Tupac Amaru Shakur Biography
Tupac Amaru Shakur, aka 2Pac, aka Makaveli was born as Lesane Parish Crooks.
Many might don't know, but he was born on the east side in New York city on 16th
June 1971.His parents were political activists members of "The Black Panther
Party".
Pac's mother Afeni Shakur was pregnant with Tupac while she was in jail on
bombing harges and she might not known who his father was at that time.2Pac
thought in his early years that a man named "Legs" was his father. That man
introduced his mother to crack. He was a very small child when his mother changed
his name to Tupac Amaru Shakur after Inca Indian revoliutionary. The new name
Tupac Amaru means "Shining serpent" and Shakur means "Thankful to God" translate
from Arabic. It's known that everybody called Tupac "The Black Prince".When 2Pac
was two years old his sister Sekyiwa Shakur was born. This child's father might
be Mutulu Shakur. He also was a black panther, an activist who few months before
the birth of his child was sentenced for a fatal amoured-car robbery, which took
place in 1981.Hard times expect the family with Mutulu away. They moved to Bronx,
Harlem and homeless shelters.Later Tupac said "I remember crying all the time.My
major thing growin' up was that i couldn't fit in.I have no buddies that i grew
up with."
Beceuse of that instability Tupac grew up a troublesome child. When 2Pac was 10
his mother moved to Baltimore in the hope to give his little boy a chance in
life.He began to study in "Baltimore School of Arts".In his early years he
showed a lot of talent.Everybody understood at some point that this kid was
special. In that school he wrote his first rap under ti alias "MC New York" in
June 1986.Despite the happiness in Baltimore his mother moved again, this time
away from the east side to Marine City in California-America's westside.Like all
of you know both America's side would become the biggest factor of Tupac's life
and death. The feud between gang members and rappers on East and West side will
escalate out of control with Pac's help and will become legendary. After leaving
Baltimore 2Pac said "leaving this school affected me so much I see that as a
point where I got of track".Shortly after moving Tupac moves in bad
neighbourhood and began to slang drugs.2Pac's hood can be called anyway but not
normal.Pac was ever in struggle even in his earliest memories. That affected his
life and later his songs global. Many people don't understand Tupac and they're
dissing him.But they don't know what he's been through and what he saw in the
ghetto.Very few people realize what kind of man you have to be to elevate to the
top of that ghetto shit that's surrounding you and became the greatest rapper of
all time. You need a lot a character and you have to be blessed.2Pac had two
sides as a personal and as a rapper.A brutal side that made him do very bad
things. And a good side that many don't know.
If people knew Tupac, meet him or listen to him before he became a gangster and
thug they will understand that he had another side.In 1991 when he was with his
first tour with Digital Underground 2Pac talk about how he wants to turn
everything bad to good and change the world. He proclaims with enthusiasm of
youth who wants to accomplish everything at once. That was before he became a
gangster and thug.
2Pac tended to draw a lot a attention when he speak because he make people laugh
but also listen to him.It was hard not to like him because he looked well and
dressed well. But the things he saw in his life before affected him so much.Later
in his career he showed more of his dark side. But still in his songs if we look
deeper we can see the good side of him.Through all the struggles 2Pac and his
homies had to get over he still told them "Keep Ya Head Up".He inspire many
people. But his dark side also affect many people in bad ways.Tupac seemed to
constantly strugle with his both sides. He seemed like he can decide what to be-a
gang member and a thug or a "revolutionary".
In 1990 Tupac entered rap group named Digital Underground as a rapper/singer and
went on a tour with them.By this time he was arrested 8 times.Once again he was
showing both sides of his soul.He was even a subject of two dead cases. One of
them involved a six year old kid killed in a gunfire between 2Pac's gang and a
rival gang.while he was on the tour with his group Tupac learned that his mother
Afeni is doing crack. That affects him a lot and also affects his songs at that
time.A time which he said was the baddest time in his life so far.But yet 2pac
was in the group trying to get on his own one day.And on 3rd January 1991 Tupac
made his recording debut on Digital Underground's Same Song.In 1991 Pac entered
his best years. He broke free from Digital Underground and on November 12th 1991
he releases his debut solo album "2PACALYPSE NOW".The album was hot at that time
and eventually was going to be gold with the help of his singles releases such
as "Brenda's got a baby".However shortly after his release he had problems with
the law again. In the same year 2Pac made his film debut in Erick Dickinson's
film named "Juice".The film had a success in Hollywood and earnt Tupac a praise
for his character "Bishop".May be he was best remembered for the line "I'm crazy
and I don't give a fuck!"
On April 11th 1992 Ronald Ray Howard aged 19 shoots a Texas trooper. The attorney
of the youngster claim that Tupac lyrics from the his debut album incited the
kid to kill the trooper. That had a very bad effect on Pac`s life and career. His
problems with the law and his lifestyle from now on came on closer scrunity. The
only thing that helped 2Pac at the time was that his audiences believed his
gangster lyrics to be truthful and most importantly not fake.
