Haku
I am happy you want to crochet the baby rattle 'Haku the Dragon'.
The finished rattle measures around 18-20 cm. As this rattle is done by
attaching parts together, it is important that you fasten all yarn tails a bit extra.
Regularly check that the rattle is intact, and if not, make sure you throw it
away.
Happy Crocheting ♡

TAIL (color 'A')
Haku
I use a stitch marker in the last sc so that the tail does not

unravel. Later, we will continue to crochet in the last
R2: *1 sc, inc* x3 (9)
stitch on the tail. Leave a long yarn tail for crochet, approx
R3: 9 sc (9)
40cm long.
R4: *2 sc, inc* x3 (12)
SLEEVE for the wooden ring (color 'A')
R5: 12 sc (12)
Increase or decrease number of stitches on row 1
R6: *3 sc, inc* x3 (15)
depending on the thickness of your wooden ring. The
R7: 15 sc (15)
wooden ring I use has a thickness of 1.2cm. The sleeve
R8: *4 sc, inc* x3 (18)
should sit tight on the wooden ring. If you have a smaller
R9: 18 sc (18)
ring than 70 mm you might need to adjust number of
R10: *5 sc, inc* x3 (21)
rows. The sleeve should cover approx 3/4 of the ring.
R11: 21 sc (21)
R12: *6 sc, inc* x3 (24) Row 1: Ch 11 (11)
R13: 24 sc (24) Row 2-46: 10 sc start in the 2nd ch from the hook, turn
R14: *7 sc, inc* x3 (27) with a ch (10, 45 Rds)
R15: 27 sc (27)
R16: *8 sc, inc* x3 (30) Finish with a ch and leave a yarn tail for sewing.

ASSEMBLING
1. Sew the muzzle on the head and fill with
fiberfill stuffing when you are done with
3/4. Sew the muzzle between round 12
and round 22/23. The part of the muzzle
that are a bit longer should be
horizontally. Use the rest of the yarn tail
to embroider nostrils with. Embroider the
nostrils on round 6 with approx 8-9 sc
between them. Fasten the yarn tail inside
the little hole (last round of the head).
2. Sew the spikes on the head. Sew the first
spike between round 4 (towards the
muzzle) to the MR. Sew 4 spikes on the
head and fasten all yarn tails inside the
hole in the head.
