    We look back with GRATITUDE and THANKSGIVING For another year in life that we enjoyed; For the people that made our life meaningful; For the lessons in life that made us better persons; For all the graces we have received. We look back with REGRETS and LEARNING... For our sins and mistakes; For our carelessness and impulsiveness; For failing to see that in life we are not the ones in total control.

    AS THE NEW YEAR 2012 BEGINS


    We open ourselves to God in FAITH... That fear of the unknown should not ensnare us; That Jesus Christ our Lord is faithful to keep us in His care; For He is the same yesterday, today and forever. We open ourselves to a new BEGINNING and BLESSING... The Lord bless you and keep you! The Lord let his face shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord look upon you kindly and give you peace!     Confirmation Classes
    It is now time to register if you are a Catholic high school student in grade 10 or higher who wishes to begin preparation to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Classes are Tuesdays, 6:45-8:00 pm beginning January 10, 2012. Class fee is $55.00. Bring your baptism certificate to register. For questions, call (858) 277-3861.

    ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT: Held the 2nd Saturday of month, Daily Chapel, 8:45 am - 3:30 pm. ANCIENT ORDER OF HIBERNIANS: Every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Music Room. BIBLE SHARING (Sunday by Sunday): Monday mornings, 9:00-10:30 am, in the Ministry Center. BINGO: Every Friday night at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 4:00 p.m. Babysitting is available. CHILDCARE: Every Sunday from 9:00 a.m. till noon in the Preschool; for infants and children up to four years of age. For more information, call (858) 279-0161. (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults): For adults seeking Baptism or for baptized adults seeking full membership in the Catholic Church by preparing to receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.     St. Columba Church is now offering online giving for your convenience. We use VANCO Services to process your electronic donations. You can set up automatic or one-time debits from your checking/savings accounts or use debit and credit cards. If you feel uncomfortable not dropping something in the collection basket, there are purple slips in the pews you can use to indicate youve given online.     Work Party
    Saturday, January 14th, 8:00 am-12 noon
    Help us fix up our church property. All skill levels welcome. You will be treated to a continental breakfast and lunch.