In 1993 Tupac releases his second album named "STRICTLY 4 MY N.I.G.G.A.Z" which
became a platinum. In the same year he participate in the movie "Poetic Justice"
with Janet Jackson. But because of his reputation with women, Janet requested him
to have a HIV test before she do any kissing scenes with him.Despite his success
and rising fame 2Pac still had problems with the law that included a violent
attack on a police officer.Because of his "anti-police" and "agressive" lyrics
the Vice President of USA declare that Tupac's lyrics "promote gang violence and
have no place in society".But that declaration made him more popular. And a lot a
people start to see him as a True Thug. However 2pac's life was put in doubt in
November 30th 1994 when he was shot 5 times and also robbed in the lobby of Quad
Studies in New York's Time Square. The thieves made of with 40,000$
jewellery.Later Tupac said that rapper named Biggie aka Notorious B.I.G was
involved in the shooting. That made tension between East and West coast and got
them into a beef.Tupac and Biggie began to lyrically attack each other as they
were each from opposite coasts. The two rappers used to be a friends before and
used to work together earlier in their carriers. But because of many public feuds
like:Biggie stole lyrics from 2Pac whilst he was in jail,Biggie and Bad Boys
Records supposed act of betrayal in Tupac's attempted assassination, the fact
that 2Pac switch sides and go from Baltimore to California on the west coast, and
that Tupac claimed that he slept with Biggie's wife Faith Evans, the beef between
these two became worse.
Tupac got out of the hospital just 3 hours after the surgery and recovered to
record some of his most popular songs. But there was another problem on his way
to his dream. He was sentenced to 4 and a half years in jail in New York because
of his convention of weapons and sexual assault. The legendary "Me Against The
World" was released whilst his sentence. But despite that the song debuted as N1
in the USA "Billboard Chart".While 2Pac was in jail the president of biggest and
powerful hip hop label Death Row ,Marion "Suge" Knight had arranged parole for
Tupac who only served 8 months of his sentence and posted $1.4 million bail. The
deal was that 2Pac was signed by Death Row Records and had to release 3 albums
under that label.Few months later he released his third album named "All eyez on
me".The album became very popular and became over 9 times platinum after selling
6 million copies in it's first year. The album featured the song "California
Love" featuring rap legend Dr.Dre.Tupac earned worldwide success and was the
biggest influence on the youth since the legendary N.W.A..In the same year Tupac
receive many offers by producers. He concentrate on his acting and participate in
2 films-"GRIDLOCKD" and "BULLET".
But Tupac couldn't escape his dark side as he continued to get in trouble with
the police and other people. He also continued East coast vs West coast beef with
the song "2 of Amerikaz most Wanted"(featuring Snoop Doggy Dogg). In the video
caricatures of Biggie and Puffy are punished for setting him up.Tupac continue
to attack with his song "Hit em up" which is a brutal diatribe against Biggie,
Bad Boy, Mobb Deep, Jay Z and others. This beef was getting more serious every
single day and the possibility to end with brutal violence was bigger than
ever.2Pac continued to get himself into trouble. On September 4th he went back to
East coast and especially New York for MTV music awards. Then he got into
scuffle.Just three days later on September 7th for reasons still not known to
the police he got into a scuffle at the "Mike Tyson vs Bruce Seldon" fight in
Las Vegas. After leaving the fight with Death Row CEO Suge Knight in his car
Tupac was shot 4 times by an assailant in white cadillac in drive by style.Suge
Knight could escape with minor injury.Tupac is rushed to University Medical
Center and undergoes a surgery.The issue - 2Pac's right lung was removed.On
September 11th a Compton man was is shot. The police associated him with LA Crips
Gang.He was shot while sitting in his car. This is the first of many murders
after Tupac was shot few days later.Six days later Tupac passed away at 4:03 pm
five days after the shooting took place at young age 25.Tupac said it too often
that he didn't believe he will live more than 30 years. That may be because of
his lifestyle. He changed his alias to Makaveli reffering to the italian
politician Machiavelli who wrote about cheating death. The main suspect of Pac's
murder Orlando Anderson was also shot death.Close friend of Tupac and member of
his group "The Outlawz" Yafeu Fula aka Kadaffi was also killed.
After Tupac's dead his mother Afeni Shakur filed a lawsuit against Death Row.She
wanted all of her sons' material to be passed on to herself. She said that Tupac
was making plans to leave Death Row and start his own company.Later Amaru set up
"Amaru Records".Many raised from releases would go to good cause."TASF" aka
Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation would help many kids from poor area to have a
chance in life.
