CONTENTION - Muhammad  is a mere human like us, ordinary, we should not over praise him?!

‫ سيد الكونني واثلقلني‬,‫ سيد العابدين‬,‫ سيد األنبياء واملرسلني‬, ‫حممد سيد اخللق والبرش‬
Anas ibn Malik  says the Prophet  illuminated everything in Madinah the day he entered, and
Madinah lost its glory & light the day he passed away (Tirmidhi) I never felt anything softer or
more beautiful than the palm & fragrance of the Prophet  (Bukhari)
Abu Hurairah "I have not seen anything more beautiful than the Messenger  it was as if the sun
flowed upon his face. (Tirmidhi) Hassan Bin Thabit  “Better than you, no eye has ever seen. More
beautiful than you, no woman has given birth to. You are free from all defects, as if you were
created however you wished” Ibn Abbas  said “You illuminated the horizons with your birth”
He  is extraordinary, the best, unparalleled, exemplary, pinnacle & perfection of creation!
ARSH, KURSI, QALAM, JANNAH, HEAVENS, ANGELS = ALL CREATED
MUHAMMAD  IS THE BEST & OF ALL ALLAH’S CREATIONS & BETTER THAN ALL OF THEM!
“I am the leader & master of Humanity, I am the Beloved of Allah, I am the carrier of the Banner of
Praise, I am the 1st to be Resurrected, 1st to Intercede, 1st to enter Jannah, I am the Most Noble
among the First & Last – but I do not boast” (Muslim & Tirmidhi)
All these scenes are deliberately orchestrated by Allah  , Qabr, Hashr, Mizaan, Hisaab, Jannah.
Why? Because Allah  wants all of creation to see the Honour & Maqaam of the Prophet .
 ً ْ َ َ ً ُ َ ُ َْ َ ْ َ ُ
The earth was made into a Masjid due of the Sujood of the Prophet . ‫ج ِعلت ِِل األرض طهورا ومس ِجدا‬
The dust was made pure because of the blessed feet of the Prophet .
Only in our religion, only for the Prophet . (Bukhari)

The place between his Minbar & home became a pieceٌ of Jannah, only due to the walking &
ْ َ ََ َ ْ َ َّ َ ْ َ ‫ني َبيِْت َومنْ ََبي َر ْو َضة م ْن ر‬
َ ْ َ‫( َما ب‬Bukhari)
presence of the Prophet . ‫َبي لَع حو ِض‬
ِ ‫ن‬ ‫م‬
ِ ‫و‬ ،‫ة‬ِ ‫ن‬ ‫اْل‬ ‫اض‬
ِ ‫ي‬ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ
In the battle of Uhud the eyeball of Qatadah  was injured & came out, the Prophet  fixed
it with his saliva & blessed hands. It then became more beautiful & sharper than before.
When Musa  went to the Valley of Tuwa, he was told to remove his sandals. (20:12)
When the Prophet  went on Mi’raj he went beyond the Arsh with his sandals on. (53:9)
The dust became a source of medicine & cure only when it was mixed with his blessed saliva .
When a patient would be brought to the Prophet , he would take his blessed saliva mix it with
the dust beneath his sandals & read this Du’aa.
َ‫يمنَا بإ ْذن َر ِّبنا‬
ُ ‫يقة َب ْعضنَا ي ُ ْش ََف َسق‬
َ َ ْ َ َُُْ
ِ ِِ ِ ِ ِ ‫( بسم اهلل تربة أر ِضنا بِ ِر‬Bukhari)

