a) WWW
Ans: - WWW is a set of internet standards, protocols and programs that allow access and display of rich-media
content (text, graphics, videos, audio and other multimedia content) over the internet. It was created in the
year 1990 by British Physicist Tim Berners Lee. WWW consist of websites( and webpages) that are hosted on a
wed server.
b) Hyperlink
Ans: - A hyperlink, often referred to simply as a link, is a reference or connection between two pieces of web
content. It represents a link that can be open by clicking on it. Clicking a link often opens the webpage linked to
this hyperlink a webpage can have more than one link.
c) Website
Ans: - Website is consist of a set of related webpages hosted on a web server. Websites are accessible over the
network through the internet or private local area network. The default landing page of a website address is
called the home page or the index page or the landing page of the website.
d) Search engine
Ans: - A search engine is a software that is design to search and retrieve relevant information for the user from
the world wide web. It works by indexing and organizing vast amounts of web content and then providing
relevant results based on the user's search terms. Popular search engines include Google, Bing, and Yahoo etc.
8. Why do we need a Google drive? Write the steps to upload a file in Google drive.
Ans:- We need Google drive because it functions as a cloud storage platform offering users a space to store,
manage and access files from any device with internet connectivity. It simplifies file organization, supports
collaborative work integrates seamlessly with other Google services and provides a secure backup solution for
data across devices.
The steps to upload a file in Google drive are:
Step 1. Open the Google drive website (drive.google.com) or launch the Google drive application on the device.
Step 2. Click on the “New” button on the left side of the page.
Step 3. Select “File upload” option.
Step 4. Locate and choose the file to upload and then click “open”.
Step 5. The file is uploaded in the Google drive.