2Pac's first album after his death was released on November 5,1996 and was named
"Makaveli: The 7 Day Theory" the last album on Death Row Records. His next album
was released more than a year later on November 27,1997 and was named "R U Still
Down (remember me).He was released on Amaru/Jive records and was certified
platinum on December 15 ,1997.Tupac next album was double CD named "Greatest
Hits" released on November 24,1998.It is collection of his best songs. That album
is maybe his most popular one and reached platinum level 9 times. That shows once
again that 2Pac is still popular and maybe more popular after his dead.On
December 14, 1999 was released his next album named "Still I Rise".He became 2X
platinum. The next one "The Rose That Grew From Concrete" was released on
November 21,2000.After half year on March 27,2001 was released his next album
named "Until The End Of Time".He became 2X platinum. Most memorable hits from
that one are "Until the end of time" the remix of the song "Broken wings' and
"Letter to my unbourn".
By this point every fan of Tupac is shocked because of the simple fact that 5
years after his death his newest albums feature new songs as good if not better
as the old ones. However on November 26,2002 was released his next album named
"Better Dayz".The next album release on 6th Octomber 2003 was named "Nu-Mixx
Klazzics" and was released by Death Row Records who of course lost the right ot
2Pac unreleased work.So the album featured remixes of his old hits such as "2 of
Amerikaz Most Wanted' , "How Do You Want It" and "Hit Em Up".The next official
release is on 10th November,2003 - "Tupac:Ressurection" in form of a soundtrack
to the official documentary. The album feature some of his unreleased vocals and
some of his first singles. On the August 16th,2004 Death Row released another
album named "2Pac-Live"
featuring also old material remixes and live appearences of Tupac.

[Chorus: Makaveli]
[Makaveli]
I ain't a killer but don't push me
Revenge is like the sweetest joy next to getting pussy
Picture paragraphs unloaded, wise words being quoted
Peeped the weakness in the rap game and sewed it
Bow down, pray to God hoping that he's listening
Seeing niggas coming for me, to my diamonds, when they glistening
Now pay attention, rest in peace father
I'm a ghost in these killing fields
Hail Mary catch me if I go, let's go deep inside
the solitary mind of a madman who screams in the dark
Evil lurks, enemies, see me flee
Activate my hate, let it break, to the flame
Set trip, empty out my clip, never stop to aim
Some say the game is all corrupted, fucked in this shit
Stuck, niggas is lucky if we bust out this shit, plus
mama told me never stop until I bust a nut
Fuck the world if they can't adjust
It's just as well, Hail Mary
[Chorus 2X]
[Makaveli]
Penitentiaries is packed with promise makes
Never realize the precious time the bitch niggas is wasting
Institutionalized I lived my life a product made to crumble
But too hardened for a smile, we're too crazy to be humble, we balling
Catch me father please, cause I'm falling, in the liquor store
That's the Hennessee I hear ya calling, can I get some more?
Hail 'til I reach Hell, I ain't scared
Mama checking in my bedroom; I ain't there
I got a head with no screws in it, what can I do
One life to live but I got nothing to lose, just me and you
on a one way trip to prison, selling drugs
We all wrapped up in this living, life as Thugs
To my homeboys in Clinton Max, doing they bid
Raise hell to this real shit, and feel this
When they turn out the lights, I'll be down in the dark
Thuggin eternal through my heart, now Hail Mary nigga
[Chorus 2X]
[Kastro]
They got a APB, out on my Thug family
Since the Outlawz run these streets, like these skanless freaks
Our enemies die now, walk around half dead
Head down, K blasted off Hennessee and Thai
Trying it, mixed it, now I'm twisted blisted and high
Visions of me, Thug living getting me by
Forever live, and I multiply survived by Thugs
When I die they won't cry unless they coming with slugs
[Young Noble]
Peep the whole scene and whatever's going on around me
Brain kinda cloudy, smoked out feeling rowdy
Ready to wet the party up, and whoever in that motherfucker
Nasty new street, slugger my heat seeks suckers
on the regular mashing in a stolen black Ac Integ-ra
Cock back, sixty seconds 'til the draw that's when I'm dead in ya
Feet first, you got a nice gat but my heat's worse
From a Thug to preaching church, I gave you love now you eating dirt
Needing work, and I ain't the nigga to put you on
Cause word is bond when I was broke I had to hustle 'til dawn
That's when sun came up, there's only one way up
hold ya head and stay up, to all my niggas get ya pay and weight up
[Kastro]
If it's on then it's on, we break beat-breaks
Outlawz on a paper chase, can you relate
to this shit I don't got, be the shit I gotta take
Dealing with fate, hoping God don't close the gate
If it's on then it's on, we break beat-breaks
Outlawz on a paper chase, can you relate
to this shit I don't got, be the shit I gotta take
Dealing with fate, hoping God don't close the gate
[Prince Ital]
We've been traveling on this wayward road
Long time 'til I be take a 'eavy load
But we ride, ride it like a bullet
Hail Mary, Hail Mary
We won't worry everything will come real
Free like the bird in the tree
We won't worry everything will come real
Yes we free like the bird in the tree
We running from the penitentiary
This is the time for we liberty
Hail Mary, Hail Mary
[Chorus]
[Makaveli]
Westside, Outlawz, Makaveli the Don, Solo, Killuminati, The 7 Days
[Chorus]
From tha Cradle to the Grave, life ain't never been easy
Living in the ghetto.
