you want to attend, how the event fits into or complements your studies, how

I graduated from Sookmyung Women's University in Seoul, South Korea, with a double major in
Public Administration alongside Humanities and Social Sciences. During my undergraduate years,
Public Administration Society was my community that I was leading and organizing our seminars
and study events. Meanwhile, my focus was on the experience of young women; specifically,
work and housing concerns. So, I formed a group of 20 individuals for focus group interviews
and established the Seoul Young Women's Network, receiving support from the Seoul
Government for a series of seminars and extensive research. Therefore, all this experience and
academic background gave me the dream of becoming a social policy researcher that I achieved
to begin my career as a social science researcher in Change2020, enabling me to drive research
projects and participate in training supported by the Prime Minister's Office. Particularly,
research on communication between the government and the society in Nordics. So, through
this program, I want to learn about the basic collaborative process and public-private sector of
European social science research. Because I have learned through my journey that
administrative approaches are more powerful when they are implemented through public-private
partnerships.

13. Describe what you hope to contribute to your team and what skills you want to
develop. (describe the skills, background and perspectives that you bring to the
event, how you work in a team, and what you hope to learn from
participating). (200 words max)

My aspiration is to work in Gender Administrative Policies as a Communication Expert, continuing

to contribute to Korea's policy-making amidst the challenges of reaching developmental limits.
For effective policy formulation, precise analysis and diagnosis of online and offline discourse are
necessary. Additionally, mastery of related subjects such as Information Technology, Sociology,
and Media Analytics is crucial for international communication.
Orchestrating these subjects requires impeccable quantitative and qualitative research methods
to establish a valid foundation. Moreover, accountability and responsibility are essential merits of
communication. Sweden exemplifies state-of-the-art communication with its humanistic, gender-
equal, free-speech, and transparent government.
So, through this program, I hope to gain experience in many administrative institutionalization
processes in the public sector's policy decision-making process. As a student in the Master in
Communication program, I bring valuable expertise in administrative and policy matters related
to gender equality, particularly within the Korean and Northeast Asian contexts. My experience
as a seminar and forum director enables me to support student initiatives and facilitate
academic events for a broader audience. Additionally, my background as an administrative
professional equips me to offer insights for focused group interviews and thesis development. I

aim to leverage these experiences to contribute to academic research and enhance the
collaborative learning environment of the program.

14. Is there anything else you want us to know or consider that you didn't address
in the questions above? (200 words max)

Through my academic journey in Public Administration and Humanities, considering the major
ones, I authored 5 research papers focusing on gender-sensitive budget analysis, labor issues of
middle-aged women, and a graduation thesis on the rise of feminism in women's universities. In
my graduation thesis: “Exploring the Potential for Feminist Movement on Campus”
(http://bit.ly/youngseocho), I conducted my research by utilizing sociological perspectives,
resource mobilization theories, and social psychology frameworks, and documented them in my
50 pages long thesis report. With more detail, the subject was correlated to unique
characteristics of Fourth-wave Feminism. Moreover, from the social movement theory
perspective, I critically analyzed the causes of the growing interest in feminism, while
highlighting administrative perspectives on the policy limitations. After, as a Social Science
Researcher in Change2020 NGO, I have worked on much more academic literature as stated in
my CV.
