    Problem Describe
    1. Background
    - On Sunday 13th august 2023 G#13 routine maintenance service (RMS) 500 change engine oil Shell Rimula
    R4X 15w40
    - 20th august 2023 14:27 G#13 stopped due to coolant temp high 102 0 c,18:39 engine start and syncron to
    system,on 21:41 engine trip indication oil press high
    - on 24th august 2023 17:46 G#13 start and syncron to system,19:20 the engine is stopped because there is an
    oil leakage, to determine the source of the leak, the engine was started and a leak was found in the left and
    right side of the fuel pump linkage and the colour of the oil had changed, then the engine was immediately
    turned off again.

    2. Action & Finding


    - 25th august 2023 drain engine oil and radiator, remove air intake manifold and exhaust manifold L and R
    side,find spindle valve was broken (L5 exhaust manifold)
    - 26th august 2023 remove cyl head 12 psc,find piston L5, injector were damage
    - 28th august 2023 remove oil sump tank, journal bearing,piston L5
    - 30th august 2023 remove oil cooler. See the pictures below
    - 31st remove Injection pump R bank,and oil cooler ,cleaning rocker am
    - 4th install cyl liner,piston,clening cyl head,engine blok ,rocker arm,measuring cyl liner
    - 5th install cyl head,lube oil cooler,top up radiator,cek radiator leakaged,install rocker arm on L4 and
    L5
    - 6th install rocker arm R-L,exhaust manifold R-L,turbo charger R-L,air intake manifold,adjust tappet
    clearence

    Drain oil from sump tank, oil & coolant has Valve exhaust broke & both push rod were bend
    mixed

    Action carried out by FTS Pekanbaru
    - 3rd Sept, FTS from Pekanbaru start to rectify G13. And found the cylinder liner L5 was cracked.
    - On September 7th, the engine was finished and ready to flush the system oil. There was no lubrication on
    the rocker arms L3, L4, and L5.
    - The engine was then turned off, and the camshaft bushing L5 damage was discovered
    - Bushings L3 and L4 are suspected of being loose and blocking the oil channel area.
    - The camshaft bushing must be replaced, which is classified as a heavy task.

    3. Conclusion & Recommendation


    - L5 bushing is out, resulting in no lubrication oil to the rocker arm.
    - Bushings L3 and L4 are suspected of being loose and blocking the oil channel area, resulting in no
    lubricating oil reaching the rocker arm.
    - Camshaft replacement is a difficult task that requires careful preparation of all parts and tools.
    - The planning and timing for repairing G13 are being discussed.
    4. Action for replacement camsaft
    - 27th sept remove air intake hose and radiator hose
    - 28th sept arrange radiator support for remove radiator
    - 29th sept remove radiator and pull to out side of container
    - 30th sept remove radiator fan, and fan fulley
    - 4th oct 2023 remove radiator tension pulley
    - 13th oct 2023 Reomve L bank cam follower and found corrosion pitted on camfollower no.4,remove
    vibration damper,remove gear cover,idle gear, camshaft and all camshaft bushing L bank (found all
    camshaft bushing was demaged), Cleaning and measure bushing housing ( normal condition), install new
    camshaft bushing
    - 14th oct 2023 measuring camshaft bushing after installed,measuring camshaft main journal(new
    part),install camshaft,idle gear and tightening
    - 15th oct 2023 cleaning gear cover,camshaft cover,pushrod,rocker arm,cam follower,and install cam
    follower
    - 16th oct 2023 install fuel injection pump, measuring camshaft backlash and idle gear
    - 21st oct 2023 install gear cover,front support, pront oil seal,vibration damper,alternator charging gear
    drive,Vbelt tension pulley
    - 22nd oct 2023 cleaing oil sump tank,install oil pump stariner ,install sump tank,cam follower cover,oil

    breather alternator charging,radiator fan vbelt,radiator fan,and alternator charging vbelt
    - 23rd oct install radiator,charge air cooler,install coolant hose,thermostat pipe,turbo Lbank,exhaust
    manifold elbow,air intake filter housing,speed control,iom,AVR,relay syinchron,coolant temp sensor
    - 24th oct install radiator fan cover,fuel injection pump hose,racor,air filter,charge air pipe,fill lube oil,and
    coolant
    - 25th oct test running engine and test load until 600kw normal

    5. Result
    After replacement camshaft bushing and camshaft, engine can operate normally