From the cradle to the grave, life ain't never been easy
Living in the ghetto.
[Chorus]
From the cradle to the grave, life ain't never been easy
Living in the ghetto. easy
From the cardle to the grave, life ain't never been easy
Living in the ghetto.
[Chorus]
From the cradle to the grave, life ain't never been easy
Living in the ghetto.
[Chorus]
From the cradle to the grave, life ain't never been easy
Living in the ghetto.
From the cradle to the grave, life ain't never been easy
Living in the ghetto.
March 18th
a rainy day my mama gave birth
To a baby boy trapped in hell on Earth.
From day one it wasn't fun I never had a crumb.
Daddy worked two jobs and Mama won't stop drinkin' rum.
I tried to cope loc
but my family's broke
And my pocket's short
so now I gotta sling dope.
In a game filled with pain it's a fuckin' shame,
The white man got a motha fucka slingin' cane.
So now it's on from dusk to dawn I get my serve on.
Always in the spot with my glock slingin' rocks at the rocks.
Shit don't stop I'm steady dodgin' cops.
I never flip flop
hear my glock cock
thug till I drop.
And if I hit the pen I gotta do my time
Sittin' on my bunk reminiscing about the good times.
It's fucked up a nigga gotta grow up doing dirt,
But from the cradle to the grave I'ma put in work.
[Chorus]
From the cradle to the grave, life ain't never been easy
Living in the ghetto.
From the cradle to the grave, life ain't never been easyy
Living in the ghetto.
I love that song. That song shows many people that Tupac got good side too.
To my unborn child..
To my unborn child.. in case I don't make it
Just remember daddy loves you
[talking in background]
To my unborn child..
To my unborn..
[2Pac]
Now ever since my birth, I've been cursed since I'm born to wild
in case I never get to holla at my unborn child
Many things learned in prison, blessed and still livin
Tryin to earn every penny that I'm gettin, and reminiscin
to the beginnin of my mission
When I was conceived, and came to be in this position
My momma was a Panther loud, single parent but she proud
when she witnessed baby boy rip a crowd
To school, but I dropped out, and left the house
Cause my mama say I'm good for nothin, so I'm out
Since I only got one life to live, God forgive me for my sins
Let me make it and I'll never steal again, or deal again
My only friend is my misery
Wantin revenge for the agony they did to me
See my life ain't promised but it'll sure get better
Hope you understand my love letter, to my unborn child
[2Pac]
Seems so complicated to escape fate
And you can never understand 'til we trade places
Tell the world I feel guilty to bein anxious
Ain't no way in hell, that I could ever be rapist
It's hard to face this, cold world on a good day
When will they let the little kids in the hood play?
I got shot five times but I'm still breathin
Livin proof there's a God if you need a reason
Can I believe in my own fate
Will I raise my kids in the right, or the wrong way?
Dear mama I'm a man now
I wanna make it on my own, not a handout
Make way for a whirlwind prophesized
I wanna go in peace.. when I gotta die
On these cold streets, ain't no love, no mercy, and no friends
In case you never see my face again
To my unborn child
[Chorus]
[2Pac]
Dear Lord can you hear me, tell me what to say
to my unborn seed in, case I pass away
Will my child get to feel love
Or are we all just cursed to be street thugs? Cause bein black hurts
And even worse if you speak first
Livin my life as an Outlaw, what could be worse?
Cause maybe if I tried to change
Who I'm kiddin? I'ma thug 'til I die, I'ma rider mayne
Touch bases, eat lunch at plush places
Regular criminal oasis awaits us
If there's a ghetto for true thugs, I'll see you there
And I'm sorry for not bein there
Just know your daddy was a soldier, me against the world
Bless the boys, and all my little girls
To the Lord I'm eternal, restin in peace
Please take care of all my seeds, to my unborn child
"Even thugs cry sometimes" said Tupac in one interview.I don't know what to say
about that one.It was hot before it is hot now.Check it out!
[2Pac]
Born thuggin and lovin the way I came up
Big money clutchin, bustin while evadin cocaine busts
My pulse rushin, send my pulse into insanity
Shout at my cousin now we bustin if they yo' family
The coppers wanna see me buried, I ain't worried
I got a line on the D.A. cause I'm fuckin his secretary
I black out and start cussin, bust 'em and touch 'em all
They panic and bitches duckin, I rush 'em and fuck 'em all
I'll probably be an old man before I understand
why I had to live my life with pistols close at hand
Kidnapped my homey's sister, cut her face up bad
They even raped so we blazed they pad
Automatic shots rang out, on every block
They puttin hits out on politicians, even cops, I ain't lyin
They got me sleepin with my infrared beams
And in my dreams I hear motherfuckers screamin
What is the meaning, when thugs cry?