Without doubt & hesitation Allah  ‫ & ال رشيك هل‬without doubt & hesitation Prophet  ‫ال شبيه هل‬
‫“ مزنه عن رشيك يف حماسنه فجوهر احلسن فيه غري منقسم‬There is no equal to him in his magnificence. For in him,
the essence of perfection is indivisible” (Qasidah Burdah)
How do we reconcile, restrict this form of praise with the statement of the Prophet 
“Do not exaggerate in praising me as the Christians praised the son of Mary, for I am only a Slave.
So, call me the Slave of Allah and His Apostle." (Bukhari)
The Christians made Eesa  a god, DON’T DO THAT, otherwise praise me however else you wish.
Gibraeel , Ibn Abbas, Hassan bin Thabit, Abdullah ibn Rawaha, Ka'b ibn Malik, Umm e Ma’bad
 and more all praised him !
No one has ever & never will any Muslim ever equate or raise the Prophet  to the status of a god?!
Because we know he is Muhammad The Messenger, Muhammad The Slave. (17:1) (33:40)
ْ َْ ُ ًََ َْ ََْْ َ
The Prophet  also himself did a Du’a to Allah  – ‫َبي وثنا يعبد‬
ِ ‫ امهلل َل َتعل ق‬- (Miskhat)
The Prophet  is saying, everything other than the rank of divinity, ‫مرتبة األلوهية‬, then I am worthy of
that praise, so praise me however you wish.
“Abandon what the Christians have claimed about their Prophet.
Beyond that say whatever you wish in praise of him.
You may ascribe whatever you wish of nobility to his essence.
And to his rank, whatever you wish of greatness.
Indeed, the high merit of the Messenger of Allah has no furthest limit.
Which could ever be expressed by the tongue of a human being.” (Qasidah Burdah)
‫‪Hassan Bin Thaabit ‬‬ ‫ملا رأيت أنواره سطعت وضعت من خيفِت كيف لَع برصي خوفا لَع برصي‬
‫من حسن سورته فلست أنظره إَل لَع قدري‬
‫روح من انلور يف جسم من القمر كحلية نسجت من األجنم الزهر‬

‫‪Ibn Abbas ‬‬ ‫وأنت ملا ودلت أرشقت األرض وضاءت بنورك األفق‬
‫فنحن يف ذلك الضياء ويف انلور وسبل الرشاد خنرتق‬

‫من مثلكم لرسول اهلل ينتسب يلت امللوك هلا من جدكم نسب‬
‫ما للسالطني أحساب جبانبكم هذا هو الرشف املعروف واحلسب‬
‫‪Imam al-Shaafi’e ‬‬ ‫خري انلبيني لم يذكر لَع شفة إَل وصلت عليه العجم والعرب‬
‫خري انلبيني لم حترص فضائله مهما تصدت هلا األسفار والكتب‬
‫خري انلبيني لم يقرن به أحد وهكذا الشمس لم تقرن بها الشهب‬
‫واهزتت األرض إجالَل ملودله شبيهة بعروس هزها الطرب‬

