College/Campus : St. Joseph College of Sciences and Mathematics Education (SJCSME), Mbezi–
Luguruni, Dares Salaam.

I am pleased to inform you that you have been selected and approved by TCU for admission
into the above-mentioned programme at SJCSME-Mbezi–Luguruni, Dar es Salaam for the
academic year 2018/2019. Congratulations!
You are required to report at the Campus for registration and orientation starting from 29th
October, 2018 to 9nd November, 2018.Acopy of the Orientation Programme shall be
obtained from the Dean of Students office on reporting.
1. Candidate who fails to report and register within the stipulated period may lose his/her
admission.
2. Your admission will be confirmed only after proper verification and submission of the
following documents at the time of registration: -
i. School Leaving Certificate / Transfer Certificate — Original and 3
photocopies attested by Commissioner of Oaths.
ii. Form IV Certificate / CSEE results slip — Original and 3 photocopies
attested by Commissioner of Oaths.
iii. Form VI Certificate / ACSEE results slip — Original and 3 photocopies
attested by Commissioner of Oaths.
iv. Birth Certificate — Original and 3 copies attested by Commissioner of
Oaths.
v. Certificate/Transcript from Institution recognized by TCU/NACTE, original
and 3 photocopies.
vi. Medical / Physical Fitness Certificate with Test report — Original.
vii. Recent Passport size photographs — 3 copies.
viii. Receipt of payment of College fees — Original.
Note: Please ensure that you have collected back all your original certificates after
verification.

3. Fees to be paid directly to the college by the student enrolled for Sciences Education

i Registration fee Tshs. 50,000

iii Refundable caution deposit Tshs. 100,000
iv Examinations Fee Tshs. 100,000
v Annual Health Insurance (NHIF) Tshs. 50,400
vi TCU Quality Assurance fee Tshs. 20,000

Note:
o Those having family health insurance scheme need not pay the NHIF but must submit a
copy of the health insurance during registration.
o Tuition fee above is for academic year 2018/2019. Tuition fee for other years may change
depending on student’s unit cost, as may be communicated in advance.
o Ensure you write full names of the student and course when making deposit.
C. Recommended charges payable directly by the Sponsor / Parent to Students:
i. Books and Stationery Tshs. 200,000

ii. Special Faculty Requirements Tshs. 150,000
Total Tshs. 350,000
4. Tuition fee may be paid either in full or in two equal installments before being registered
in the beginning of each semester. Other fees and prescribed college charges shall be paid
in full during registration. Registration will be done only upon full payment of fees and
other costs as indicated above.
5. Candidates who are loan beneficiaries of the Higher Education Students Loans Board (as
per the mean testing by the board), will have to pay the difference of tuition fees in
installments as above.
6. Only candidate, who has paid the required college fees will be issued with admission card
to enable him/her to attend the regular classes.
7. The college fees once paid, under any circumstance will not be refunded or transferred.
8. Loan beneficiary candidates are required to submit Bank Account Number in the name of
the "Student Only".
9. Student’s Union Contributions Tshs. 10,000 to be paid directly to the Students Union
Bank Account No. 0010048141, Account Name: SOSJUCET at EXIM BANK.
10. The college has a canteen outsourced to a private catering service to provide meals to
students' and staff at reasonable prices.
11. During your studies at SJUIT, you will be required to observe appropriate decent dress
code as provided for by Students’ By-Laws.
12. All students shall strictly adhere to the Students’ By-Laws in full, which may be amended
from time to time without notice.