[Chorus: singers]
Oh why, children send your child off to die
In the streets of chalk where they lie
Let no wrongs cry out when thugs cry
Dear God..
Oh why, does it have to be this way, our
children of today won't stay wise
Let the children hear when thugs cry
Dear God.. oh why..
[("When thugs cry") on line 4, first time only]
[("thugs cry") on line 6, first time only]
[2Pac]
Heh.. maybe my addiction to friction got me buggin
Where is the love? Never quit my ambition to thug
Ain't shed a tear since the old school years of elementary
Niggaz I used to love, enclosed in penitentiaries
But still homey keep it real, how does it feel
to lose your life, over somethin that you did as a kid?
You all alone, no communication, block on the phone
Don't get along with yo' pop, and plus your moms is gone
Where did we go wrong? I put my soul in the song
to help us grow at times, but now our minds are gone
We went from brothers and sisters, to niggaz and bitches
We went from welfare livin, to worldwide riches
But somethin changed in this dirty game, everything's strange
Lost all my homies over cocaine.. mayne
See they ask me if I shed a tear, I ain't lie
See you gotta get high or die, cause even thugs cry
[Chorus]
[2Pac]
And all I see is these paranoid bitches, illegal adventures
Bustin motherfuckers with uppercuts, I leave 'em with dentures
Cause in my criminal mind, nobody violates the Don
I write your name on a piece of paper, now your family's gone
Why perpetrate like you can handle my team?
So merciless that my attack'll take command of your dreams
Leavin motherfuckers drownin in they own blood
Clownin takin pictures later
Laugh bout the punk bitches, that turned snitches
Regulate my area, the terror I represent
Makin yo' people disappear, you wonderin where they went?
Am I cold or is it just I sold my soul?
Addicted to these streets, never find true peace I'm told
Come take my body God, don't let me suffer any longer
Smoke a pound of marijuana, so I know it ain't long
Where is the end to all my misery, is there a close?
I suppose that's why I murder my foes, when thugs cry
[Chorus]
[Chorus]
2Pac]
No man seperate what we create
Unstoppable, untouchable, motherfuckin worldwide mob figures
Death Row at it's finest!
M.O.B., thug for motherfuckin lifeMotherfuckin made niggaz
We comin after these niggaz, worldwide
Feel me! Makaveli the Don
[Napolean]
Nigga I was raised on the streets, I had to hustle just to eat
My role model was killin niggaz so I know, I would never be
weak
They got me sittin wonderin, where my life begins
These niggaz crossed my father den my father crossed them
Cause I roll with Immortal Thug niggaz
And my number one plan to kill a man to grab a needle and drug
niggaz
Niggaz don't like us because they bitches straight love us
The President told us to leave, cause the government don't want
us
It's Napolean, I get my pleasure out of sin
and seein blood spill ain't shit cause I seen it at the
beginnin
A made nigga
[Fatal Hussein]
How many niggaz fall in ya vision?
Gunnin 'em down for every last minute that I spent in prison
We mash together, plus we get cash together
Blast whenever knowin it don't last forever
It's only one way out and one way in
Motherfuckers cross and get crossed out, never made men
We find excuses to loot, cock, and shoot
Blow the roof off them groups like (?)Rachmel Raouf(?)
I can't be touched cause of the weapons I clutch
And the niggaz that I'm under, is just too much
We made niggaz
[E.D.I.]
Picture the scenery cause for now you gon' have to imagine
Call me a prophet cause I predicted what's gon' happen
I began the paper, stackin at those
who be paper snatchin, will emerge like crack in the 80's
Baby, maybe, that's if I slip
But I became official since the start of this, Edi Amin
Born July, 7th a few shed eyes
Precious but others gave me they hate, to cherish
But still I made it, a made nigga made by the game
Made for war, my aim is simple and plain
Yeah whether it's 'caine, or these tracks made for your brain
You'll forever know my name, Edi Amin
[Kastro]
I ain't count the line, my strap, not head,

With my mentality of war, dead bodies and silence give it to ya

The results of livin poor, got me thinkin on a made level
Shootin my gauge to get paid, a fuckin crazed devil
Mash shit from here to there day by day, year to year

To be the man
In this wicked land
Underhanded hits are planned
These scams are plotted
Over grams of rocks
And undercover agents die by the random shots
We all die in the end so revenge we swore
I was all about my ends

Got me a dog and named him mobb-bitch nigga eater

2Pac-Untouchable lyrics
Nigga controller
Whenever y'all niggas try to roll up
Thinking I'm a ho, well, come and let me show ya
I'm a light up the rhythm like dosia
Dumping so potent, nigga don't choke up
Flow up
Makaveli The Don, got niggas strapped and ready to bomb
As soon as I send the alarm, and when we're done
We've committed a red rum, leaving the enemies dead and gone
Leaving 'em niggas head's blown, cause they know they dead wrong
When the shots ring out you know we're coming through (Know we're coming
through)
Talk a lot with your mouth, well what you gon' do? (So what you gon' do?)
