2.1 OVERVIEW FOUNDATION

To easily identify all paint defects on the asset, the foundation is divided in several areas. There are three main areas,
namely Boat Landing (BL) , Access Ladder (AL) and Access Platform (AP). These areas are further divided in sub work areas.
This is further explained in §2.1.1 and §2.1.2. Every defect is given a number based on the area (and sub work area) where
the defect is located:

XX-YY-NN
- XX: Main Area (ID codes see below)
- YY: Sub Work Area (ID codes see below)
- NN: Item number of that defect in that area (starting from 01)

In Annex 1 and 2 of this report a blank layout is provided. To complete this report, all defects need to be identified on those
layouts.

Sub work areas (ID code):

- Upper Ladder (UP)
- Intermediate Platform (IP)
- Lower Ladder – Atmospheric Zone (LA)
- Lower Ladder – Splash Zone (LS)

The split of the lower ladder in two zones is clearly visible and demarks the separation between the splash zone and
atmospheric zone of the foundation (app. 8,2 m LAT).
