this fight by reporting incidences to the school
office and seeking redress.
9. Teachers are prohibited from hitting, flogging, cursing, intimidating, speaking
to any child in demeaning or derogatory manner and subjecting any pupil to
corporal punishment, in extreme cases of misconduct which may attract
punishment, pupils are sent to the principal or the proprietor office for
counselling and correction. A pupil may be flogged in the office for cases of
aggravated assault or battery against a fellow pupil.

10. The school is home for several children and accidents and physical
confrontations between pupils are always bound to happen especially with
toddlers and younger pupils in the same space, while we may in our humanly
possible ways prevent these occurrence and address injuries and conflict
immediately, we expect you to relate with, understand, inquire with us or
report and seek our council for resolution regarding any incidence without
resorting to violence and physical confrontation with staff personnel, always
remember that this is a school environment and we would never do anything
intentionally to undermine you, your child/children or your trust in us.
11. The school reserves the right to summon parents and child regarding any
obnoxious, notorious, ill behavior or worsening attitudes or manners from your
child/children and will demand your cooperation and understanding to redress
and salvage any rising situation for the betterment of the child and other pupils
in the school and extends that right to every parent to come to school to seek
redress when they notice any such incidences and bad change of character.
12.Every child should speak volumes of goodness in their physical appearance,
and such parents are required to ensure that their child’s uniforms are neat/
ironed and body wears, school bags and footwear are mended when turn/worn
out or procure a new set.

13.No parent is allowed to Go behind the school or enter any classroom during or
after school hours without consent from the Admin or Principal and without
being escorted.
14. Parents are required to sign the clock-in and clock-out log book in the morning
and after picking up their child, it is a statutory record.
15.Parents are not advised to engage in discussion with teachers on duty or other
staff persons within the school about their child or other people’s children. If
you seek any information or wish to pass one, or perhaps wish to see the class
teacher, please ask for the Admin, Principal or Proprietress first.
16.Every drug or medication for your child/children should go through the Front
desk, Admin or Principal.
17.If your child/children shows serious symptoms of illness, we advise you keep
them at home or hospitalized, we will call you to come and take your
child/children home if you bring them to school very ill.
18.It is your duty to inform the school of any allergies that your child/children may
develop.
19.Water is essential, please pack enough for your child/children for a day.
20.School dismisses by 3:30PM, we expect you to be punctual in other to take
your child/children home so our staff too can attend to other matters in their
life, in the event that you are not able to make in time, please call the school
line and keep us informed.
21.If you find anything unsatisfactory about our services, kindly let us know so we
can improve on it.
22.Parents whose child/children are still undergoing potty training are advised to
include a spare dress in their backpacks.
23.Always remember that we are committed to support you and your
child/children in the pursuit of development and as such we are always open
for approach if you need our support.
24.School fees facilitates the operation of the school, payment of staff salaries,
procurement of learning resources and general school bills. It is imperative that
you endeavor to see that your child’s/children’s school fees are paid on time as
properly equipped teachers who are paid on time do better jobs and deliver
better results. In an event where you may not be able to pay the full sum, you
may discuss with the Admin for installment payment schedule.
25.School fees are due by the beginning of the second half of the term, while we
do not promote driving children home because of school fees debt and denying
the learning opportunity which we cannot go back to teach them when the fees
are paid eventually, we advise you share this understanding with us and make
proper plans for your children’s education.
26.Every Friday is our co-curricular and extracurricular activities day, different
activities and clubs hold their meeting, learning or practice on this day. If your
child/children belong to any club, you may be tasked to support them if need
be.
27.Open days and P.T.A meetings are mandatory for every parent, we understand
you may have a busy schedule but please make time to visit the school on
open days to meet your child/children’s teacher, interact with and make
inquiries regarding your child/children’s performance and behavior.
28.Like and follow our social media pages to keep up with media and share the
goodness in our school, it’s a small way of supporting us too ;)
29.We discourage pupils and parents to give personal gifts to the teachers in the
school except on teacher’s or worker’s day. Any gift/ greeting, shall be
collected in the office and later on passed on to the concerned teacher(s). The
Administration and management shall not keep such gift/s. This is to remove
the room for favoritism, unfairness, special treatment and biased treatment of
other pupils under the care same teacher.

30.Every parent is allowed to celebrate their child/children’s birthdays in the


school, pupil’s in the same class as a celebrant may come home with gifts
which may include edibles in sealed containers, this is traditional.
31. Try your best to inculcate good manners, discipline and high moral character
among your children. You, as a parent, is a role model for them. So first behave
yourselves as you desire your children to. They will only imitate you, your
manners and your behavior, so be weary of what you expose them to.