Shut 'em down, busters be knowing to keep they distance
Thugs don't f**k around
We get back at 'em so swiftly, niggas is with me underground
Slug in a niggas mug, reppin' Midwest Side
Niggas if you a thug get your weapon, let's ride
Ride for Pac, Pac, get live for Pac, Pac, Pop off the Glock, Glock
The thugging it don't stop
Pac shouts out his respect for the hood!Something we all gotta have these days!
My eyes stay teary for all the brothers that are buried in the
cemetery
Life in the pen ain't for me, cause I'd rather die
But don't cry through your despair
Used to be a close knit community but now we're all cold strangers
Alcohol will make a lazy nigga slip and fall, miss his call
I know the young niggaz understand this
And what's strange is that everybody knows my name, swear they all
know me
And lots of cash make a nigga change
To live and die in L.A is great song from the greatest in hip hop.2Pac is proud
to be a westcoaster and also proud with the city he run in mid 90s.Only thing he
wants is to live and die in LA.
To live and die in LA, where everyday we try to fatten our pockets
Us niggaz hustle for the cash so it's hard to knok it
Everybody got they own thang, currency chasin
Worldwide through the hard times, warrior faces
Shed tears as we bury niggaz close to heart
What was a friend now a ghost in the dark, cold hearted bout it
Nigga got smoked by a fiend, tryin to floss on him
Blind to a broken man's dream, a hard lesson
Court cases keep me guessin, plea bargain
ain't an option now, so I'm stressin, cost me more
to be free than a life in the pen
Makin money off of cuss words, writin again
Learn how to think ahead, so I fight with my pen
Late night down Sunset likin the scene
What's the worst they could do to a nigga got me lost in hell
To live and die in LA on bail, my angel sing
Chorus
Chorus
Outro: Makaveli
Classic 2Pac song featuring trick diddy.Everybody knew this song. Some mad rhymes
by both rappers and also very very hot beat in this one.
[Chorus: 2Pac]
Still ballin, 'til the day I die
You can bring your crew but we remain true motherfuckers
Still ballin, niggaz wonder why
You can bring your crew but we remain true motherfuckers
Still ballin

Me against the world [3X]
In this masterpiece 2Pac is trying to convince him self that life goes on after
losing some loved ones.
[Verse One:]
[Chorus]
[Verse Two:]
Yeah nigga
I got tha word as hell
Ya blew trial and tha judge gave you
25 with an L
Time to prepare to do fed time
Won't see parole
Imagine life as a convict
What's getten' old
Plus with tha drama
We're lookin out for your babies mama
Taken risks, while keepin' cheap tricks from gettin on her...
Life in tha hood is all good for nobody
Remember gamin' on dumb hoties at chill parties
Me and you
No true a two
While scheming on hits
And gettin tricks
Ahat maybe we can slide into
but now you burried
Rest nigga
Cause I ain't worried
Eyes blurried
Sayin' goodbye at the cemetary
tho' memories fade
I got your name tatted on my arm
So we both ball til' my dying days
before I say goodbye
Kato and Mental rest in peace
Thug till I die!
[Chorus]
[Verse Three:]
Bury me smilin'
with G's in my pocket
Have a party at my funeral
Let every rapper rock it
Let tha hoes that I usta know
from way before
Kiss me from my head to my toe
Give me a paper and a pen
So I can write about my life of sin
A couple bottles of Gin
In case I don't get in
Tell all my people i'm a Ridah
Nobody cries when we die
we outlaws, let me ride
until I get free
I live my life in tha fast lane
got police chasen me
to my niggas from old blocks
from old crews
niggas that guided me through
back in tha old school
Pour out some liquor
Have a toast for tha homies
See we both gotta die but ya chose to go before me
And brothas miss ya while your gone
You left your nigga on his own
How long we mourn
Life goes on
On his debut single from 1991's 2Pacalypse now, 2Pac raps about all the
struggles of a 12 year old girl that has a baby.
Baaaaaaaaby
2Pac and Rappin' 4-Tay spit their mind about death and the life after. "I hear
the doctor standing over me, screamin I can make it /Got a body full of bullet
holes layin here naked /Still I, can't breathe..."
[Intro: 2Pac]
[Chorus: 2Pac]
[Chorus w/ variations]
[Interlude: 2Pac]
[Chorus w/ variations]
2Pac is the nigga who made it cool to glorify the mamas in Hip Hop.Pac`s soft
and sentimental lyrics made “Dear Mama” one Hip Hop masterpiece, as he pats mama
on the back for attempting to liberate him from street life.
Lady...
