In a constantly changing world, the benefits of education are amongst the only few constants.
Education envisioned as a transformative journey - a journey of inquiry, learning and maximizing
human potential is bound to have positive implications for the world’s most pressing problems.
True education leaves its imprints on the students’ soul long after they complete their formal
education. In a shrinking global world, pursuit of academic excellence needs to be blended with
cosmopolitan and global values while keeping the moral, spiritual and ethical essence and ethos
of Indian education system alive – Mr. Bharat Agarwal, President, Vishwakarma University.
Quality education is not a matter of chance. It is carefully and consciously cultivated. It can turn
to a reality when a University establishes Centers of Excellence and envisions a University as a
space to promote a community of scholars, thinkers and leaders. Education in its true sense is an
ecosystem that helps students follow their natural curiosity and unravel their own unique career
paths. Education should give wings to their ideas and embolden them to start independent
successful ventures. It can be achieved when programmes are made research intensive,
underpinned by cutting edge innovation and social relevance – Dr. Wasudeo Gade, Vice
President, Vishwakarma University.
India is at a juncture where a large population is making inroads into higher education every year.
Since public institutions are few, private institutions have stepped in to serve the need. These
institutions have to rise to the challenge of bridging the gap between academia and industry. To
do so, it is essential we create a vibrant and enriching teaching-learning culture that inspires
innovation and entrepreneurship. Traditional pedagogies need to be reassessed to facilitate a more
interactive and trans-disciplinary learning experience – Dr. Siddharth Jabade, Vice Chancellor,
Vishwakarma University.
