Scope of the Project
Sweans will develop a website based on the requirements of. The project will be specifically
designed to meet your unique requirements. Because we code everything by hand, we’ll give
you exactly what you need – efficient and wrinkle-free – without trying to force things to fit. The
website will be built on the Shopify platform, with the integration of Odoo ERP via Odoo Shopify
connector into Shopify.

The design of the website aims to transform it into a visually captivating, user-friendly, and
high-performing online platform that effectively represents 's brand and engages its target
audience. By addressing the outlined objectives and scope items, we anticipate achieving a
successful website that aligns with current industry standards and best practices
Implementation & Rollout Plan

Stage 1: Get to know the requirements


The initial stage of the project focuses on gaining a comprehensive understanding of the
requirements, ensuring that no features or quality are compromised. This stage is crucial for
laying the foundation of the project and setting the right direction for development. The following
activities will be undertaken:

1. Requirement Gathering: A thorough analysis will be conducted to gather all


requirements. This includes understanding the client's vision, target audience, desired
features, and specific functionalities needed for the website.

2. Documentation: A detailed requirement specification document will be prepared,


capturing all the identified requirements, features, and functionality. This document
serves as a reference point throughout the project, ensuring clarity and alignment
between all project stakeholders.

3. User Experience (UX) Design: The UX design phase will focus on creating prototypes,
and mockups to visualize the website's structure and flow. This stage allows for early
feedback and validation of the user interface, ensuring a seamless and intuitive browsing
experience for customers.

4. Technical Feasibility Assessment: The technical team will assess the feasibility of
implementing the desired features within the chosen Shopify platform. This evaluation
ensures that the project's objectives align with the platform's capabilities and technical
constraints.

5. Project Planning and Timeline: Based on the gathered requirements and technical
assessment, a comprehensive project plan will be developed. This plan outlines the
timeline, milestones, deliverables, and resource allocation necessary to successfully
execute the project.

Stage 2: Environment set-up

The second stage focuses on the environment setup, which involves selecting a suitable theme
and incorporating relevant integrations. This stage is crucial for establishing the foundation of
the Shopify website and ensuring its functionality aligns with the project's requirements.

1. Theme Customization: Utilizing Shopify's theme customization tools, we'll develop a


theme tailored to your brand's identity and vision, ensuring a unique appearance that
resonates with your audience.

2. Integration with Odoo ERP: Through the implementation of the Odoo Shopify
Connector, we'll seamlessly integrate your Shopify store with Odoo ERP, allowing for
efficient management of various business processes such as inventory, orders, and
customer data.

3. App Integration: We'll incorporate Shopify apps and third-party services as needed to
enhance your website's functionality and user experience. These integrations may
include features such as product image carousels, contact forms, career page
functionalities, and analytics tools like Google Analytics, all seamlessly integrated into
your Shopify store.

Stage 3: The Designing

The third stage of the project focuses on translating the gathered requirements into a detailed
portrait that accurately represents the desired features and quality of the website. This stage is
crucial for ensuring that the project's objectives are effectively communicated and visualized.
The following activities will be undertaken:

1. Design Conceptualization: Drawing from the gathered requirements and user


experience design phase, our design team will craft a conceptual representation of your
Shopify website. This involves creating a visual design that reflects your brand identity
and selecting suitable colour palettes, typography, and layout elements.

2. Visual Mockups and Prototypes: Detailed visual mock-ups and prototypes will be
developed to provide a realistic depiction of your Shopify store's user interface.
Stakeholders can review and provide feedback on the website's appearance, navigation,
and overall aesthetic. Iterations will be made to refine the design until it meets your
desired standards.

3. Content Uploading: Stakeholders will be responsible for providing content and images
for the website.

By dedicating attention to detail and meticulous design execution, the second stage of the
project ensures that the portrait effectively captures the desired features and maintains the
desired level of quality. It provides stakeholders with a visual representation of the final product,
setting the stage for the subsequent development and implementation phases with confidence.

Stage 4: Development

The fourth stage focuses on development, where we bring the envisioned version to life on the
Shopify platform, leveraging its customization capabilities and integration with Odoo ERP. This
stage involves translating the design concepts and requirements into a functional and fully
operational online store.

We will undertake the following activities:

1. Custom Shopify Theme Creation: We will create a custom theme tailored to branding
requirements. This includes implementing visual elements, layout, colour schemes, and
typography to reflect the design mock-ups.

2. Development: Our development process combines expertise to create a comprehensive


Shopify store. Using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, our front-end team crafts visually
appealing and responsive designs. Simultaneously, our back-end team manages
technical aspects, integrating apps, configuring product and collection pages, and
ensuring smooth functionality for an optimal user experience across devices.