Don't cha know we love ya? Sweet lady
Dear mama
Place no one above ya, sweet lady
You are appreciated
Don't cha know we love ya?
[second and third chorus, "And dear mama" instead of "Dear mama"]
[Chorus]
Pour out some liquor and I reminsce, cause through the drama
I can always depend on my mama
And when it seems that I'm hopeless
You say the words that can get me back in focus
When I was sick as a little kid
To keep me happy there's no limit to the things you did
And all my childhood memories
Are full of all the sweet things you did for me
And even though I act craaazy
I gotta thank the Lord that you made me
There are no words that can express how I feel
You never kept a secret, always stayed real
And I appreciate, how you raised me
And all the extra love that you gave me
I wish I could take the pain away
If you can make it through the night there's a brighter day
Everything will be alright if ya hold on
It's a struggle everyday, gotta roll on
And there's no way I can pay you back
But my plan is to show you that I understand
You are appreciated
[Chorus]
Sweet lady
And dear mama
Dear mama
Lady [3X]
[2Pac Talking]
At Thug Mansion
[Verse 1 - 2Pac]
[Chorus]
[Verse 2 - Nas]
[Verse 3 - 2Pac]
[Chorus]
Some people think that this is pac`s best song ever, the perfect showcase of the
man's soft side .He tells his brothers to stay ahead of the misery and everyday
struggle and keep the respect for the ladies, and to the his message for the
girls is to fight for their rights!
Little somethin for my godson Elijah and a little girl named Corinne
[Verse One:]
Some say the blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice
I say the darker the flesh then the deeper the roots
I give a holler to my sisters on welfare
Tupac cares, and don't nobody else care
And uhh, I know they like to beat ya down a lot
When you come around the block brothas clown a lot
But please don't cry, dry your eyes, never let up
Forgive but don't forget, girl keep your head up
And when he tells you you ain't nuttin don't believe him
And if he can't learn to love you you should leave him
Cause sista you don't need him
And I ain't tryin to gas ya up, I just call em how I see em
You know it makes me unhappy (what's that)
When brothas make babies, and leave a young mother to be a pappy
And since we all came from a woman
Got our name from a woman and our game from a woman
I wonder why we take from our women
Why we rape our women, do we hate our women?
I think it's time to kill for our women
Time to heal our women, be real to our women
And if we don't we'll have a race of babies
That will hate the ladies, that make the babies
And since a man can't make one
He has no right to tell a woman when and where to create one
So will the real men get up
I know you're fed up ladies, but keep your head up
[Chorus]
Keep ya head up, oooo child things are gonna get easier
ooooo child things are gonna get brighter [2x]
[Verse Two:]
[Chorus]
[Verse Three:]
And uhh
To all the ladies havin babies on they own
I know it's kinda rough and you're feelin all alone
Daddy's long gone and he left you by ya lonesome
Thank the Lord for my kids, even if nobody else want em
Cause I think we can make it, in fact, I'm sure
And if you fall, stand tall and comeback for more
Cause ain't nuttin worse than when your son
wants to kno why his daddy don't love him no mo'
You can't complain you was dealt this
hell of a hand without a man, feelin helpless
Because there's too many things for you to deal with
Dying inside, but outside you're looking fearless
While tears, is rollin down your cheeks
Ya steady hopin things don't all down this week
Cause if it did, you couldn't take it, and don't blame me
I was given this world I didn't make it
And now my son's getten older and older and cold
From havin the world on his shoulders
While the rich kids is drivin Benz
I'm still tryin to hold on to my survivin friends
And it's crazy, it seems it'll never let up, but
please... you got to keep your head up
[Verse One]
If I could recollect a-from my hood days
I sit and reminisce, thinkin of bliss on the good days
I stop and stare at the younger, my heart goes to 'em
They tested with stress that they under
And nowadays things change
Everyone's ashamed of the youth cause the truth look, strange
And for me it's a first
We left 'em a world that's cursed, and it - hurts
Cause any day they'll push the button
And all come in like Malcolm X or Bobby Hutton died for nuttin
Don't it make you get teary, the world looks dreary
When you wipe yo' eyes see it clearly
There's no need for you to FEAR me
If you take your time and HEAR me, maybe you can learn to CHEER me
It ain't about black or white cause we human
I hope we see the light before it's ruined, my ghetto gospel
[Chorus]
[Verse Two]
Tell me do you see that old lady, ain't it sad
Livin out of bags, plus shes glad for the little things she, has
And over there there's a lady, crack got her crazy
Guess who's givin birth to a, baby?
I don't trip and let it fade me
From out of the fryin pan, we jump into another form of slavery
Even now I get discouraged
Wonder if they take it all back, will I still keep the - courage?
I refuse to be a role model
I set goals, take control, drink out my own bottles
I made mistakes, but learned from every one
And when it's said and done, I bet there's got to be a better one
If I upset you don't stress, never forget
That God is up in this with me yet
I feel his hand on my brain
When I write rhymes I go blind and let the Lord do his, thang
But am I less holy?
