Vision: Gathering the Lord's Harvest (Rev 14:15, Luke 10:3, Prov. 11:30, Dan 12:3)
First Semester Theme: Labouring together with God (Col 4:2,6&12, 1 Cor 3:9)
Topic: HOLINESS
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the
flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
INTRODUCTION
We will begin this study by defining the word 'holiness'. Holiness is defined as a state or condition
of being holy - to be holy is to be separated or set apart for a specific purpose or use by God.
Today we would be looking at holiness as regards our vision - Gathering the Lord's harvest. We will
be trusting the Holy Spirit to reveal to us the mind of God about holiness in the work that He has called us to
do. It is very important to note that God is Holy and He dwells in holiness(Isa 63:15), and so this study on
holiness is to be taken with all seriousness.
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
c. By a conscious effort to abstain from sin. 2 Cor 7:1, 2 Tim 2:19-22, 1 Cor 9:27.
Conclusion
God desires that we do his work in total holiness. Wherever we find ourselves we are meant to live
holy. We trust God to help us in this matter of holiness. Let us pray.