3. Content Integration: The developed Shopify store will be populated with content
elements provided during earlier stages. This includes adding content, images, and
product information to create a cohesive online shopping experience.

4. Performance Optimization: We will optimize the website's performance to ensure fast


loading times and a smooth browsing experience for visitors. This may involve tasks
such as image optimization, code minification, and implementing caching techniques to
improve page load speed and overall performance.
Stage 5: Website Handover

The fifth stage of the project involves the handover of the completed Shopify store.

We will carry out the following activities:

1. Shopify Store Handover: The fully developed Shopify store, including all relevant files,
assets, and documentation, will be handed over to the client or designated stakeholders.
This includes providing access to the Shopify admin panel, hosting credentials, and
other necessary information.
2. Documentation and User Guides: Comprehensive documentation and user guides will
be provided to stakeholders, covering the store's features, functionality, and
management processes. It serves as a reference for future updates, troubleshooting,
and maintenance.
3. Technical Support: We will offer ongoing technical support to address any
post-handover questions, concerns, or issues. This support may include assisting with
troubleshooting, resolving technical problems, and clarifying any queries related to the
store's functionality.
4. Platform Maintenance: We will guide routine platform maintenance tasks, such as
updating the Shopify platform and apps, as well as maintaining data backups and
security measures. It ensures the ongoing stability and security of the store.
5. Post-Handover Support: We will establish a post-handover support plan to address
any issues or questions. This support may include a designated point of contact for
ongoing assistance and periodic check-ins to ensure the store continues to operate
smoothly.

The Home page features a prominent navigation bar displaying collection names, allowing
visitors to easily browse through different product categories. Additionally, the page showcases
new arrival products, enticing customers with the latest offerings and encouraging exploration of
your Shopify store's inventory.

Shop:
The Shop page serves as the central hub for all products organized into categories for
streamlined navigation. Customers can browse through the entire product catalogue or filter
products based on specific categories, making it convenient to find items of interest.

Product Single:

On this page, a detailed summary of the product will be displayed.

Collection Single:

The products from a particular collection will be displayed here.


Cart:
The Cart page gives customers an overview of the items they have added to their shopping cart,
including product details such as name, price, and quantity. Customers can review their
selections, make adjustments if necessary, and proceed to checkout. The page also displays
the total order value, shipping options, and any applicable discounts or promotions.

Sign-in:
The Sign-in page allows customers to log in to their accounts or create new accounts if they are
new to the store.

API INTEGRATION
To set up the Shopify Odoo connector, begin by accessing your Shopify account settings and
navigating to the "Develop apps for your store" section. Create a new app and provide the
required information. Next, configure the Admin API integration under Configuration > Admin
API integration, ensuring appropriate permissions for seamless data synchronization between
Shopify and Odoo. Then, move to the "API credentials" section to generate an Access Token by
installing the app and clicking "Install App." Remember, the Access Token serves as the
password for Admin API access, so be sure to copy it once as it cannot be retrieved without
regenerating it.

To integrate your Shopify accounts with Odoo, you'll need to create separate instances for each
Shopify account. Navigate to the Shopify module in Odoo and click "Create Instance." Enter the
necessary details like Host, Access Token, Secret Key, and API Key obtained from Shopify.
Once the instance setup is complete, you can manage its configuration directly from the same
panel. Next, configure Financial Status and Automatic Jobs by clicking on the respective
buttons. Detailed information about these configurations will be discussed further in the
document. Alternatively, you can create instances from Shopify's Settings menu by selecting
"Create more instances" after scrolling down.

While we strive to anticipate and prevent potential issues, some risks are inherent in any
project. We've identified possible risks and have prepared contingency plans:

1. Scope Creep: To avoid unexpected tasks increasing time and costs, we'll clearly define
the project's scope at the outset and use our Agile approach to accommodate changes
in a controlled manner.
2. Technical Difficulties: In the event of technical glitches or issues, we have a skilled
technical team ready to troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly. We'll also ensure
regular data backups to prevent loss.
3. Delays in Feedback: Any delay in feedback can slow down the project. To mitigate this,
we'll set clear expectations for turnaround times and maintain consistent communication.

Our approach considers all the requirements outlined in the specification document, delivering a
well-planned, time-bound strategy, and risk-averse. Meticulous planning and effective risk
management will ensure the successful completion of the project within the stipulated time
frame.

The technology chosen for website development will be Shopify integrated with the Odoo
Shopify Connector. This integration will be achieved through API Integration, ensuring smooth
communication between the two platforms.