‫دع ما ادعته انلصارى يف نبيهم واحكم بما شئت مدحا فيه واحتكم‬
‫‪Imam Busiri ‬‬ ‫وانسب ٕاىل ذاته ما شئت من رشف وانسب اىل قدره ما شئت من عظم‬
‫فإن فضل رسول اهلل ليس هل حد فيعرب عنه ناطق بفم‬
How can we ever truly praise, compliment or honour the Kamaal, Jamaal & Maqaam of the
Prophet  when we are limited & don’t know his reality.
So, we turn to Allah  and ask Him about his station, his praise & beauty!
“And We have exalted your remembrance for you.” (94:4)
“And God's favour upon you is tremendous indeed.”(4:113)
ً‫امنُوا َصلُّوا َعلَيْه َو َسلِّ ُموا ت َ ْسليما‬
َ ‫ين َء‬
َ ‫َّل‬َّ َ ُّ َ َ َّ َ َ َ ُّ َ ُ ُ َ َ َ َ َ َ َّ َّ
ِ ِ ِّ ‫( ِإن ٱَّلل ومل ٰٓـ ِئكتهۥ يصلون لَع ٱنل‬33:56)
ِ ‫ِب ي ٰٓـأيها ٱ‬ ِ
We are limited, but Allah  who knows his reality praised the Prophet  beyond compare.
In 6236 verses, Allah  praised the Prophet , his being, essence, life, moments, 2672 times.
َ َّ َ ْ َ َ ُّ َ َ ٰ َ َ ْ َ ْ ُ ُ َ َّ ُ ُ ُ َ ْ َ َ ٰ َ ْ َ ُّ َّ َّ ُ ُ َّ ٌ َّ َ ُّ
‫ قد نرى تقلب وج ِهك ِيف السما ِء‬- ‫ وأزواجه أمهاتهم‬- ‫ انل ِِب أوَل‬- ‫اَّلل‬ ِ ‫حممد رسول‬
ُ
ْ‫نكم‬ ْ َ َْ َ ْ َ ْ ُ ً َ َّ َ ْ َّ ُ ْ ِّ َ َ َ َ َ َ ُ ِّ َّ ُ ْ َ ُّ َ َ
‫ يستح ِِي ِم‬- ‫يث‬ َ
ٍ ‫ مستأن ِ ِسني ِحل ِد‬- ‫ق ِم الليل ِإَل ق ِليال‬- ‫ و ِثيابك فطهر‬- ‫يا أيها المدثر‬
َ َ‫ َو ََل َت ْع ُد َعيْن‬- ‫نق َض َظ ْه َر َك‬
ْ‫اك َعنْ ُهم‬ َ َ َّ َ َ ْ َ َ َ ْ َ ْ َ ْ َ َ َ َ ُ ُّ ُ َ َ َ ٰ َ َ ْ َ ُ َ َ َ َ ُ َ ْ َّ َ َ َّ َ
ِ - ‫ ألم نرشح لك صدرك‬- ‫ وَل َتطه ِبي ِمي ِنك‬- ‫نطق ع ِن الهوى‬
‫اَّلي أ‬ ِ ‫ ما ي‬- ‫ف ِإنما يَّسناه بِ ِلسانِك‬
َ ُ َ ُْ َ َ َ َ َ ْ َ َ ُ َ َ ْ َ َ َ َ َ َ َّ َّ ٰ َ َ َ ْ َ َ ْ َ ْ َ َ َ َ
ٰ‫اد َما َرأى‬ ‫ ما كذب الفؤ‬- ‫نذ ِرين‬ ُ
ِ ‫لَع قل ِبك ِِلكون ِمن الم‬ ٰ ‫كن اَّلل ر‬
ٰ - ‫َم‬ ِ ‫وما رميت ِإذ رميت ول‬
ْ‫نت فيهم‬ َ َ‫اَّلل يلُ َع ِّذ َب ُه ْم َوأ‬
ُ َّ ‫ َو َما ََك َن‬- ‫ى‬ ٰ َ َ َ َ ْ ُ ُ َ َّ َ َ ُ َ َ ْ َ َ َ
‫احبكم وما غو‬
ِ ِ ِ ِ ‫ ما ضل ص‬- ‫ما زاغ اْلرص‬
َ ُ َ ْ َ ْ َ ْ َ َ ْ ُ َّ َ ُ ْ َ َ َ ُ ُ َ َ َ َ َّ َ ٌ َ َ َ ٌ َ ْ ُ َّ ُ َ ْ ُ َ َ َ ْ َ َّ
‫ لعمرك ِإنهم ل ِيف سكرتِ ِهم يعمهون‬- ‫يم‬ ٍ ‫َل خل ٍق ع ِظ‬ ٰ ‫ و ِإنك لع‬- ‫اَّلل أسوة حسنة‬
ِ ‫ول‬ ِ ‫لقد َكن لكم ِيف رس‬
Never think of him  as a mere Bashar – Never hesitate to ever praise him unconditionally!!!
No one is remotely comparable to the Prophet  in Fadl, Akhlaq, Imaan, Soorah, Seerah!!!