Cause I chose to puff a blunt, and drink a beer with my homies
Before we find world peace
We gotta find peace within the war in the streets, my ghetto gospel
[Chorus]
[2Pac]
Lord can you hear me speak? ..
The pain and strife of bein hellbound
2Pac-Hit Em Up lyrics
Chorus:
Grab ya glocks, when you see Tupac
Call the cops, when you see Tupac, uhh
Who shot me, but ya punks didn't finish
Now ya bout to feel the wrath of a menace
NIGGA, I hit em' up...
Interlude: 2Pac

Verse Two:
Get out the way yo, get out the way yo

Chorus
Verse Four:

No points to be calmer, we bringin drama to all you heards
Knuckle check the scenario, Little Cease

And you bast stops squaws get mopped and dropped
All your fake-ass east coast props brainstormed and locked
Verse Four:
Youse a, beat biter, a Pac style taker
I'll tell you to ya face you aint shit but a faker
Softer than Alize with a chaser
Bout to get murdered for the paper
Idi Amin approach the scene
Write a caper, like a loc, with little ceaser in a choke hold
Totin smoke, we aint no muthafuckin joke
Thug Life, niggaz betta be knowin, we approchin

no need for hopin its a battle lost, I got across
Soon as the funk was poppin off

Outro: 2Pac
Now you tell me who won

This is definitely one of the most famous Pac’s songs and in my opinion the best
rap single of all times . In “Changes” 2Pac shows the real life of the black man
and the struggles negros had to get over every day . 2Pac tells us the ways to
make a change and stop racism and violence on the streets. We have to find peace
in the streets!
2Pac-changes video
2Pac-Changes lyrics
-1-
Come on come on
I see no changes wake up in the morning and I ask myself
is life worth living should I blast myself?
I’m tired of bein’ poor & even worse I’m black
my stomach hurts so I’m lookin’ for a purse to snatch
Cops give a damn about a negro
pull the trigger kill a nigga he’s a hero
Give the crack to the kids who the hell cares
one less hungry mouth on the welfare
First ship ‘em dope & let ‘em deal the brothers
give ‘em guns step back watch ‘em kill each other
It’s time to fight back that’s what Huey said
2 shots in the dark now Huey’s dead
I got love for my brother but we can never go nowhere
unless we share with each other
We gotta start makin’ changes
learn to see me as a brother instead of 2 distant strangers
and that’s how it’s supposed to be
How can the devil take a brother if he’s close to me?
I’d love to go back to when we played as kids
but things change, and that’s the way it is
::CHORUS::
That’s just the way it is
Things’ll never be the same
That’s just the way it is
aww yeah
(Repeat)
-2-
I see no changes all I see is racist faces
misplaced hate makes disgrace to races
We under I wonder what it takes to make this
one better place, let’s erase the wasted
Take the evil out the people they’ll be acting right
’cause both black and white is smokin’ crack tonight
and the only time we chill is when we kill each other
it takes skill to be real, time to heal each other
And although it seems heaven sent
We ain’t yet, to see a black President, uhh
It ain’t a secret don’t conceal the fact
the penitentiary’s packed, and it’s filled with blacks
But some things will never change
try to show another way but you stayin’ in the dope game
Now tell me what’s a mother to do
bein’ real don’t appeal to the brother in you
You gotta operate the easy way
“I made a G today” But you made it in a sleazy way
sellin’ crack to the kids. ” I gotta get paid,”
Well hey, that’s the way it is
::CHORUS::
That’s just the way it is
Things’ll never be the same
That’s just the way it is
aww yeah
(Repeat)
Talking:
We gotta make a change…
It’s time for us as a people to start makin’ some changes.
Let’s change the way we eat, let’s change the way we live
and let’s change the way we treat each other.
You see the old way wasn’t working so it’s on us to do
what we gotta do, to survive.
-3-
And still I see no changes can’t a brother get a little peace
It’s war on the streets & the war in the Middle East
Instead of war on poverty they got a war on drugs
so the police can bother me
And I ain’t never did a crime I ain’t have to do
But now I’m back with the blacks givin’ it back to you
Don’t let ‘em jack you up, back you up,
crack you up and pimp smack you up
You gotta learn to hold ya own
they get jealous when they see ya with ya mobile phone
But tell the cops they can’t touch this
I don’t trust this when they try to rush I bust this
That’s the sound of my tool you say it ain’t cool
my mama didn’t raise no fool
And as long as I stay black I gotta stay strapped
& I never get to lay back
‘Cause I always got to worry ’bout the pay backs
some buck that I roughed up way back
comin’ back after all these years
rat-tat-tat-tat-tat that’s the way it is uhh
::CHORUS::
That’s just the way it is
Things’ll never be the same
That’s just the way it is
aww yeah
