V. My Aunt Nancy
My Aunt Nancy was born in England, but now she lives in Perth, Australia. She went to
Australia in 1985 when her husband, my Uncle Jack, died.
She is 80 years old now, but she still works. She’s an artist. She paints pictures of cats for
birthday cards. She loves cats – she has twenty-five.
She started painting in 1986. At the first she painted just for a hobby, but then in 1989 she
began making and selling birthday cards. A lot of people liked them and bought them.
