Commission, 2010 with regard to the sharing of Bus Pass facility - Amendment – Orders – Issued.

O R D E R:
In the G.O. 1st read above, orders were issued implementing the recommendations of Pay Revision
Commission, 1993 on Bus Pass Concession stating that the Government contribution for the Concessional Bus
Passes issued to the Government employees shall be 2/3rd of the cost of the general bus pass rate and the
remaining 1/3rd cost shall be borne by the employees and the facility shall be extended to all those employees,
who are drawing pay in the pay scales below the scale of Rs.2930-5960 (RPS-1993) irrespective of their status
either Gazetted or Non-Gazetted.
2. Subsequently, based on the recommendations of the Pay Revision Commission, 1999 and 2005, orders
were issued vide G.O’s. 2nd and 5th read above, inserting the scale of pay of Rs.5640-11300 (RPS-1999) in place
of Rs.2930-5960 (RPS-1993) and Rs.8385-17905 (RPS-2005) in place of Rs.5640-11300 (RPS-1999)
respectively.
3. The 9th Pay Revision Commission, while recommending the new scales of pay for the State Government
Employees etc., has recommended that the Concessional Bus Pass system may be continued in the present form.
4. On the recommendations of the 9th Pay Revision Commission, a Master Scale was approved vide G. O.
Ms. No.52, Finance (PC.I) Dept., dt.25.2.2010. The President, Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers’ Union,
Secretariat Branch, in his representation 8th read above, has requested to issue necessary orders to allow the
Government Employees for availing concessional bus pass facility, who are in the Scale of Pay of Rs.14860-39540
(RPS-2010), which is corresponding scale to Rs.8385-19125 (RPS-2005).
5. Government, after careful examination of the matter, hereby permit —

i) to continue the present concessional Bus Pass facility to the Employees of the State Government, who
are working in Twin Cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad; Vishakapatnam; Vijayawada; and
Hanamkonda / Warangal / Kazipet and who are drawing the pay in the scales below the scale of
Rs.14860-39540 (Revised Pay Scales, 2010) also, irrespective of their status either Gazetted or Non-
Gazetted;
ii) to extend of the above facility to the Government Employees, who are working in the limits of all the
Municipal Corporations in the State also, if the APSRTC is running city services in those places; and
(iii) the Government Employees to travel by Metro Liners and A/C Buses also, subject to condition that the
share of Government should not exceed 2/3rd cost of travel by ordinary buses and the remaining cost is
to be borne by the Government Employee concerned.
6. The Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, A.P.S.R.T.C., shall take necessary action in the matter.
7. This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department, vide their U. O.
No.9944/614/A1/Exp.GAD.I/10, dt.26-10-2010.
